Checked in online the day prior to pickup. Was then asked to check in again on my way to get the car. Went to the rental counter to check in. Gave my license to the counter employee and then after several awkward minutes of no communication from the employee I asked if everything was in order. “I can’t check you in because there are no cars ready”. I then asked how long my wait would be the answer was “I have no idea”. Fortunately the car was ready in about 10 minutes. I found the car and noticed the windshield was dirty and the smell of the cleaner they use was so potent that it gave me a headache on my 16 hour drive. Long story short the car wasn’t ready, the check in employee was borderline rude and the car smell was terrible. Other than that it was great!

Hertz did not have a car when I arrived at the start time of my reservation, and said it could be one or several hours before one showed up. I rented a car from a different agency instead. It then took 4 phone calls and 2 hours to get a refund. 0/10 experience.

After doing the paperwork at the indoor counter, I was told to go outside to the pickup area and told to take any SUV in a specific area. There was no one out there to assist me. I had to take the time to read the Nissan Rogue manual to understand how to use the various options especially the GPS mapping and after connecting my cell phone be Bluetooth, I could not get the mapping to display. I had to drive to my location holding my cell phone to view the map. It was the next day that I found out that I needed a cable connection to view the mapping. I am very disappointed with that type of SUV and will never buy one nor will I use Hertz again. At my return drop off there was no one there to scan the SUV back in. I did as others and left the SUV in the line with the FOB to get into the airport terminal on time. EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE !

I just received an overdue notice from Hertz Overdue department. Is this because I used Kayak instead of booking directly with HERTZ?

The address for Hertz was inaccurately listed on momondo website, resulting in 2 uber rides to pick up. They gave us an electric car for managers special and then charged us to switch to gas car. Frustrating.

Ease of rental and no waiting time.

Charged extra fees and "mandatory" insurance which doubled the cost of the rental as we had booked it. They did not accept our own insurance even though it should have been accepted. Plus the car was smaller than we wanted and had questionable breaks. Never renting with them again.
