The location was a bit obscure. The staff was friendly and had it not been for their helpfulness my husband and I would not have made it in time to pick up the vehicle. Hertz NEEDS to correct it on their website. If you don’t then I’ll have to assume you DON’T care enough about customer satisfaction nor your employees because I expect they are constantly dealing with clients who are lost or need assistance getting to the location. Otherwise, the vehicle was a smooth ride, clean and ample space for long distance travel. Thank you!

Drop-off was super easy. They let us use their lot to leave our car.

Cons:

They could have ensured the car they were giving had been properly cleaned. We received a car that had a plummet of cigarette smoke and with my wife having asthma that was hazardous.

Didnt mention the additional 200 dollar required deposit. Had to open an escalated ticket to get the refund. The guy at the desk was no help at all.

Cons:

The vehicle was so loud, I had to turn the radio's volume as high as it would go to hear it. I traveled for 12 hours in that state. It was an extremely unpleasant trip! I am now unsure if I should use Hertz in the future!

Pros:

I worry about details and whether my wife will be happy with the vehicle. The manager, Eva Garza was so helpful and had that great spirit that made the whole experience a joy. Eva is a great communicator and made the rental contract process quick and easy to understand. The vehicle was clean and wonderful. We prefer to rent with Avis as we have always had an excellent experiences in the past. The Avis location was excellent for us as well. I will recommend to all of my friends renting from Eva Garza at this Avis location. I took a bunch of her cards, too.

Cons:

Nothing. The experience could not have been better.

They kept trying to upcharge us for everything! Our original price went from $140 to like $400 before I said no to all extra charges. The drop off location was also INCREDIBLY difficult to find.

The vehicle I reserved had an inoperative AC compressor. Alamo quickly substituted an equivalent vehicle but the new car was EXTREMELY dirty from the previous family and had not likely been cleaned by Alamo. I was in an rush to depart for our family trip so I could not take the time to have Alamo clean the car. During the course of the rental period, I detailed the interior which was filthy and washed the outside of the vehicle. As I was returning the car at Orlando International Airport, the attendant asked me if I was happy with the rental. I explained what happened and what I had done. He instantly apologized and then offered to compensate me with a discount on the rental. I was overwhelmed and shocked that he would offer that to me without my asking. It shows how serious Alamo is about customer satisfaction. I would rent from Alamo any time I am on travel. Keep up the great work!

This was the worst car experience I ever had. My reservation was for 12pm but the car rental agency is. closed from 12pm - 2pm. When we showed up at 2pm they said because it had been two hours the reservation was cancelled and the car was already resold. BUT ITS NOT POSSIBLE as they were closed so how did they sell the car. Anyway they almost ruined our vacation but luckily there was a RENT - A - CAR across the street with a super friendly staff and ended up being cheaper. NEVER USE ALAMO IN DAX

The pick up experience was a mess. They didn’t have the car I booked and then wanted to “upgrade” me to something that wasn’t going to work for what I needed the car for. Ultimately, it was resolved by the customer service rep, but it delayed my trip and caused much frustration.

Payless has great customer service for the situation we were out in. The insurance prices are crazy but at the end of the day it wasn’t Payless fault. This is a country requirement that we did understand prior to booking. The pick up was easy and Luis was great!! Drop off was simple as well and super friendly. Car was cleaned when we picked up and that was appreciated.

The check-in process took forever. It was a large line and at the beginning the attendance. Chatting among each other, Delaying the process. Finally, a young man came in. And checked in as many people as the previous to attendance did together. I’ve been to this car rental before, and it brought a memory of the last time we experience the same thing. Very frustrating.

I prepaid for my car only to get to the counter and wait for just under an hour. Once assigned a car, I again waited because I was then told my car was double booked. I finally got a car, and it was a great car. However, after turning it in on time I was charged for 3 additional days because they had me down as driving a completely different car. Definitely will Pay More next time and rent from someone else.

Getting from baggage claim to Payless terminal had to stand in long lines to get on the bus. The customer service agent was very nice and friendly. We ended up getting an electric car, but never told us about what charging stations we could use being not familiar with that type of electric car and where the charging stations were a big problem wasted a lot of time during our driving experience, trying to find chargers that would work.

Payless always comes through, the pickup and dropoff process is fast and easy never any issue.. The payless cars are very updated and reliable, the price is always affordable and the deposit is always given back as soon as you drop it off, no extra charges or fees.. I highly recommend them, been using them for the past 3 yrs everytime i travel and not 1 issue..

I loved the car loved the easy pick up and return of the rental car. The airport made it very self explanatory to get the car back with white letters on the road to direct you back to the rental car return. Made me smile. I had to extend my rental due to not finishing the work I came down for and the company made it very easy to extend.

When I placed the order for this car on CarRentals.com, I was charged $40.95 which was described as: "the total cost of this reservation". When I went to pick up the car at Hertz, I was told that the vehicle license fee and taxes were not included - and was charged an additional $6.74. This information should be fully disclosed at the time the reservation is made.

Reserved a Jeep Cherokee type vehicle. 3rd party CarRental.com booked an electric car. I had to pay extra at the counter to get the type of vehicle I reserved. The vehicle I rented has significant wheel noise. No one is ever interested in listening or addressing the detailed issues

Pickup and return of the rental car to the CVG Cincinnati airport was superb. Returning a car quickly is so important with the pressure of getting it done before the flight time. The staff I worked with at CVG was excellent both in picking up the car and returning it.

Car was good and price was great , although the waiting times to pick up the car was quite high since only one person was working. In addition the worst part was when the drop off occured where there was no physical person and the car park was full and there was no space to park the car safely, we called the appropriate number but there was no people speaking proper English to guide us had to leave the car in a bad way parked which stressed us as all sorts of issues could occur, can expect one floor of car park to accommodate all the rentals.

Loved the 2024 Subaru Outback and a dream car to drive with 7k miles. Last rental with Alamo 2 weeks ago was a old Malibu with too many miles and should be retired. First experience with Dollar and a 10 star everyone was so nice!

This would have been a good experience apart from two things: 1) the repeated pestering texts and e-mails insisting that I check in online in advance, which I tried to do but the system didn't work; and 2) HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I waited for over half an hour to speak to someone in India who was hard to understand and then in the end said she couldn't do anything to change my pick-up time because I had booked through a third party service, and gave me a non-functional phone number to try to reach the airport desk. What a pity. The car was fine and the airport pick-up staff were fine. But I will never use Dollar again because that company wouldn't let those people just do their job.

Easirent did not post their hours. When we arrived at the airport the only thing we could do was rent from another car company. They closed at 6pm and our plane landed at 6:05. Instructions were unclear and hopefully I am not charged as I will dispute the charges since no services were rendered.

Line was long, I book my car for 12 but by the time i get my car it was 2pm, they never have the car I booked for, I booked a RAV-4 and they gave me a small sedan, they offered me other car that was smells and some some car the key doesn’t work properly.

Nothing was good. I will never use them again, or Kayak for that matter. There was no (obvious) mention of the fact that the facility closes at 6 pm. No other airport rental car facility closes that early. My flight landed at 5:50 and by the time I got off the plane and called for thier (call-to-arrange) shuttle, they had closed and there was no one even answering the phone at 5:59 pm. I had to Uber all over town to dinner, hotel, meetings, lunch and back to the airport. Never had a more worthless rental car experience.
