It was nice to get an upgrade without having to pay for it.Cons:
The car smelled a little weird and I had to drive with the windows open for a couple of hours to air it out. The seats could use a deep clean. They are tan and fabric, so they showed wear. Also the car was a bit bigger than I could handle and it was a gas guzzler unfortunately.Avis

The first car was extremely dirty and the interior smell of cigarette. I've asked the attendant to change cars. I got another one that was dirt in the outside but at least didn't smell. The attendant at the checkin had an attitude that can not be compared with the other AVIS The person at checkout was great.Budget

The drop off location at TF Green airport is very confusing. Not budgets fault though.Cons:
I was 37 minute late and they tried to charge me $109 in late fees. I argued it down to 28 dollars, but the additional charge - almost a full day's fee! - was completely ridiculous.4.0 Mediocre

Even though the budget guy said I had the option of dropping off the car after hours (if I were a day early) when I arrived the place was locked up like fort knox and I had to make an additional 3 hour round trip to bring the car back *during my work day.* This was extremely frustrating and the fact that it was avoidable given proper signage or instruction, made it downright maddening.Hertz

The drop-off was a pure nightmare - we arrived in the evening but the office was closed and there was no possibility to drop the key. We tried again at 7am in the morning but the office opened at 8am and we had to wait for outside in the cold. Nobody informed us about this hassle.Cons:
When I picked up the car, I informed staff that we might be late this day and the person at the desk said that we can keep the return date FOR NOW. When I returned it indeed later, I did not only pay for 1 more day but also had to pay US$ 12 for delayed return and nobody alerted me about this.6.0 Okay

The car was way too expensive. They jacked up the prices because I dropped it off in a different state-however the car was originally from New York! They just jacked up the prices because they could! Would not recommend if you can go with another company.10.0 Wonderful
