Pros:Overall a great deal for the price.

Cons:I had booked a pickup for 5:00 I arrived 5 till 5. The complete staff was inside but they said they are closing. I said I had an appointment for 5 they said they close at 5 and I should have scheduled it sooner. I said I dint know you closed at 5 and that you should not accept appointments for your closing time if you will not honor them. They said I should not have booked thew kayak or hotwire. They I should have booked with them direct. They pushed me out and left me stranded! I called thir customer support and spent 2 hours on the phone. They said I need to handle it with the local store even though they where gone. I had to get a cab to the airport to rent a car there and pay much more in taxes and fees. I am so furious that they would not honor thir agreement and treated me so rudely! If they dint like kayak and hotwire they should not do do business with them. If they dont want appointments after 430 then dont schedule them. But they should not take it out on the customer and leave people stranded becuse they hate thir job.

Cons:The rental car place was not located at the airport so we had to catch a cab to the off-site Dollar place ($30 cab far not including tip). The off-site rental location had minimal selection and even less people working there. When making reservations, I indicated that I needed the car until 8pm but the location closes at 5pm which I feel should have been a note at the very least that pops up to say that the reservation cannot end at 8pm. We ended up returning the car at 3pm to save on time since the car rental place said that they would not be able to bring us to the airport but could shuttle us to another location like back to our hotel as long as we arrived by 4pm. Seeing as how the location looked a little shady to begin with, we arrived a little before 3pm in order to return our car and get a shuttle well before the cut-off time. Of course the shuttle was gone but we were assured that it would return shortly. By about 3:30, we were getting frustrated and on the verge of calling a cab. The counter person kept trying to call the driver unsuccessfully when the shuttle FINALLY returned. If our flight was within an hour and a half, we would have for sure been rushing. Totally unacceptable for a car rental place.

Cons:We reserved a luxury car, but when we arrived, we were told they don't rent luxury cars from that location. There were only five smaller cars and 3 SUV's on the lot. The agent had the nerve to try to upsell me to a large SUV. I asked if he could get a luxury car from the airport (only a few miles away), and he said it was not possible. I then asked to be dropped off at another location, and he also declined my request, despite the fact that there was a shuttle van and driver sitting idle in the lot. I felt as if I was held hostage with no options. I ended up having to take a smaller, abused, midsized Hyundai with 33000 miles on it, with no key fob, and only one key. Will never use dollar or it's parent company Hertz ever again! THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD AT A CAR RENTAL AGENCY!!!
