Cons: The hidden fees. When quoted a price with enterprise that's wha it us. Unbelievably cost for extra drivers.

Cons: There are 3 locations in Reno. We did not this and while booking we discovered that the site we chose was not at the airport. Had to use UBER to drive from the airport a short distance to get the car. Would be helpful to place on your ads and booking websites.

Pros: Finally worked with me to cancel my reservation.
Cons: Said I couldn't cancel, even though I was told I could on Kayak. Had to fight to get a cancellation. My work cancelled a trip on me. So i had to cancel. Just a whole bunch of damn cancelling and I couldn't even get my 50 bucks back or an offer for a future car. What a grand old american scheme.

Cons: The fact that the hertz location was closed at the time I was supposed to pick up my car. Note: I had previously called that specific hertz location prior to booking the car and the representative confirmed my specific travel plans. Kayak customer service was also unavailable.

Pros: terrible ! no car was there. I was told I would have to wait 1 to 3 hrs. for a vehicle. no apology or further offer given. Will never use hertz again !! they Stink !!!

I did not Rent-A-Car
Pros: I did not Rent-A-Car. I was looking to rent a car and I never did. Nation email saying I did, please make sure any money is refunded.

Worst Travel Experience of my Life
Cons: Everything. I showed up at Reno airport to be told that the car was a mile down the road and they offered no transport so I paid for a cab to get there. Upon reaching the car location, I was informed there were no cars available. I was 7th on the waiting list, even though I had a reservation. The likelihood of 7 cars coming back that day was very slim. I was provided zero alternatives and basically told that I should find my own way because I was stranded. I was told they tried to call me, but obviously I was on planes flying all day and received no call. I had no email or voicemail to give me any sort of warning of what was happening. I traveled across the country relying on the reservation and confirmation from a 'respected' company. I understand that companies make mistakes, but what makes this worse is that it is their common practice. They commonly oversell their inventory leaving people with paid reservations left with no options other than to pay an inflated price to get a same day on-site rental elsewhere. At least when airlines oversell and get called on it, they offer free flights and travel credit, with alternative flight suggestions. Absolutely terrible all around.

Worst car rental experience ever
Cons: Tried to rent car for two days for ski trip, when arrived at rental car place no cars available, ruined first day of trip, they said maybe one available later that day, 4 hours later absolutely nothing, when I reached out they said can't fulfill prepaid reservation and suggested I rent elsewhere, ended up wasting a whole day dealing with this and then renting from enterprise last minute for over twice the price. Absolutely worst customer service and experience I ever had with a car rental. Will never ever again try to rent from them.

Pros: Close to airport. They gave us a ride back to the airport.
Cons: If you rent a car in a snow environment, they should have a snow tire options.

Cons: The rental ended up being offsite from the airport and there was no shuttle to transport you there. The car we received was supposedly an upgrade but was small and cramped for a family of 4 with two small children.

Cons: the outrageous price of gas for forgetting to fill it up, $$$ 9.99 gallon?!?! gimme a break this isn't Europe and thats not a liter. Hertz won't be on my radar in the future, the price is abusive, rude, and borderline scam. You should be ashamed, but I know you (corp exec.) will never read this. Customer service rep, you're ok, don't be sad. Also, the car stunk, had stains all over (coffee or pooh, note sure) and the car should be retired, I think you have extracted enough value from it.

They didn't honor my reservation made two months i
Cons: They called me 2 hours before my plane left that the truck I had reserved two months prior was not available. Then once I got to the Hertz location they tried to charge me more for a compact car! Most likely scenario?: they gave my truck away to another customer for more money before I arrived. Managers were not helpful (Jasmine - Asst Manager did nothing to improve the situation, Mr. Jasmine - Manager was suddenly not available).

Reps probably shouldn't give too much "advice"
Pros: Although the representatives we spoke to steered us completely wrong on which car to rent in snow, the rep could tell I was frustrated and upset and provided us with a new Infinity which was a nice ride for the weekend.
Cons: We called twice to confirm with 2 representatives that ALL tires were safe driving in snow and both reps confirmed that they were "weather proof" tires and not recommended to put chains on them. Because of that we chose to go with a smaller car instead of the SUV which would save us $70. But when we got there the front desk said she strongly advised the SUV in the snow which ended up costing us an additional $80 on top of the $70 we didn't end up saving at all. It would have been nice of Hertz to honor the original $150 rate since clearly their reps have very conflicting information.

Cons: Why isn't the opening/closing time of an establishment noted in the rental? I had to rent from another office.

No Car Available When We Arrived.
Pros: It doesn't seem that the Kayak system communicates or is update often with the rental car companies system. We arrived at the rental car companies office to pick up the car and they said they had no cars and hadn't for 2 days. However, the Kayak system still allowed us to make the reservation.

No car available
Cons: On vacation and decided to rent a car to get around for a couple days. Booked through kayak and walked over a half an hour to the car rental place. They did not have the inventory for us and told us they have been attempting to let kayak know all day. Very disappointing service on part of kayak.

Cons: Then the guy at the Reno drop off asked was this scuff on the rear bumper there when up picked up the car? I said really? I picked up the car the day before and drove 7 hours and parked it in my drive way with no other vehicles anywhere and then drove it to the drop off the very next day...we didn't even use the back where luggage would go and poosibly scuff the bumper? Scuffs they were all over the rear where people drag their luggage across the top of the back bumper. For almost $400.00 for a one dau rental you would think they would just say eveything looks fine....because I basically MADE A MONTHS car payment for them on that one?

Will never rent from a Hertz again
Cons: Service was horrible. Asked for a walk through of the car, the associate points through the window and says 'its that car and no its fine'. Asked for a different car and he states no other cars available. Car sounded horrible thought it was going to break down, rented the car with no washer fluid in the middle of winter. Called to try and change drop off to another place a mile away and they guy was rude and stated he would charge me $45. At drop off I asked for a receipt, women states all 3 printers are broke, asked for her to email me receipt which she states she will but I of course never receive. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!

Pros: Quick pickup
Cons: Only thing that was annoying: when we came back into the airport to return the keys I was told I had to go back out to the parking garage, Move the vehicle to a specific spot, record the mileage on the contract and bring it back in. Not sure why they don't handle it.

Cons: I rented a van, when arriving they said there was a "glitch" and they don't have vans, nor could they get one from the Hertz at the airport. Oh, and when I rented the car I wasn't told it was at a location that wasn't at the airport, but an off site location (there is also a Hertz at the airport.)

Car was great. Directions were poor
Pros: Nice car. Clean and well maintained.
Cons: Map for return location was misleading and help phone number was closed. Bill for rental was three times estimate. Had to spend extra time to resolve which forced us to hurry through security.

Pros: The only thing I did not like was the hard sell on the insurance, I already am fully covered by my insurance but they just don't let up, then the rep showed me some tiny dots on the windscreen and she said she had noted them, but if I came back with any increase in these tiny dots, I would get charged $20.00 for each dot! Scary!
