It seems like Hertz and KAYAK are not in sync with each other. I did everything online and when I when I arrived to pick up at Hertz they were asking for a $250 deposit. I told them that I had already booked online and everything was set but they argued that they are not the same company and what I did online has nothing to do with their company. If i had know this I most likely not have used KAYAK and went elsewhere.
Employees were extremely rude and unprofessional. The system was down for an hour and due to that I wasn’t able to get my car . It was an unprofessional mess!

The check-in process took forever. It was a large line and at the beginning the attendance. Chatting among each other, Delaying the process. Finally, a young man came in. And checked in as many people as the previous to attendance did together. I’ve been to this car rental before, and it brought a memory of the last time we experience the same thing. Very frustrating.

I prepaid for my car only to get to the counter and wait for just under an hour. Once assigned a car, I again waited because I was then told my car was double booked. I finally got a car, and it was a great car. However, after turning it in on time I was charged for 3 additional days because they had me down as driving a completely different car. Definitely will Pay More next time and rent from someone else.
Everyone at the Dallas Budget was extremely friendly and helpful! Thanks for making it a super great experience!

Van was dirty inside and out so went to car wash. Someone prior had an animal that salava was over windows and drool on seats and also hair. My charge was $182 and in error Budget charged my credit card $732. When calling Budget they escalated issue and came back and told me the only charged the $182 but my credit card showed the $732 was paid. I had to open a dispute with credit card company and I sent my Budget receipt and email that stated the charged only $182. It was after I did that I was able to get the $549 credit back to my card.

Nothing. Kayak pulled a fast one on me. They pulled a bait and switch. Worst experience for a car rental. I ordered a passenger van for at least 8 people and the description said Ford Transit of something similar. They had a picture of the van plus the description on the Kayak website. Payed up front for the rental and I called dollar Rental a week before my vacation trip to verify that they still had my van. The representative at Dollar assured me that it would be a Ford transit van for at least 8 people. Walked into Dollar rental on the day of and they had a Chysler van for us. Nothing remotely close to the Ford Transit passenger van! I ask the manager and they told me that they never have those on their lot. That Kayak does this all the time. Bait and switch. Had to upgrade to a bigger vehicle because they would not honor the Kayak website deal. Spend an extra $900 on top of the $500 for the Kayak website deal. Horrible experience, and I will never rent a car from Kayak or Dollar rental again. Not good

The order was placed online, while I was completing my rental info, the system repeatedly changed my date of pickup/return. I took time out to speak with Dollar Rental in person; they informed me that everything will be corrected on the day of my pickup; worst mistake, I was then informed that KAYAK was responsible for my mishaps and Dollar Rental is not held accountable.

Cars were all scratched and dented. One of them smelled of cigarette smoke. Finally got one that was ok enough to drive.
Very sketchy situation getting the car, they wanted me to add an unlimited mileage fee as I didn’t have a return flight and was in town for training., I already understood it was unlimited mileage and it clearly said so in my confirmation email, not from easyrent.. To me this is pretty much fraud.. Very strange facility, I was the only customer and it was a very small lot amongst many abandoned/shutdown businesses. Lots of flies, might’ve just been that day. They were helpful getting into a more fuel economic car though.

Location is not close to the airport. Agent tried to scam me and wanted to charge me for unlimited mileage saying that I am a local renter though i had a GA license. He incorrectly showed me some fine print policy and when i read through it closely, it did not apply to my situation. I asked the agent to cancel reservation I will never use that rental company again.

When we showed up, we were told there would be a separate daily fee which was not included when we made the reservation, even though the information we submitted was in alignment with what we submitted when we arrived. Also we made a reservation for a long-distance trip, then were told when we arrived they didn't have that class of car, and we'd either have to take a cheaper one (less comfortable long-distance) or an SUV (worse mileage).

Reserved a car and went to go pick it up and upon arrival we found out they had closed before actual closing hours. Talked with another person that was there at the same time and they mentioned thrifty had given out all their cars. I shouldn't have been able to reserve a car ahead of time if they're just going to give out all available vehicles.

Pick up was terrible, person at the desk was rude and short, just ready to get me out. Then for the car I 1st I walked all the way across the parking lot to the number I was told and there was no car there, then went back and waited in line again to get reassigned a car. The car I received was dirty but they said it’s okay I won’t be charged extra. Drop off was AMAZING, the drop off location had such a friendly and nice lady! She was helpful and just nice!
