Cons:There are 3 locations in Reno. We did not this and while booking we discovered that the site we chose was not at the airport. Had to use UBER to drive from the airport a short distance to get the car. Would be helpful to place on your ads and booking websites.
When I picked up my car from Reno, I was helped out by the operations manager. I did not get her name, but she went above and beyond in helping me. When I rented my car, I made the mistake of picking it up from Vassar instead of Reno-Tahoe international airport. When I approached the counter to pick up my car, she noticed that I did not have a rental scheduled to be picked up at the airport. Once I explained to her that I was with my wife and baby, she was willing to give me a ride to pick up my rental from Vassar and get me on the road. Once I picked up my car from the different Hertz location, I returned back to the airport. Thankfully, she was still at the Hertz counter and I requested to drop the car at the airport instead of the Vassar location. She went above and beyond again to assist me, and was able to drop the car off at the airport without any issues. I will be coming back to Hertz in the near future to get awesome customer service and for decently priced rentals!
The Branch Manager had very poor customer service skills. There was a miscommunication on insurance coverage, he did not want to help me resolve the problem. I asked him to call the corporate office together so we could find a resolution and he refused to do that. When I insisted we make that call, he threatened to call the police if I did not leave the office immediately. I have never experienced this poor level of service in a car rental office. I expected better from Hertz, and maybe it is a need for customer service training for that particular manager, but it is a poor reflection on a good company.
Cons:I unaware I was reserving at an off-airport site, so there was a transfer charge to pick up the car. Maybe there was a clear note stating this, but if not, that would be helpful
Cons:Upon picking up my rental from the canyon country, CA location- I was informed my rental had not been cleaned and was offered a car wash voucher to take care of it myself. I declined; seeing j was simply renting the car to get back home in the Lake Tahoe area. Driving the vehicle- no problems, didn't eat or drink in the car and am not a smoker. I simply wanted to get home. I returned the vehicle to the Harrahs casino location, left the keys in the drop box and called the original canyon country location to confirm I had dropped the keys properly (I did not feel comfortable simply leaving car/keys without checking out with the attendant). The following day my bank acct states I had been over charged by hertz- I contacted customer care and told them the situation and she informed me I had been charged for cleaning- I immediately contact the canyon country location and asked them to contact the harrshs casino location to confirm with them that I was not responsible for the unkept nature of the car- I had picked it up in canyon country with no cleaning been done prior to me renting the car. The gentlemen (Sam) at the canyon country office has attempted to contact the harrshs location for two days, along with myself trying to contact them- they are not answering any phone lines. I will continue to attempt to resolve this- and I will never rent from hertz again- seeing How impossible this whole situation has become. How unprofessional the harrshs casino location has been is something I've never experienced with any business. Please resolve this issue. I'm exhausted attempting to fix your companies lack of communication between branches
Pros:Ease of checking in and pickup of car.
Cons:Price for a rogue Nissan seemed high.
Pros:They were very flexible with flight cancellations but do NOT USE SOUTHWEST HOTELS - they were not
Cons:The staff helping was very apathetic to find me a car. There was a small compact like I had reserved but it needed to be cleaned and they basically said they didn't feel like doing it. I ended up with a cargo van? I was then overcharged for a day due to the fact they aren't open on Sunday. I was then charged a cleaning fee for my rental which was returned very clean which I find funny since in the beginning they gave me the left overs so they didn't have to clean.
Pros:Ease of car pick-up once on site
Cons:Amount of bus transfer off-site at LGA to get to Hertz terminal
Pros:The vehicle was O.K., not what i was expecting.
Cons:Did not like that we could not pick up at the airport but had to wait 1hr for Harries bus. After waiting another hour for the Hertz person to show up she turned showed no people skills.
