Cons:3 hour wait to pick up car in Catania !!!! Did not have car we reserved . Car they have us broke down 5 minutes from airport
Pros:Prepaid for this car with a hertz voucher. off course, rental counter gave me a hard time about it and tried to switch me to a lower car than was rented. After long argument they relented but then despite my showing them proof of insurance and declining additional insurance, they manipulated what I signed to say I requested insurance. In short, I was charged more by local company (extra charges after the rental I prepaid) than what the actual rental was.
Cons:The service by the Hertz people at the counter - awful
Pros:Not much. The car was serviceable.
Cons:There were hidden fees and pushy service people who were insisting we had to pay over 100€ in an insurance "deposit and administration fee". We will be flagging with our credit card company.
Check in went well and was easy. The car I was given had a number of dents and scratches. When I spoke to the agent, he assured me that all the damage was noted on the contract that was handed to me. Despite this, I took pictures and a video of the car at pick up. Unfortunately, because of an early flight, we had to use the key drop box and were not able to return the car to a live agent (so that we could confirm there was no new damage). Again, I took pictures and a video of the car just in case. A couple of hours after dropping off the car, I received an e-mail telling me there was new damage for which I would be charged. The picture they sent shows damage that is not there in my pictures or video. We decided to go with Hertz because we thought it was a reputable company. However, we were left disappointed. Now, we have to spend our time and energy disputing these additional charges.
Cons:We had to wait hours at the rental counter just to get our car because the Hertz employees worked incredibly slow and didn't care at all about customer service.

Pros:It was an OK car
Cons:I was expected to get the car at the airport, but it was in another location, so I have to pay 38 euros on a taxi to get the car. That was after waiting at the airport on a line for almost an hour. The drop-off was also awful. Finally I left the papers and the keys at the counter order not to miss my fly.
Cons:The pick location did not have computer service so hand wrote everything which took us over an hour just to get the car. Then apparently they wrote in and later entered into the system that our pick up time was an 1.5hrs earlier then we actually picked up the car (e.g. they indicated we picked up the car at 0930 which was before our plane even landed). We didn't realize this until we dropped off which then put us outside of the 24hr range. At the drop off location we also had to wait in line over a half an hour for them to check out the car. By the time we got to the counter we were showing a drop off time of 11 am. Since we were showing dropping off the car 1.5 hr past the 24 cut off, the drop off location (dif from pick up) decided to charge us an extra day. HOWEVER a DAYs rental would've only been about $10 somehow they managed to charge us an extra $70 and after an hour of disputing the charge at the counter and almost missing our outbound flights we were told there was nothing they could do.

1. Drop-off location at the parking in from of airport doesn't issue a car, only pickup 2. Terminal location is not listed on google maps 3. 20$ airport fee never mentioned during booking 4. Car wasa booked for 12pm, we arrived at 2:40pm it was not ready, waited 20 minutes and they give different car on manual gear, not automatic as booked (they are not paying attention), eventually exchanged fro automatic. 5. Booked Fiat 500L, but was given Opel Grandland
