When we arrived, the extra fees and insurance were way more than the offer we had booked. There was a significant 50% increase, and we had to purchase an additional insurance policy for the car, which cost about $200 more. If we had chosen not to buy the insurance, we would have had to leave a large deposit of approximately $4,000. So, it’s important to be prepared to pay the extra insurance for the car and to have a deposit hold. Although it took some time to reach an agreement, the vehicle was brand new and drove great.

The pick up was super smooth and easy and gave me a free upgrade... But the drop off was horrible - they tried to scam me by saying I damaged the car, then marked bird poo as a scratch. I lucky recorded before and after photos to show them nothing was wrong, and they took off all the fake damage money out. Its a fight but worked out in the end

They over charged me and there’s nearly no way to fix it. So many hidden charges!

My contract stated my drop off would be March 26 at 6:30 PM. I arrived 2 days early and paid $151 extra for the early rental, specifically asking twice if that was all the cost. A couple days later I sat down to read my Hertz contract and it said the drop off now was changed to March 25 at 2:30 PM. After waiting on hold for a half hour I reached a live person and telling her the issue she actually laughed and said.. no, you need to drop it off on the 25th. I told her my original contract states the 26th but that didn’t matter so I had to pay extra. They emailed me a new receipt and they had changed the drop off to 2:30 not 6:30! I called again and waited and waited. After over 45 minutes I gave up and just extended it AGAIN! I paid in good faith for a rental through March. 26 at 6:30 but instead never got what was agreed upon. Horrible customer service, Horrible experience.
