I had to cancel my reservation because of Enterprise
Pros: nothing. I didnt rent a car.
Cons: Enterprise has a policy that you cannot have two rental cars out at once. I have an Enterprise rental car at my home, because I recently got into a car crash and I have an insurance-provided Enterprise. When I went on vacation, I assumed I could rent another Enterprise. It turns out they have a policy for only one car at a time, which they didnt detect when I booked the car, or when I called them to confirm my reservation 24 hours out. As a result, on vacation, I got to the Enterprise (which was not near any other car rental places) and found out I could not rent a car. I had to cancel my reservation and lost half a day of my vacation before getting a rental car somewhere else. This was a completely avoidable situation if Enterprise's IT system would have auto-detected this in advance. But beyond that - its just a stupid policy! Why wouldn't they want me to rent two cars, pay them MORE MONEY, and be a happy customer? I called Enterprise to complain, and talked to a customer service guy who said somebody from Corporate would call me to talk about my situation. 5 days later, nobody called. I'd still like that call.

Jeep for fun, in the Big Easy!
Pros: We hado a mid size SUV that was just perfect for us and my siblings who also came down to NOLA to celebrate with me.

First bad experience with Enterprise
Pros: Replacement car was far better than initial rental.
Cons: Car was described as an SUV but had less storage space than a compact car. Long wait to pick up car even though reservation had been made. Short office hours made contacting the office throughout my trip difficult. Car had mechanical problem requiring switching out at a random town in Texas during the middle of my trip. Now a damage claim has been filed against me for damage I never caused and am unsure where it came from. Drop off fees for one-way rental are usurious.

Make sure you set aside plenty of time to sit around and wait
Pros: The gentleman who picked and dropped us off was friendly and considerate.
Cons: Procedures took too long, impacting our ability to get where we needed to be. We almost missed our tour, the whole purpose behind renting a car to get out of the city, because of the delay. Drivers not readily available - we waited about 30 minutes past our pre-designed time to be picked up and waited about an hour after returning the car to be dropped off.
