Pros: We booked our car several weeks before our trip. When we were shuttled to the rental car pick up we ended up at the airport location and not the downtown location where we booked the car. The person at Hertz did not bat an eye and processed our car and we were on the road in under five minutes. The car was bigger that what I was expecting and new. it was a great car and served us well during the week we spent in N. Carolina. When we returned the car we were done with the paperwork in under five minutes and on our way to the terminal to catch our flight. Hertz was a great experience.

GMC Yukon XL
Pros: Great Technology, superior handling, very spacious with room for 6 adults, luggage and beach items for a weeks vacation. Unlimited miles and used 3rd party insurance thru Allianze for very reasonable coverage rate versus using Hertz insurance which is more expensive.
Cons: At vehicle start had to clear "Front Camera Service Message" everytime, 1 tire lost enough air to create a warning message, was easily fixed by adding air with no further problems.

Drop Off Complications
Pros: The assistant who rented us the vehicle was very helpful. And even had to upgrade us to a bigger car because they didn't have what we requested.
Cons: When we came to return our car, the office was closed, though we arrived a bit before our return time. They should not offer returns at the time they did for the specific downtown location if no one would be there to help us (no key drop either). So we spent 30 minutes on the phone with customer service to get it all sorted out. Hopefully we won't come out paying the extra days fees until they reopen on Monday.

Pros: Very easy and quick for both pick up and drop off of the car Very clean and car ran well
Cons: Still waiting for my online receipt so don't know if any extra charges were added; if receipt confirms no "surprises" it will have been a very good experience
