The room and amenities of the hotel were very good (and would cost more in a major Canadian city which surprised me) and very easy connection from the airport via train and less than a $5 taxi ride. I also received a free upgrade to a very nice harbour view / ocean view room. English comprehension was limited even at reception and concierge (inconvenient but not critical in my situation).
I liked that this hotel was not so expensive, well maintained, and had a quite good location.
Shuttle to Hong Kong station Pool not open pass 9pm
Large clean rooms
I liked the view from the room. If you don't mind to take a few stops with the tram, the location is ok as well. If you like chinese food for dinner, it is ok. If you want a western style dinner, don't go there. For breakfast the situation is different; they have a good buffet style breakfast.
the hotel is very near local restaurants that serve cheap but authentic food it is not near any mtr station, so we had to take taxi, which is more expensive
Great food and very helpful and friendly staff Rooms dated and small
location confusing policies - the rates for telephone use were exorbitant, and I was able to extend my booking on the internet at a price that front desk promised was not available any longer.
Small and cozy for family of four. The concierge staff were fantastic, they direct us to the places of interest whether it is by bus, tram, electric bus or MTR, they give clear informations that really help. MTR station is quite a distance away.
i recieved a room upgrade for no charge and thought that was very i also thought the staff was friendly and caring.....also the concierage answered all our questions regarding directions and eating places in a very easy and informative manner....he even printed out a walking map for us.....transport to and from hotel was simple and very easy to do. i liked everything .....it did however take them 1 hour to deliver our bags to the room but that might of been cus it was late at night.....i am really not complaininmg about this but just being honest and informative..
Everything was wonderful and the location perfect. Rooms on the small size but great views and location.
Very pleasant atmosphere
Hotel was very close to subway Shangwan, and about 10 min walk to Central. Great view of the harbor from higher floors. Nice lounge area to sit and offers coffee all day. Good internet access. Breakfast was very simple (but was as advertised).
Everything was great. Located walking distance to Macau ferry and Western Market. Can walk a total of about 1.5 miles to major high end shopping, Apple Store, Kowloon ferry and Hop-on-Hop off bus. Lots of food near. Beds are a little hard but not as bad as mainland China. Rooms are very small but efficient. Beautiful outside patio for resting, relaxing and eating the continental breakfast that is provided every morning. Staff was fantastic. Hotel is small with only about 10 rooms per floor. The elevator (lift) is slow but not really a problem.
location to subway was within walking distance rooms too small. offfering for breakfast was literally just bread with coffee or tea. I accidentally left a pair of shoes in my room. Asked if they would ship to me at my expense to Shenzhen, they would NOT dot it. poor service
Very clean and modern, very efficient operation. They give you everything that you need, but only what you REALLY need-- clean, quiet, comfortable place to sleep and do a bit of work if needed. Even a very basic breakfast. Free, functioning internet (which the major hotels chains haven't yet been able to figure out for some reason). They do NOT provide some of the things that the traveler has become accustomed to receiving, so be forewarned that you will get shampoo but no conditioner. If you have non Hong Kong/UK electronics, better bring your adapter, because they don't supply them.
More space in the reason space
For one person the space was fine and the area around the hotel was pretty cool if you're into exploring on foot. Pretty neat design as well. The only issue was the bed was really hard.
Location, service, price, room Toothbrush and toothpaste were horrible.
Easy access, on the H1 bus line for the Airport Express, getting to/from the airport could hardly be easier. The tram is a 90 second walk down Eastern street. There's a McDonald's a block away and a 7-11 across the street. The bed was fairly comfy and made up every day. The room was TINY!!!! I would guess we had 2 feet on either side of the bed and maybe 2.5 feet at the foot. There is no closet or any other place to hang clothing. The tram and bus stops are near by, but the nearest MTR is a long long walk. The hotel does have a shuttle but due to road construction it dropped everyone at the Macau ferry terminal.
i dont like anything, this was very bad experience, i never imagine that can be a B western hotel in any part of the world without closet or place to put your clothes, i really very disapointment because i travel to several countries around the world and i never see even a one start hotel without closet.
Staff some great English and seemed to want to be helpful despite nothing to work with. I did international business travel staying at all levels of hotels for 30+ years. Unquestionably this is one of the worst hotel facilities I've ever endured. Despite having prepaid for three days, we left after one night. Here's a quick rundown of the deficiencies: few elevators for a lot of guests = long waits and full when they DO arrive. First room assigned on no smoking floor stunk badly of smoke. Bed was like an old ironing board with a thin pad. Room so small (and I'm used to small in London, NYC & Paris) you had to take turns moving about. Nearly half the room ammenities listed did not exist. Returning after dinner, the room drains had leaked a sewage smell into the room. Sink drained slowly. Shower small as a tight phone booth. I'm thin and while bending to wash my knees, I shut off the water valve, haha!
Room extremely small with just a small shower, no closest just couple of hanger on the wall, no table, no chair, no space for your suitcases, just enter and seat on the bed, you are like sleeping in the springs!
The location was excellent. We used the MTR a lot and being so close to the stop was great for us. It was also close to the harbor and Soho which made exploring very easy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was incredibly small, but in HK that is normal I suppose. The rooftop pool was closed. One of the reasons we booked was to take a picture from the roof so we were pretty bummed about it.
The cleaning staff and maintenance was up to par and done their job well. I was impress by how the cleaning staff wanted to service the rooms and most of the employees helped with my concerns and questions. The description of either full or double bed room wasn't explained properly on the website and I expected a Harbor View but received a Mountain View because they did not give me a double room on the harbor side for the price that I paid and wanted me to pay more for the the double bed on Harbour View which was not described in the website so me and my guest had to take the two twin beds and put them together to have one full bed and the beds were uncomfortable and very hard not being easy to sleep on. The description on the website said full or twin beds with no description on either mountain or Harbor View.
Hotel is very close to the subway station. Rooftop pool is a great added benefit! Rooms were a little bit small, but that is to be expected of in Hong Kong. Rooms felt dusty
View cleanliness staff Slow elevator
Proximity to all forms of transportation such as MTR, buses, trolley, and ferry terminal which makes it quite a convenient location. The local mobile phone that was provided is also a bonus as well as the view of the harbor. Staff are friendly, nice and helpful. While booking the description indicated that an in-room washer/dryer is included, but it was actually not. The entrance is small and easily missed. Room are on the smaller side, but serves the purpose.
Very Central Location and all the management and staff were most helpfull.I would highly recommend the hotel.
good location, good view of city and Victoria gulf if you stay on high floor. When I book the hotel in Booking.com, this hotel is listed among 5 star hotels. But actually it is a four star hotel, while selling its high floor, e.g. 30th floor, as five star hotel room. There is no swimming pool for us. But as a four-star hotel, it is qualified.
loved the location from LKF, the great city view, and nice room bathtub was tiny.
In number excellent audibility, it is audible as clap doors in the next rooms
the hotel is conveniently located near most party areas in the ciry, walking distance to most clubs and bar with lots of foreigners. room has very stylish design with local touch, fantastic view over the harbour the room and especially bathroom are pretty small, no free wi fi
Chinese decor, attentiveness of staff, location
THe decor of room-all the staff-especially Robert,George,Eric Kelvin and our room cleaner but all staff were lovely!!The situation in HK and the great views. Lack of plates, cereal bowls, cutlery and glasses in rooms!
The room was too small
The location was perfect. The hotel was clean and the room small, but very nicely decorated. The room was very quiet.
Nice bed, shower, excellent mobile phone rental policy Could hear the noise from the neighboring room. Maybe a better seal of the shared door between would help. Also, didn't get a receipt for my stay. By the time I remembered it was too late to go back.
Hotel is small, rooms very small and very overpriced. Will never stay there again.
Location Poor 4 star hotel standards overall
great value for the money. great location. wonderful staff. cleanest 3 star hotel room I ever stayed in! Will definitely come back. It doesn't serve breakfast. Reception and hotel exit are on different floors.
Staff were extremely helpful and the location on HK island was right in the midst of street life with everything within walking distance.
The location adjacent to Hong Kong Island mid-level and variety of things to do & shopping all at hand
very central location getting around the city
It was I a convenient location and at a good price via Booking.com The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Location Provided me with an Extra iPhone Charger Helpful and Friendly Staff Clean Room Good Value Trash was all over entrance to building Small Room Very plain building
Rooms are very large considering how close it is to SoHo. I really wish that you had a gym or fitness center.
location was superb for food, nightlife, and shopping hot water for shower not consistent
Great location and decor, excellent value for money. None
The location of the hotel the efficiency and kindness of the team the good quality of services The first room ( luxe) rented was no more large than the second ( standard)
overall a great hotel. ask for higher floors. Good breakfast and friendly helpfull staff. Odd odor in the lobby but might have been some construction that was going on outside. Neighborhood not the greatest but walking distance to main station and most hot spots - though if with luggage the $3 US cab ride is hard to pass up.
The hotel is located 2 blocks from the Sheung Wan MTR station. The staff are friendly and the room is clean. The hotel also provide a free shuttle service to and from the Hong Kong Station where you can catch the train to the airport. The breakfast area is a bit small and guests often had to line up for a table. Breakfast selection is quite limited.
Very new, very clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff. Sheung Wan (the area of HK where the hotel is located) is very crowded and dirty but close to Central and the hotel is a block away from the MTR station. I lived in HK for 20 years and like the location but it may turn off casual visitors.
Clean ,fair location and the staff are helpful and polite
My room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The space was well used but didn't feel tight or small. Great use of space. The bed was incredibly comfortable as well. I slept great. The only complaint I had is that there were three elevators to service 30 floors. Occasionally I had to wait a long time for an elevator, and being on the 20th floor, stairs weren't really an option. But that's such a minor thing.
Spacious room with a nice view very conveniently located near MTR and ferries for a good price. Helpful staff. When I went to my room after checking in, staff was repairing my door which took about 10 more minutes after I got there - should have been done before allowing me up to the room. Also one of the window blinds was broken and had to be repaired.
