Cons:There were hidden fees involved with this rental that were not listed when I made the reservation. I used a credit card that included rental insurance, but when I went to pick up the rental was told I had to use their expensive insurance.

Pros:Not much...
Cons:I was given much trouble about proving my credit card covered insurance. I will never rent from Dollar again because I go through the same thing every time. The rental is very expensive and I got an inferior car to what I had reserved. At first he tried to pass off to me this huge, clunky van that was Far bigger than what I have reserved; when I complained and asked for an intermediate size car they gave me a smaller car and charge me the same price. The overall experience was very negative and a waste of time and money. Disappointed.

Be careful when you return the car although you have purchased a fuel option when you can return the car empty. The agent (3rd party) will still try to charge fuel If you didn’t fill it up. Don’t t let that happen to you.

Pros:The car was new, low mileage, and comfortable.
Cons:When we arrived the rental car agent acted like they didn't have a record of our rental even though we had the confirmation number with us for her use. Then she said we were late. We'd requested our car for pickup at a 3:00 pm but our outbound flight was delayed by 1.5 hours. In the end, to get a car we were charged double the confirmed rental price. Ridiculous!

Pros:Pick-up in Frankfurt was good although the location was a little remote. The car was great and we got a good value for the rental price. But, please see my notes on the return and the insurance issue!.
Cons:The drop-off experience in Berlin was very unprofessional and tedious. The employee was matter-of-fact and unhelpful with the issue of wear-and-tear scratches on the car. Basically, the attitude was "It's your fault. You didn't take our insurance. We're going to charge you. Now, go away!" They charged my card an extra 749 Euro for three scratches!! Stay away from Hertz and Dollar in Germany!!

Cons:I accidentally rented from Dollar outside the airport. My plane was a little delayed and the office I rented from was closing fifteen minutes AFTER I reached the front of the line of the airport location. They were of no assistance whatsoever. I tried again multiple times the next morning and no one ever answered the phone although the office was open. I would never use Dollar again at this location.

Cons:By a mistake I've ordered the car and the pickup wasn't from the airport. I've asked Dollar in Frankfort airport to change the location and I'll pay for this change but he told me he cant do it with Dollar and the rental office in the city where I'm supposing to pickup the car is already closed. Interesting there is no customer support service for Kayak, shame. I'll consider my business with Kayak in the future!!

Pros:The car and service was fine.
Cons:When I called from the Frankfurt train station to find out where the Dollar counter was located, the person in Ireland told me to go to the Hertz counter at the train station. We waited almost 2 hours for that counter to open, only to be told that Dollar was not at that counter. Instead, we needed to take a cab for $7 to a different Hertz dealer. We asked for a map, and none was available. We didn't have Internet, or any idea of how to get around without a map. Thought that was a basic to be included with any rental.
