Room size and comfort Barking dogs.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast came in handy, and the kids loved the waffles. The hotel is pet friendly and allowed all sizes of pets. There was a dog that kept us up with it's barking. And another dog that jumped on my daughter when we entered the elevator.
The the place was nice and clean and really close to downtown and the university. Both within walking distance.
Location & cost. Really noisy one night. People partying til about 3am/4am.
Next to Hollywood Blvrd, clean rooms Too noisy
The location was in a nice spot. Like most motels along this strip, you are close to the mountains and down town. The sheets were very stiff both nights. The room felt damp and the towels were damp when we arrived. The floors have stains and the walls have unpainted drywall repair. The toilet leaked randomly and it just felt dirty overall.
Rooms were clean. Great value for your money. Nice and friendly staff. Nothing
The proximity to downtown was wonderful. The only reason I drove to hit the bars and restaurants in downtown Flagstaff was the temperature! (20 F the night I stayed.) Combined with the price and the cleanliness, your hotel was an excellent value.
Loved the wide assortment of complimentary tea! Also, the heater and A/C is strong. I slept in the bed farthest from the window and still felt nice and toasty. Beds are comfy and the bathroom is clean. Good restaurants in the area. No frills about this place, but definitely recommends for a night or two on your way to somewhere else.
I liked the central location in Flagstaff on the way to the Grand Canyon as a stopover.
open, comfortable enviorment. exit/entrance is bad for drivers to exit the motel.
Clean rooms Easy check-in Great location Great value for the money
Very clean and convienently located. Beds were comfortable. Very good value for the price. Would definitely recommend. TV remote didn't work. That's the only negative.
Cheap Needs a lot of work
Nothing Poor accommodations, including no phone in room, no desk or chair to work at, dark colors in room. Nothing like the pictures used to advertise the facility. Fire safety hazards such as one outlet have a three-way strip plugged in, and a power strip connected to that power strip that in turn powered the fridge, microwave, coffee pot and a light, really surprised the fire department hasn't fined them or shut them down. And the walls are paper thin, heard everything going on in the adjacent room, every single moan. Not sure if the L stands for "low budget" or just "love". Sure, the price was low, but it still was too much.
We wanted something inexpensive and that's what we got. Everything was clean and there was a large tv. We would stay there again. It was definitely an older motel. There was an old vent with chipping paint my toddler would not leave it alone. There was a carpet "base board" it was not attached to the wall completely near the vent and sharp staples were exposed. This wouldn't normally have bothered me but with a one year old we were constantly having to keep him out of trouble. The bathroom door didn't shut properly but as a family sharing a room it didn't cause an issue.
Cozy, quaint and not too shabby for the price. I honestly didn't mind that it was older and smaller than other nicer motels. It was clean and kept me warm during the night. When you're on a budget, that's all you ask for, right?
Staff Heater noise
Absolutely filthy. Noises, drunk college kids everywhere and drug deals going on in the parking lot.
This was a great place for the last minute we needed after a long day of snowboarding at snowbowl, the rooms are decently clean great space the heaters work wonders and the accommodations extra room flat screen tv's breakfast wifi and quite. Thanks for the stay!
The room was clean and the staff were friendly. Small room/bathroom, lumpy pillows, no DVD player, dated decor
Booked a non-smoking room, walked in the room and discovered that i was given a smoking room. Went to the front and (Alex) apologized and was very accommodating! Hooked me up with a non-smoking room! ... Not the Hilton or any 5 diamond resort, but definitely better service and better building upkeep than the other 'budget' motels within 3/4 - 1 mile of this location (temporarily living/extended stays while relocating out of state, so I've been 'trying out' all the motels within walking distance to NAU/work)... The L motel and the Ho-Jo Inn a few blocks down have the best customer service and... All the local 'budget' motels in the area require filling out the same 'generic' post card at check in (no business name, driver license into, etc.. all identical... Etc..... Very sketchy! Identity theft? Who's running a scheme?
Carpet was peeling, toilet took about 4 flushes to get anything down, shower knob might as well have been a safe tumblr, had like 5 off positions and I ended up burning myself multiple times with scalding hot water. But at least we had hot water unlike the other rooms. Sink wouldn't drain, bed left my back sore, pillows were hard ad a rock. Found empty liqour bottles behind the bed. Only one roll of toilet paper and one bath towel even though I reserved a room for two adults. The RFID keys they gave us were real finicky. All the door frames were warped, couldn't Latch the bathroom door. Had vagrants approaching me for change when I was sitting outside my room. I've had better living accommodations in Afghanistan.
I liked the low price, convenient location to restaurants and shops, friendly staff, free parking, clean rooms and working amenities (Wifi, heater, TV, clock). I stayed in a lot of inexpensive motels on my holiday road trip, and this was far and away the best one. It was also the least expensive. They only had decaff coffee for the pot in the room. That probably isn't the norm, though.
It was cheap. I'm pretty sure a stain on the bath mat looked like feces and the shower didn't really work (the tab was impossible to pull up and so only a little water would come through). The room smelled as though it may have been a smoking room though it said non smoking. Our reservation stated queen and we had two fulls. Overall though I didn't expect more for the price, got a good nights sleep and moved on with our trip.
the pricing and location of this hotel were very reasoanble. the staff was very cold and unfriendly
It was cheap rates. But this hotel needs lots of physical work in the rooms, maintained on the fair side but definitely an older hotel. holes in walls, cracks in bathroom, although new tile in bathroom/shower. It was clean enough for a one night sleep and shower.
Fridge, TV, bed, heater and plumbing all worked. Room was cleaned OK. Free mini donuts and mediocre coffee in the morning. It was fine, nothing weird. Bits on mildew in the bathroom window could use a good scrub.
The price was good. It's close to downtown Flagstaff I didn't feel so safe in this room..the windows were very close to the road and very very thin also. The staff members were careless.
The proximity to downtown. Decent value during on-season. It's a beatmeal, bare bones situation. The continental "bread-fest" is a bit of a bummer. The outlets are old and have a difficult time keeping hold of whatever is plugged into them. Pray that you're not showering at the same time as any of your neighbors, burrrrr!
The location was great. Breakfast is not worth showing up for but you can walk to The Place for that. Phones don't work. Small but clean. Good for one person.
The owners were very nice and know about the area. The room was very basic, but adequate and clean. Beds were comfortable. They could certainly improve their breakfast. And it would be nice if shampoo would be provided. Almost all motels do now and so I didn't take any.
Friendly and helpfull staff, clean descent rooms, well located between Sedona and the grand canyon
Nothing. This place is the worst. Let me explain. I'm not a fussy traveler. I like cheap motels because I'd rather spend my travel money in the adventure outside... But this motel was terrible. The worst. The sheets were dirty. When I turned down the covers there were hairs on the sheets. The bathtub had dirty washcloths in it. I would have turned around and payed for another motel except my daughter was sick in the car and needed a place to puke into a toilet- so we stayed the night. But that is the only circumstance that would have kept me in that place. Terrible. Horrible. Dirty.
I wanted to stay somewhere in historic flagstaff near my favorite restaurants. I was surprised to find a place that was in this location that was so inexpensive. I arrived super late and I checked in and it was perfect for what I needed for the night.
I liked that it was the cheapest in town, that it was clean and quiet most definitely and that it was centrally located! A little old, and had an odd smell. Not a bad one, but odd. One that you got used to though.
The hotel i ideally located within the centre of flagstaff within easy reach of shops and restaurants. The room was also clean and comfortable. The hotel management were a little unhelpful.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good price. Quiet, no noise. Far enough away from the train whistle, so that it could not be heard.
Canyon Inn Flagstaff is located at a rather convenient location with hotels all around the area. It will be great if you are driving, but it may be difficult to get around without a car. The rooms are spacious and it is excellent value for money. I wouldn't mind going back there to stay. Wifi signal is quite weak though. Wifi signal wasn't very strong. Only soap bars provided.
I liked the refrigerator in the room. The beds were uncomfomicrowave and the microwave didn't work.
Wireless free internet was available and hotel staff allowed me to stay in their office until my train departure time.
extremly noisy, next to highway, rooms looks dirty, dirty towels and sheets.
