I wasn’t able to rent a vehicle, so now I’ll need to go through the process of trying to get a refund from Kayak. The rental car desk said that I didn't have the proper documentation to be able to rent the car that I reserved and prepaid for. Hertz didn’t have a problem renting to me.Reviewed Jul 15 2024

The pick up experience was long because there were only two people checking in guests. The lady who managed the pick up experience was stellar. She was kind, effective and considerate of our needs. Drop off was easy as well. Thanks for a great trip!Reviewed Jul 13 2024

The pick up was challenging but it’s a result of construction that’s out of the hands of the company. However, I do wish they had advertised the issue once I booked the car so I could prepare. Otherwise, it was a really easy experience.Reviewed Jul 13 2024

In their online listing the agency claimed to be in the terminal at Toronto airport but in fact we had to find our way with poor signage to an airport train that took us to a shuttle pickup which in turn took us to the offsite agency location. The second problem arose at checkin when we were surprised to learn there was a $17 per day fee for a spouse to be a second driver. Both the off-site location and the second driver fee should have had prominent mention in the Expedia listing.Reviewed Jul 12 2024

Picking up the car took an hour and a half, and there was only 2 other groups ahead of us when we arrived. The process was painfully slow and the staff told me my automatic car wasn’t actually ready yet (even though by the time I was serviced it was 2 hours after I was supposed to pick it up) and that I would have to wait or they could offer me a manual car (that I can’t drive) for an hour and then make me return it and wait another 1.5 hours to get the car I booked. I got to Manchester UK a day later than planned, and when I went to pick up the car, was advised that my reservation was cancelled. I asked them to just take one day off the reservation, as I needed a vehicle and would return the vehicle on the original date described. They refused to do so, and advised that I would need to make a whole new booking and I would be treated as a 'walk in' I had no choice. I asked then for them to refund the payment I had made to Kayak, they advised that was not in their ability, that I would have to go back to Kayak to get the refund. I have tried to reach kayak, but you folks do not make contact you that easy. I would like someone to reply to this email and give me my money back. Thank youi Michael KamisReviewed Jul 10 2024

I booked a peugeot and got a Lancia. It was unwashed not clean inside and terrible to drive. My previous rental with enterprise they upgraded me and put me in a BMW 5 series. I should get a full refund.Reviewed Jul 10 2024

Europcar has many locations, one at the terminal buildings and one off site accessed by a shuttle service. The 2 do not match up. Firstly Kayak website clearly advertised the car as ‘terminal buildings’ when in actual fact after booking and paying and luckily checking my email says south centre road - the offsite location. Europcar (terminals) were terrible to deal with they just wanted me to hire a car twice as expensive. He also told me to call the shuttle ( which they are supposed to do I was told) so I called Europcar at Sth centre Rd. They were better to deal with overall and the shuttle was prompt and the sky park driver was lovely. Be aware before booking! If you were looking for a quick pickup at the terminal because it is NOT the case with Kayak.Reviewed Jul 10 2024

Pick up and the airport was great. Staff very friendly and helpful. We had more luggage than expected to had to size up. Car was dirty which made condition difficult to assess. Luckily I took photos as they went over it with a fine tooth comb at drop off. My son was a little sick in the car so they charged for cleaning. Fair enough but £135 felt like a lot for what was probably going to be 5 mins with bucket of hot water.Reviewed Jul 9 2024

Great vehicles at great prices, but their policies are not clearly stated to the point of being confusing to their own staff. During pickup two form of government IDs were required, and a physical credit card was required instead of a card on an electronic wallet. Neither of these two important policies are clearly expressed during the reservation of the vehicle and were found out only once at the counter. This caused aloud family a three hour delay in the middle of our vacation.Reviewed Jul 7 2024
