The vehicle I reserved was not available. Had to wait two hours for a vehicle that was unclean and unsafe (driver’s side brake light out) everything about the experience was awful. Even worse than the vehicle, was the nonchalant and uncaring attitude of the Hertz employees at the DFW location.Apparently, unless you are a Hertz gold customer you get treated like aluminum foil!!!!

great experience. nearly a brand new car and was given an upgraded model for free. i checked in before arrival and i literally walked to the car and drove off. the lady running the exit was very rude but no biggie. return of the car was equally simple. price was very good, high value experience. i would definitely look to use them again before looking at other rental options.

I travel for work and I rent a car no less than 20 days each month. Last time around, the staff was not friendly. The gold member desk agent said to me not to come to the gold member desk again, even though I’m a gold member, just because I booked through Kayak and not directly through their app. They usually mention to me that the booking is not connected to my gold account, but this time she was very rude to me and told me not to come here again. She was pushing on me to take an intermediate SUV instead of the luxury SUV I paid for, stating that they have none at the moment and I need to wait for a long time until one is available. I rejected, few minutes later she sent me to a luxury SUV parked at a reserved spot far at the end of the lot, and as I got to it I found the car dirty specially the glass all around and the dashboard, as if it was cleaned with a dirty rag. Drove the car to the gold member’s booth and had to wait for 20 minutes for someone to come clean it, the person who came did a terrible job and kept complaining that this is not her job and she’s not tall enough to reach the full glass, even from inside the car, then she offered me the cleaning cloth and I cleaned the car myself, and she watched. Few customers walked by and were surprised at the fact that the customer is cleaning the car and Hertz’s employee is watching. Some commented with disapproval and disappointment at the level of service Hertz have gotten to.

No one available to describe where or how to do after hours drop off, Couldn't find where to drop off my keys. The online portal was down at pickup slowing everyone's car pickup.
They did not allow me to take the rental after paying for it and signing the paperwork. They left me hanging after my flight was canceled at 11pm and asked me to go around asking if a rental car is available at other rental car companies. I will never go to Budget again.

They didn’t have a car ready for me. I waited over an hour, I had to ask an employee to have mercy of me and ask another company if they could lend them a vehicle. I rented a mini van because I had 3 car seats and 3 kids so I needed a bigger vehicle. I find it extremely upsetting that they made us wait that long to get a car we were confirmed for in advanced. There were about 25 people waiting for customers to return vehicles so we could grab them. It’s extremely disappointing and stressful when traveling. Also the budget employees were extremely slow, spending over 15 minutes with each person so someone from Avis pulled me to take care of my reservation and it took her 1 minute to do it. Also, why would you guys offer insurance, I booked it and then at the counter the employee says “that’s a third party you won’t have coverage” so why was that offered to begin with?

After landing at the airport and taking the bus to the rental location. I had to wait in line for well over an hour just to pick up a rental vehicle that I had booked well ahead of time online. I thought the process was going to be way faster and I will be thinking twice before booking online again.
The vehicle itself was nice and clean. However, once I received my e-receipt I saw I was charged for the extra daily coverage that I was not asked about nor did I authorize, raiding my bill and extra $250+. And equally annoying, there is no customer service number to call and get a real person to help. Would love my money back!

The car was not ready, then they gave us a dirty car that had not been cleaned between renters. The car was wobbly when going over 60 miles per hour.
Alamo had National run the counter. National's customer service was terrible. Separately, Kayak further should notify customers they must have a credit card NOT a debit card to rent a car if returning to a location that is not the pickup location. This negatively impacted my experience with KAYAK such that I cannot trust their services when critical details get skipped.

David who guided us to our car was extremely friendly and helpful. He gave us great instructions for leaving and returning to the facility
When I filled out the booking I put my daughter as the main driver but when she got to the counter, they would not give her the car because they said it was in my name. I called customer service and they had her as the main driver. I talked to Kayak and they had her as the main driver. But they would not give her the car. They wouldn't let her cancel the reservation either. So she had to rent another car and pay 3x what we reserved the car for and had to pay for the original rental even though they wouldn't give her the car. Pretty sure they had a glitch in their system but they were not willing to work with us at all. Very disappointing.

We felt fortunate to get our rental. There were only two agents working, by the time our delayed fight arrived, and the customer lines were very long. We were relieved to get a car, despite the fact that many customers did not. The customer service agent was very friendly and helpful.

I didn't like the extra fees they pushed onto me. What was a $140 2-day rental turned into a $280 bill by the end. I will stick with regular rental car companies.
Never actually received the vehicle. Cars were not available so after standing in line for over an hour had to leave via Uber to get to a meeting. Each customer ahead in line was taking 30+ minutes to get checked in. Slow and disorganized. Would expect a refund if card was charged.

Pick up was absolutely ridiculous. Took over two hours from entering the line to getting into the vehicle I had already scheduled. Completely screwed up all rest of my schedule. Upon return they have no record of me dropping the vehicle off, which was done on time on the correct date. Proceeded to try and charge me $1800 for a two day rental and had to close my credit card for fraudulent charges. To say least will never be using Avis again.

I rent a car in order to travel from dallas to houston, they assigns a e car without endurance for the trip. They rent me another car and charge me with 18 usd more.
The location was closed and was told to go to Avis that had a line a winding through the building. I never got my rental and gave up. SO I paid for nothing.

I reserved a mid-sized SUV. At pickup the rep tried to give me a corolla. Luckily, I know that is not even close to a mid-sized SUV and pushed back, so he offered a KIA Soul which is also not close to a mid-sized SUV, but he said it was the largest they had. I drove 12 hours in the car that was smaller than what I had originally booked.

No working telephone number at Dalles Fort Worth Airport and the office was not located in terminal, it requires two shuttle3s to get to the rental location. Additionally, they close at 4p.m. My flight arrived 3:30p.m. I did not end up renting from them because of timeline and extremely poor communications. National office tried to help but issue was with the local office.

Car was washed and cleaned, which was nice. There were a lot of scratches all over the car. I couldn’t get the agent at the exit gate to come out of the booth and review it with me. Overall pickup seemed rushed, that said everyone at the pickup counter and the parking was professional and friendly. I wish there was a more reasonable rate for long term rentals.

Car was fine but what really upsets me about this whole rental is that the daily insurance costs more than the car itself. The entire rental should have only cost $140 however with the insurance a 3 day rental was over $300. Online insurance as advertised as $18/day but at the terminal it was over $35/day. I will never rent here again.

Terrible, after arriving at 4 am, i was prepared to obtain my vehicle only to find out they would not allow me to rent it. My drivers license has expired, however I have the temporary issued one showing my DL has been renewed. They refused to allow a document that’s been authorized. Fortunately Avis was so wonderful and able to help me. Will never attempt to use them again. You get what you pay for.

They tried to steal $91 from me. I was told that in order to pay for the toll tag, I need to use the same card. They tried to run the credit card and it came back declined. So I spent the whole trip taking longer routes to avoid tolls. No problem. When I turn the rental in, they charged me $91 dollars for a toll tag, after they already knew it was declined. I never took a toll road, so why are they charging me for it. Been on the phone with them 2 times since I’ve been back and nothing has been rectified.

I never got a car. They said that if the reservation was made less than 24 hours before there were no cars available. Get it together.... don't set up your system to allow reservations if there are no cars available. It reminds me of airlines overbooking flights.

They did not have the car I reserved when I checked in. My option was upgrade and 2x my cost or sit and wait for an unknown amount of time and hope the car I reserved comes in. So I upgraded, to a smaller car, paid more for one I didn't want, because I had to.

I rented with Fox which is a division of Europecar. There was NO signage which said Fox. I had to ask a person where it was and they told me the companies were one and the same. They need more signage to acknowledge Fox.
Lot of restrictions can’t go out of Dallas , the cars are old , check Engine lights are on . 80k miles on the car . Have to wash and clean the car before giving back . And they denied cc for car cwd even I have the cc as primary .
