Cons: The initial car I got had multiple dashboard lights on, and the spedometer didn't work. In order to get a new car, I had to drive all the way back to the airport.

Offered reservation; refused to supply a car
Cons: I made an off-airport reservation at a midtown Atlanta location. Then, 30 min, later received a call from that location saying---"Don't come, we don't have cars." (And would not have cars the following day, either.) If you know you won't have cars at a location, don't take reservations for cars at that location!

Pros: We appreciated the lady at the checkout gate. She informed us the girls at the counter had sent us to the wrong car. So she had us drive back in and get the correct one.
Cons: I paid in full online. When we got to counter we were told we had to use a different credit card that had my husbands name on it not mine. Which I had paid with mine but put the driver as him. We did not get the insurance coverage we expected between online and at counter. They gave us the wrong car to start with and we had to unpack one and repack the 2nd car. In returning the car, the attendants did not even check to make sure everything was ok with the car. So we took pictures to make sure they wouldn't charge us for any damages that didn't happen

Cons: They cancelled the rental at the last minute since they didn't have any cars. Attempts to resolve the situation with both the rental location and Hertz customer service did not receive a response. I was attempting to visit a serially ill relative and was stranded without a car! Please have some one in your organization contact me to discuss this problem. Pros: The price you couldn't beat. They were honest & didn't charge me for unnecessary fees. I have never gone through Hertz before, but I will be revisiting in the future with my travels! Pick up & drop off was easy. Car was clean & didn't smell like smoke. Over all no complaints!!

scam on insurance
Cons: make sure you read the contract, I specifically did not want insurance, and told them i had no need for it, ( even filled out online account that i did not want insurance, and Magically they tacked it onto my bill.) when i went to check out they had a bill for me that was $160 dollars ontop of what i paid through Kayak. ( mind you I only had the car for about 30 hours)

Pros: I was able to choose any car my choice.
Cons: I returned the car on 3/4 tank of gas when it should have been full. It was very disturbing when they wanted to charged 9.99 a gallon for the full tank. I thought it was too much over the top.

First four vehicles has caution lights illuminated
Cons: 1st car LOW TIRE PRESS illuminated 2nd car LOW RADIATOR FLUID illuminated 3rd car tire side wall damage 4th car LOW TIRE PRESS illuminated 5th car operated fine for my trip

Pros: Easy service to pick up the car. The customer representative was very nice and courteous to us at the counter. She answered all questions appropriately, had a nice big smile on her face, and wished us a happy and safe trip with the car. The car we got was a Jetta and it was really clean and smelled great! Like a brand new car. Dropping off the car was easy and we had no difficulty. Great rental company. So glad I chose Hertz

This was my first time ever renting a car
Pros: Picking out a basic car and service through kayak was definitely straightforward and simple, which is all I really want.
Cons: There was some confusion about getting insurance through kayak instead of Hertz, so I had to sign that I wasn't insuring the car, though I had through kayak.

poor customer service at Atlanta airport location
Pros: ok price but poor customer service
Cons: 40 minutes waiting for car while the 3 reps chatted/gossiped with no one in front of me in line. At minute 30 plus, I made a fuss and they said they would find someone else to help and continued chatting. Car was extremely dirty on inside but was only a 1 day rental so not much impact.

Pros: I was called at 4:45pm when I was supposed to pick up the car the next morning at 9am to be told that the car I had reserved was not available for me. The rep was very helpful and tried everything she could to get something comparable. My experience was not the best, however, the representatives who assisted in finding a solution was great!!! I'm very disappointed that the reservation was mixed up and the 800 number I called would not help, I didn't get the rep's name but she didn't want to take responsibility for the error. I've rented with Hertz and would like to continue renting in the future.

Took forever to get rental. Also car was not what
Cons: The fact that the car was not what we reserved because they gave our reservation car to someone else and it took about 25 minutes to finalize everything.

Pros: got the hyundai sonata... great car.. although the tire pressures were very low and the car didn't come with any floor mats. Loved the car but the taxes were really high... the rental cost was only $15/day but overall the charges ended up around $85/day which is on the expensive side for me.

Smelled like smoke
Cons: Pressured at front desk to get a Tesla in lieu of my requested car and agent seemed bent on upselling me despite numerous requests for my normal car; my car then reeled of cigarettes; cruise control did not operate correctly; and drop off personnel were unavailable upon my return. I was told that I would be emailed a final receipt that never arrived.

Cons: We were charged to our credit card a reasonable daily rate and we added $18 per day for Alliance Insurance . When my son got there he was charged an extra fee of $30 as he is 23 ... NOTHING ON YOUR WEBPAGE ABOUT ADDITIONAL FEE FOR UNDERAGE . We get that so that's not the problem . Once our son returned the car he was charged an additional fee of $254 and do not know why . NO ONE recommended that my son who is first time car renter should probably fill up the car w gas PRIOR to drop off so that he wouldn't be charged the crazy gas fee ! I have rented cars many times and upon pick up they always tell the truth about being sure to fill it up myself so as to avoid the ridiculous fee !! We tried to call over the weekend and no one to talk to other than business hours . We will be calling ASAP !!

Car was fine but most inefficient pickup system ev
Pros: Car was fine-though i had been told i would get a "Toyota Corolla or similar" and i got a Chevy which wasn't too similar to a Corolla in my book. Price was good.
Cons: The line to pickup the car was huge. So i went over to the kiosk,which involved a long complicated process of picking up the phone and talking to a guy and then waiting for a live person to approve your credit card and license and the whole thing still took more than 15 minutes even at a computer kiosk. The return was more chaotic than most other car companies i've used, but not nearly as bad as the pickup. I would not use Hertz in the Atlanta airport again.

Good not great
Pros: The desk staff was very friendly and pickup and drop off was fast and easy.
Cons: The car was crappy. I guess that's not really Hertz's fault bc it was clean, it was just a bad car in general.

Cons: Long wait in line to get car. No one to receive car. I don't know why I thought there was something different or better about Hertz. There isn't. Will just go with cheapest.

Never renting from Hertz again
Cons: Nobody from Hertz was there to rent me the car I booked. The hotel front desk tried to help, but there was only so much they could do. Corporate customer service was unhelpful, too. The other nearby Hertz location was also terrible. Read these Yelp reviews about the Hertz located in Atlanta at the Omni Hotel at 100 CNN Center. Pick up times wrong
Pros: Car was nice/new but a little dirty.
Cons: When I showed up to get the car at the location and time specified a paper sign directed me to another location down the street. When arriving there the door said it opened at 730 even though my rental was scheduled for pick up at 7. No one showed up ton open the shop til 8, claiming they don't open till 8am. Employee couldn't get me a car until someone turned one in because he didn't have the combination to the safe. The car I was given wasn't cleaned because of this problem. Long story short the pick up time, drop off time,and pick up location given to me were wrong.

Phone charger did not work at either point
Cons: I was traveling from California. I wasn't able to keep my phone charged very inconvenient since the car had no GPS system and I needed to rely on my phone....

No car available when I got there
Pros: I liked the price
Cons: I didn't like that the next day - as I was about to arrive at Hertz - they called and said that no car was available. The receptionist called other Hertz places and non of them had cars available.Yet I searched on the site again and it showed a lot of cars were available. FALSE ADVERTISING. Obviously there is a problem with your website - TRAVELERS - don't trust it. I was stuck without a way to get back.

I keep coming back for the service.
Pros: This time it was Coolidge, but each time the service is exceptional. If you ever rent from CNN Hertz ask for him.

Pros: Free upgrade and no wait in line with the new teller kiosks in place.
Cons: I found it bit pricey for the car to be picked up from one location and dropped to other location. It was almost 4 times on the price of pick and drop at same location.

Price of the rental doubled at check out.
Pros: The car was fine.
Cons: The price fouled at check. I was trying to be budget consciencouis and in the end the rental car for one day cost over $300. I was late on return which indontneven rememver discussing the return time and they charged me for another full day. And it was already an expensive rental because I was dropping off in a different location. They included that cost in the 2nd says price as well. Crazy expensive for have this little car for just over 24 hrs. I certainly will never rent from hertz again. Also the car smelled.
