Cons: Agent by the name of Niyeirah lacked any customer service quality and we were sent to another agent for service. If you are interested in Client retention and a positive customer experience, Niyeirah is the wrong person to achieve these objectives. The vehicle we rented was not clean in interior. Numerous papers, wrappers in doors and floor around back seats have spills, which I had cleaned up at my local car wash.Had we had time for alternative rental, I would have taken it.

Good car, good customer service, badly managed office
Pros: Kia Soul was comfortable and clean. Associate who helped me was friendly and professional.
Cons: Office was old, needed paint, and short-staffed. Also hours listed as available for drop-off were not when the office was open, making me afraid I would get charged an extra day.
Cons: When I arrived to pick up the vehicle, I found that it was filthy. Obviously, it was not cleaned after the rental before. When I questioned this, I was told that "the cleaner" was not in yet, but that I could wait for his arrival and they would have him clean it up. Obviously, I reserved the car for 9 am pickup for a reason, and was not prepared to wait. I had to take it through a car wash myself, as I was embarrassed to be seen driving it. Upon return, I pointed out to the agent that a piece of cowling has broken loose during the drive, and had become completely dislodged. The attendant informed me that I would have to pay for the repair since the car was "in my possession" at the time the obviously faulty piece came off. I objected strongly. He eventually backed down from his stance when I told him I wanted the name of the person I contact at Hertz corporate about this. I will have to be extremely desperate before I agree to another rental from Hertz.
Ripped off despite discussion prior to rental
Cons: The rate class for my rental changed because I returned the car to a different location. This was despite the assurance provided by hertz that change in return location only results in a nominal transportation charge Is good that hertz does not have a monopoly.. Gives me other options for my next car rental

Cons: Pick up was HORRIBLE, I was told that the kind of vehicle I wanted wasn't available? So then give me a free upgrade since it's not my fault? NO I had to go back and forth to tell him that I was not paying any extra since they didn't have the required vehicle I originally reserved and paid for already. I was told I will have to wait until he can "find" another car at another location.....Seriously??? I was on borrowed time but told him he is going to have to talk to someone about this issue. I threatened to cancel only to be told that I would be charged a $100 cancellation fee....Still no offer of any type! Then as no one else came or left a car was available for me to have all of the sudden? I had to wait another 10 mins for him to get that car ready.....Doesn't seem like much but after the initial complication anything was too long! Then was asked to write a good review as he sat there and waited, I played like I was submitting it but didnt....I haven't even returned the car back yet? After returning the car the same individual asked how everything was and I just waited patiently so I can be done with this ordeal! He once again stated that I should give him a positive review since he gave me a free upgrade!! Are you freaking kidding me??? I WILL NEVER RENT A VEHICLE FROM HERTZ AGAIN!!!! BUYERS BEWARE the service reps are required to push an upgrade which I understand but don't shove it down my throat and not give me any other options except to wait until you give in!!
Bad customer service
Cons: I had to wait more one hour to get my car eventhough I had an appointment. After I have done with all the office procedures they took the car for cleaning and vacuuming!!

Cons: the carpet on the floor they have to be well staffed was put on hold numerous times they allowed me to rent a car with a sunday drop off when they are close on Sundays that glitch has to be fixed so people are not charged extra when it is clearly not their fault and the agent on duty just said you should have booked thru our website which will not have allowed you to pick a sunday drop off; you choose a third such as kayak you will have deal with them for any refund
Pros: The car was nice
Cons: The pickup location is trying to charge me for an extra date that was outside of my contracted arranged time with KAYAK. Additionally KAYAK's insurance that I purchased did not provide sufficient coverage and I had to purchase the Hertz insurance. Will not use KAYAK again and will discourage others from using your service if the location charges me.
