It is situated in a very quiet area very near the town center. The grounds are well laid out and charming from an era I remember as a boy in the early '60's. There was a nice deck in the rear that looked out on the trees...quiet and cozy. Only in the small details. The toilet seat was loose and the toilet itself needs to be changed to one higher and modern. The B. Rm. sink did not drain as expected. Since it was rated 3rd best Inn, these details should not have been an issue.
It is confusing having customer ratings showing as you bid on hotels. I thought I was booking a 4 star hotel but hat was just the customer rating that was showing. Once I paid I realized it's a 3.5. I would have crept looking at that price. Thanks
This was my first time staying at the Renaissance. What can I say besides WOW!! It was 3 blocks away from the main strip. Everything was great! Beautiful pool, lovely room. They even have a FREE shuttle that took us to a local pub and back. Will be coming back A LOT.
Location is downtown, near all attractions Come on man! It's Palm Springs, it's a hundred and ten in the shade and your room ACs do not work...unacceptable! Six hours to get a tech to the room to tell me the condenser is inop...is that why the room is hot? Duh.
The best kind bed I have ever slept on. What kinds of comforter do you guys use!?
Well appointed Comfortable Clean Great pool area Very friendly, courteous and accommodating staff Not luxurious, but quite nice Parking was very lacking especially in the self-park area. We came home from a late night at the casino and there was literally no where whatsoever to park. Not in self-park or in valet park. We had to leave our car in the fire lane of the reception drive through area and leave the keys with the front desk so that they could move it if necessary. The valets moved it in the morning and we were not charged for valet parking which was thanks to the great staff.
Not enough self parking. Reckless driving through parking lot.
The hotel has a luxiourious ambiance. The facility needs to provide its guests with fresh towels daily. The parking should be free to all guests.
The room was nice and clean We had plumbing issues, the toilet had a slow flow, the bathroom sink and the shower would get clogged every 2 seconds. I found it very annoying because a great hotel like Renaissance, should troubleshoot every room before booking cuz it's not the customers responsibility to worry about major things like this.
Very nice Lobby area, pool area and food, room, bed. Staff were very pleasant Shortage of pool-area cleanup and horrible shortage of towels. No available loungers, but I'm guessing over half had been abandoned.
location and amenities nothing
Bed is comfortable, big pool Can hear everything in the hallways and need more attentive pool staff
Kids in the adult pool
Always a good time We come every August - and this is probably our 5th or 6th time. While its always a fun time, the hotel could stand to update itself a bit. Everything is exactly the same and the wear and tear is beginning to show. I'm getting a little bored.
The rooms were funky (loved putting on the record player) Too much of a rave-vibe. Great place for a college kids, not so great for 30-40 somethings (and an absolute "avoid" for anyone older). Loud pool-parties from 12pm-2am + rooms that really aren't sound-proof, don't mix. Bartenders had that typical annoyed attitude of bar tending in a night-club, not the typical service-oriented demeanor one expects in a hotel. Food was either great or gross.
The room decor was lovely. Very suitable for the desert. Excellent design elements. As bad as this sounds, but the overload of children in the pool. Ace is more young hip crowd & kids aren't relaxing to be around.
very small room, bathroom could have been a little cleaner
We hosted the taco party on a patio and they did a wonderful job accommodating us in every way. The staff was helpful and pleasant whenever we needed anything and everyone was always friendly. The bedroom door was really heavy and slammed easily.
I thought the drinks and food were wonderful and the staff was very accommodating. The room was fine. Overall, this place needs a ton of work. I know they are trying to be "hip" but it was just too dingy and unkempt. The cloth face "tents" on the lounge chairs were old, tattered and ripped. The wooden signage around the pool was weathered and cracked. Even the "pool toys" looked very old and worn out. The property sponsored a pool side party that went all day and into the night which made parking for guests a big pain. And the DJ had difficulty setting up his equipment so the guests were treated to LOUD speaker hissing, humming and other noises until the equipment was fixed. There are definitely nicer places in the area that are cheaper. Didn't hate my stay but nothing would draw me back to stay there again.
It was wonderful!!!!
The selections of fine linens and toiletries, the location, the cocktails... The noise... The lack of a black out curtain on an east facing window instead using a white piece of canvas... Oh and that they had stopped serving the grits at the restaurant
Restaurant and bar Pool! Spa Towels Beds, Room furniture was uncomfortable Lacking room for luggage
Location, nice bath Dirty and stained carpet in room 246
My daughter and I found the hotel online, read the reviews and decided to try the Caliente. It worked out perfectly! The room was great, the beds were fine, lovely large shower; we were very pleased with the room. We loved the pool and the hot tub, altogether I highly recommend the hotel. On our second night, for some reason, neither the jets nor lights were functioning in the hot tub. The next day they were. In the afternoon while lounging around the pool with our books, we found the music distractingly loud, however the volume was lowered as soon as we requested it. Shower water pressure was a little light.
We loved the pool area and although the restaurant/bar wasn't open yet, that will be a nice bonus later. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly. Tiki decor was cute Our room was pretty run down although you could see it was partially updated. I would have preferred to be upstairs I think and not so close to all the main traffic walking by
New flat screen t.v.s Price is right.
I liked that it is a pet friendly hotel with a beautiful pool. The staff was friendly and able to accommodate my family The cleanliness of the grounds could be better. A guest got sick in the lawn area and it was never properly cleaned up.
Tiki feel and vibe are great. Friendly staff. Rooms need updating.
recently renovated. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic tiki vibe, especially in lobby, Restaurant and bar not open yet. But will be soon!
Nothing to like. It didn't look like anything advertised on the website. The pool is surrounded by the parking lot. There are no towels at the pool. We didn't even check in, but left after 10 minutes and moved to a different hotel.
Warm Pool, Park near the door, fridge, late hours for Jacuzzi and swimming pool Uncomfortable mattress, vending machines are not 24 hours
The staff were incredibly friendly (really-- some of the friendliest service I have ever had), they had free on demand tv, and the pool facilities are very nice.
Grassy area for dogs warm pool Bedding was nice on-site restaurant was convenient DVR was a great plus Shower was too high, and couldn't get the water hot enough Carpet needed cleaning had to keep dogs on leash- rather have it fenced Can't enjoy the pool- no place to leave the dogs- maybe a couple kennels for a quick dip? With a treat my dogs would be happy for a bit.
Well appointed, comfortable rooms. Wonderful service from friendly owners. Cold beer and popcorn on arrival, wine happy hour around a fire pit. Heated pool and hot tub in lovely patio. Nourishing breakfast. Very fast wifi. What more could one ask for?
Felt at home instantly. Great service. Nice, calm, relaxing place to stay. Loved everything.
Came here with the boyfriend and we had a blast. It was a bit further away from everything, and we just stayed at the hotel the entire time. We left once to get Chipotle. Definitely worth it for the price though. Great service and hotel perks! Would come back here for sure. A bit of an older crowd, very quiet. No smoking on the premises! It's got a family vibe, so your neighbors know what you're up to.
The valet staff was AMAZING!! They were friendly, fast, and provided us with advice on where to go. They were down to earth, joked around with us, and did not hesitate to carry out luggage to and from the room. Always greeted with a smile. Also, the man at the front desk Gabe was awesome. I felt welcome when checking in, and when my awesome bachelorette picked up every single item in and on the mini bar, Gabe fixed the charges without hesitation. All staff was awesome!! I'm not much of a valet girl, I'd rather self park so I didn't like that it's all valet. But like I said, the valet guys were awesome. I also didn't like that for my future sis in laws bachelorette party I couldn't bring in an ice chest or more than 12 beers. Those rules made me feel like maybe next time we'll suck it up, endure the prices and the crowd we don't want to be around and head to Vegas.
Clean and well designed. We really enjoyed our stay here. The only complaint is that the bathroom has glass doors. They're fogged so you can't see too much, but it's still super weird pooping with your loved ones walking by. I don't know why anyone would design a bathroom like that!
They were each amazing but altogether made it an amazing stay, can't wait to return! The hear
Pool party Small resturant and less staff for holiday
YOU MUST change the SMALL pillows on the bed....it makes no sense..the pillow cases on your pillows are normal size, tucked in to accomodate what esstenially are decorative pillow size.... NOT sleeping pillows....the bed itself was not to my comfort...but PLEASE CHANGE THE PILLOW SIZE AT THE VERY LEAST.
Great location to all downtown shops and restaurants. Can walk from hotel to all of the local shops. Staff are always on queue and ready to help. Rooms are nice but not very sound proof. Had to change rooms after next door family made so much noise. But staff handled it very professionally. Can also hear outside noises a little too well.
I liked the decor in the entrance. It was pretty awesome Pool was waaay too small, for a birthday we were put in a room with a bunch of noise next door of garbage trucks and construction, a little over priced.....not as good as vegas to be such a high priced facility
location, bar area with live music Valet stood and talked to each other for five minutes before coming to take our car, only one front desk agent with a line of 10 people, rooms weren't clean, listed as a mountain view and our view from the balcony was two big trees and a run down business in the back. Hallways smelt like marijuana.
The staff was great, friendly and sweet I have stayed here before a couple times. I feel that the rooms have seen better days, it was dingy and I didn't care for the way it was kept up. mildly disappointed.
Music from the club until late at night prevented us from sleeping. The valet parking attendant smelled of alcohol, so we parked on the street. Accidentally moved M&M's from their perch, was charged.
The room was spacious and the staff was beyond amazing Room was old, dried up gum in the carpet and just didn't give me what I expected to receive for my money
Our reserved room with two queen beds was unavailable upon arrival. The other room offered had one huge bed, but the other person was on a couch made into a queen. The suite was very posh, the Presidential Suite, with two rooms and a shower ten feet square!
The grounds, pool area, hallways and the rooms were very clean and well maintained. The rooms were large and the beds comfortable. There was also plenty to do within walking distance of the hotel.
Close walking to shoppimg and restaurant's.
The service in the hotel restaurants was horrible. But it is a clean hotel. Not really worth the price.
Service was fast and attentive, even at the restaurant and even on a sold out weekend. And they didn't nickel-and-dime us for every little thing, such as the toothbrushes we forgot and the room towels we accidentally left at the pool. Not sure why people complain about the expensive parking because there is a free self-park lot only 100 feet away with plenty of spots.
This hotel is really in need of a major rehab. The pool had scum floating in it.
Staff was great and extremely helpful. Pool was relaxing. Food was okay but breakfast was better than lunch and dinner. The bar at the pool was good, but the drinks weren't strong or worth 9$. The alcoholic beverages at the pool bar were the biggest let down.
Everything was awesome, from check-in to check -out! The hotel was built in early 50's, but was updated while still maintaining the mad men classy feel. Everyone in our party loved the hotel. The views were spectacular at day and at night. Cannot express enough how wonderful this place is!
The room was clean and the furniture was updated. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The parking was terrible, plus they charge a daily fee of $18 which I was not aware of. The pool area was great and it was clean but the pool itself had tons of dead bugs and the water was so dirty and cloudy which was a really a shame because it was almost 110 degrees outside!
This place was so clean! I am so picky about my rooms and pools and Hilton didn't disappoint. We traveled with kids and the pool had a lot of them during the week (not sure about weekend), and they all had such a fun time. Also, so conveniently located by all of the shops and food. Great and accommodating staff. No complaints here! Nothing ;)
Nightly parking fee on top of room rate, excessive charge
The Innkeeper, Chris was so helpful getting us acquainted with her hotel by letting us see and chose which of the available rooms we wanted. The property goes back to the 1930's and she was happy to share the history with us. We really enjoyed our stay but would have been nice to know of the historical value from logging, to the 'arts' to 'Elvis slept here'! We were also pleased to find that some rooms had fireplace which was used.
everything was good
the view and the water the office closes at 7pm and we couldnt get breakfast because it was too late, at 9am
A delightful place to stay. Relaxing, perfectly located.
small quiet and very close to town. very friendly staff. good dvd selection. no
The room was charming. Everything I could have wanted was there at Silver Pines, including tiny waterfalls I went to sleep listening to. I don't get to live there.
The grounds were absolutely beautiful and the rooms were clean and nice. The staff dropped the ball pretty much every time we asked for assistance or needed an issue resolved. The only good experience we had with staff was a server in the restaurant, the bartender at the pool and a maintenance worker by the pool. The front desk staff were extremely rude, many staff members have no idea where anything is on the property, and no one apologized for making mistakes. 4th of July is obviously a busy weekend for the hotel, but we were also there for a wedding and the staff made many mistakes in accommodating the event and basic needs of a wedding group.
History of hotel and accessibility of a cocktail was nice. Room was nicely decorated and clean with exception of windows. Pay full price and you will get center room to main pool. Book in advance at discounted rates and you will get the garden villas aka lawn parking lot views. External windows haven't been cleaned in probably 2 years but I think it was a lawn view, difficult to see out. Good luck finding an umbrella by the pool. You can pay $500 for private cabana or burn in the sun for free.
Nice staff! Big rooms Water main broke so that was a bummer but they moved us and compensated us a little. The first room had a big tub that I was looking forward to soaking in but never got the chance and the second room unfortunately didn't have one. Also we asked for non feather bedding because of allergies but at 2am we realized they weren't so our first night was pretty miserable
The one thing we enjoyed was the pool table and rental of the bikes. I didn't like the fact I had to wait four hours to change my room and the house keeper and front desk go at back n fourth about changing my room that was filled with dead ants and live ones including bugs. Smelled badly .
Nice pool area They could not get the heat to work and had no room available to move is to that had working heat. We were told the hotel would waive the $35 per day resort fee - we were then charged the fee upon check out. There should be some habitability law that requires basic deliverables from a hotel in California - if there is it is not being enforced.
We were able to have an early check in, at around noon on a Wednesday. Staff were all friendly. Service around the main pool was good. Food for breakfast and lunch was adequate but not amazing. We ate our dinner out each night, so cannot comment. We had a room in building four - LOVED having a balcony overlooking the pool. LOVED being at the back by the quieter pool. We really liked that the resort is trying to keep the "midcentury modern" vibe with the interior design. We appreciated being able to use the main pool and gym after checkout on the day we were leaving, even though we could not have a late checkout. The rooms were large and although the place does need some upkeep, we did not think it detracted from the overall feel of the hotel. The most frustrating thing was that we were out of our room from 10AM - 4PM and when we came back they had not cleaned our room. We asked them to wait until we were done getting ready to go out for dinner and then a manager called to say that the staff had to clean our room right then because it was time for her to go home. She cleaned the room with us in there getting ready to go out for dinner. On the first day we had to wait an hour for room service to bring wine glasses to our room, and when we called back they said they thought they had sent them already. We arrived on a Wednesday, and went to the smaller pool where there were no clean towels. We waited for about an hour. A guest called and they said they would send towels right away. About a half hour later another guest called and the staff said "oh yes, someone called three minutes ago about that". The towels arrived soon after that. The bar at the smaller pool was advertised as being open on our welcome brochure, but was not open for the first two days of our visit. I wish they would have told us that this was going to be the case, or at least had a sign up explaining. Overall much of our negative experience was consistent with previous reviews. I think I would stay at this hotel again, but only if the reviews started to show that these things were changing. It seemed like possibly they were understaffed, or did not know where to put their priorities.
The staff was nice that's about it This resort was dirty and not what we expected
I really liked Donna in the Gift shop - She was so nice and friendly. The rest of the staff was very nice as well. My room did not get cleaned the first day. by the time they showed up It was 5:30pm and I was in my room getting ready to go out for the evening. I'm not a messy person - so no big deal. But the next day they had it done by mid afternoon. The lights in my hotel room were dim and some burnt out, but I made do. The pool was relaxing and the drinks were great. The people I met at the lobby bar were so much fun. The location is great - 7 11 is right across the street - convenient. And local shops are just a block away. I would stay there again.
location was great. staff was warm and friendly. room was clean and bed was comfortable. ac heating did not work. called front desk and was told they would send someone but that did not happen.
The staff was friendly, the pool, the music First room smelled weird, the second room had a cockroach on the wall.
buildings run down elevators smell and don't work well towels dirty bathroom with fixtures chipped two lamps without light bulbs
Common areas, Pool was beautiful, hot tub was great. Rooms are funky - The first one smelt like human refuse. THe service is pathetic - getting atoothbrush takes 1.5 hours and reminders. There is a "fee" for this reservation - be aware.
The location was perfect. We were close to everything. We got there at night, so we didn't see anything till morning. It was a beautiful area, well kept, and the staff was very nice. Down side was it was outdated. The mini fridge in our room was on it's last leg, the tv was an old box, the decor was very Outdated. Over all the place needs a good renovation, but I felt like it was well worth what we paid for the room.
They let us do late check out to 1pm. The resort few was included in the the kayak charge. No hidden fees. At request upon check in they gave us a room with pool view. Would for sure stay there again when coming back to Palm Springs. No music at the pool most days. Large clump of hair in shower not cleaned. When they made our beds they took the earphones that were laying in the bed. Maybe they blended in. Phone didn't work in the room.
Tennis courts and golf course were nice. Some of the staff members were great; others not so much. I was told the place was about to undergo a complete remodel; I hope so! The whole interior is in desperate need of a makeover. The room was fairly clean on the surface, but it was dusty, the carpet and upholstery were stained, towels were thin and scratchy... the little touches were completely absent -- they provided one bar of soap we had to use for both the sink and shower, cups were flimsy plastic and not restocked every day, the pool area was barren and hot. The restaurants were depressing -- empty, with little natural light and no reason to want to go in. Some staff members were unhelpful, disinterested and didn't seem to care. All in all, worth about half of what we paid.
Clean rooms, friendly staff, very nice pool
Location was ok, about a $13 Uber ride from downtown Palm Springs and did have lots of parking. Booked this hotel last min for a getaway and figured how bad could it be since it was a resort and all the places I would choice typically were booked up for the holiday weekend. That was not the case, the hotel claims it's a resort just because it's connected to a golf resort and community. It's a super old room with worn out furniture, gross carpet and cheap decor. Randomly the bed was comfortable. Pool looked ok but was packed with families with kids. Nothing about the hotel made it resort like.
Was given a room key when I checked in, when I got to the room it was already occupied. When I told frint desk she seemed shocked and asked if I inew who they were. then wanted to put me on first floor. When I said no decided then to move someone that hadn't checked in yet. That should have been first option.
The bed The entrance of the hotel was nice, maybe it was because it was beside a golf course. They don't have anybody to help us with our things and they keep telling information to the customers that was misinforming. There was no pressure in the shower When we first got in our room, the fridge was located in the bathroom, and the plug keeps falling off, the phone was not working, so i had to call in for the operator through my phone and our tv was dated and its buttons was pushed in. They gave us another room, it was the same but the fridge was working and tv was okay. They only have maybe 13 channels and the rest is ppv.
Great view! Lots of potential. People at the front desk were great. Dirty! Had a smell due to a leak in the ceiling on our floor. Pool bottom was dirty. I realize it is the desert but here was dust everywhere inside. Paint was old and dingy. Looked as though at one point was very nice and just not kept up.
The hotel and surrounding golf course was beautiful! My boyfriend loves golf and he played as soon as we arrived.. While I watched & drive the cart. The people he played with were both out of towners and local... Both very friendly and nice. Hotel is in a convenient location... Starbucks & grocery store right across the street for morning coffee and snacks/food for the day. Room has a refrigerator... However, no microwave.. so don't bring back left overs unless you eat it cold. The first night, we were woken up by a STRONG smell of cigarettes. We thought it was coming from outside but we never opened our patio door for our whole stay. It was strong in the bathroom too... So it had to have been coming from the vents. I have really bad instant allergies to the smell of cigarettes smoke... So, that coming thru the vents had a bad effect on the rest of my day.
Rooms were clean, pool and golf course looked nice. The hotel was large. Lots of parking. Starbucks across the street. For being such a huge hotel it was oddly unoccupied on a holiday weekend. There's huge ballrooms throughout the hotel and no events. No open cafes or pool bar. The gym is a hotel room turned into a gym. We barely saw anyone at the hotel. The hotel is huge and I think we saw maybe 3 hotel staff people of whom were quiet and melancholy. It seems like a scene out of a horror movie.
It's very close to the shops, it's clean, it's reasonable and it has a/c. The free breakfast was pretty good - I know I got full on my omelet, watermelon and toast and the table next to us had about a zillion yummy looking waffles. I wouldn't honeymoon here or take an extended weeks stay and live it up but for passing through for one night for the price - it's fine. They didn't enforce the swimming after 10:30 rule as some young guys were in there after 12:30 and quite loud. Parking was kind of limited so people were parked where they shouldn't but that's not the 'parkers' fault. And agree with the one review with a nice omelet bar but no real side dishes - they couldn't have a side of potatoes or sausage in a catering pan? but wow, these are small issues - like my headline review states - It's fine.
Beds are awesome!!!! Breakfast could be better, but no big deal Selection wise, but I get it
The staff at Las Brisas were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and spacious. I slept very comfortably in the cozy bed. Our inclusive breakfast was very nice with not only normal hotel breakfast but omletes and waffles as well. My only complaint was waking up very early to the people next door visiting. The wall must not be very sick because we could hear every word that was said.
Online photo doesn't match room. Room to clutter with big furniture that just take space
The hotel is located very close to numerous shops and busy areas of Palm Springs. With all the lush landscaping and greenery it was very calm and quiet. We were within walking distance of just about anything. A quite pleasurable experience. Only negative comment was the morning breakfast/brunch. they served hot omlettes but lacked most other things you would find at other continental breakfasts like bagels, fruit.
I woke up with 50 bites on my legs!!! They need to exterminate in room 305!!!
Just a block away from town where you can walk, shop, eat or go to a spa. Nothing better!
Comfortable beds Very small pool and horrible parking.
The quaintness of the hotel made it a hit with us. The staff was very accommodating. The beds were very comfy and the room spacious. It was centrally located to the restaurants and shops. The room we stayed in, 231, needs a long length mirror. There were plenty of spaces to put one outside of the bathroom and in the main room. My friend and I had to take turns getting ready. Only one mirror is kind of silly.
Very nice hotel, in a beautiful city, very nice rooms and very comfortable.
We appreciated that we were able to check-in early and staff was very friendly. The room had more than anyone would need. A full furnished kitchen with space to sit down. The parking is a bit tight. We arrived late one evening and we had to leave our car parked near the office (not an official parking space).
The staff was very friendly. Great recommendation of where to eat.
great location. nicely renovated. newer rooms by the main spa look great and will stay in one of them next time. a little noisy by the main street but not a major problem
Clean and comfortable rooms, convenient location, quiet and a great place to stay for your $$ Showers lacked pressure
Excellent value for money and the first flat screen TV I encountered in a 28 day trip to USA - Arizona, NM and Ca
wifi didnt work, every hotel we have gone had free bottle water, hair in ice bucket, dust above wood inside closet,
i loved the bed. I was in town for the weekend visiting my marine and we stayed there and the beds were super comfy and the ambiance of the room was all around nice. Wish the tub was a little bigger but other the. That everything was amazing. The pool and hot tub were nice to
Good location ... Studio king for one is good ...
We LOVED staying at 7 Springs! This Inn was exactly what we wanted for a stay in Palm Springs. Something small, cozy, mid-century modern, with a relaxing pool and a view of the surrounding mountains. This had it all. Plus, they had TWO spas, and they are walking distance to Palm Springs Dr! The bed was comfortable, and the value was incredible. Our room was spacious, and even had a kitchenette complete with a dinette table, plates/utensils/cooking supplies, etc. Service was friendly and efficient. While taking a shower on the second day, the faucet popped off of the wall and a gush of water started spewing out. Plumbing issues don't scare me so I just pushed the faucet back on and thankfully it stayed put... but it was a potentially dangerous situation as the faucet came off the pipe pretty quickly. Glad it didn't land on my foot! Also, when we checked in to the Inn we asked about extended check out. They said that they can do it, but it's up to the discretion of their housekeeping manager. The host, however, said that it should be fine - just call the morning of. When we called, however, we were only extended 30 minutes. It was quite a rush to get out in that amount of time when we were expecting 1-3 hours of extension! That said, it's a smaller Inn and we are aware that rooms need to be cleaned for other guests. We did notice, however, that the lone housekeeper was still 2 rooms down as we were leaving, so we probably could have gotten at least another 30 minutes...
The atmoshpere around the pool and restaurant
Nice boutique hotel.
A perfect hotel with a wonderful room. We would recommend it to every one visiting Palm Springs.
this is a very nice vintage hotel in the heart of palm springs. their compimentary upgrade to a casitas was a bonus.
sat by pool and enjoyed the quiet and elegance of the hotel. Also, walked around downtown Palm Springs and enjoyed shopping and restaurants- the Casino too! Next day took tram up mountain to San Jacinto Wilderness and did a 6 mile hike! na
The overall vibe of the place was great from from facility maintenance staff to the chef. N/A
We had a lovely clean and cool room and the hotel had a very calm vibe with lots of relaxed seating in and out of the shade,it aslo had a lovely pool and was in walking distance of downtown Additional daily charge($22) for leisure facilities should be included in the room rate quoted to ensure comparison with other hotels is easy
A fantastic little boutique hotel of 50 rooms - really nice decor and details in the rooms - a great pool bar and restaurant - would definitely recommend this place. Nothing
The peace and serenity of the mountains as you sat by the pool and cool mist decided from above....a total relaxation. I thought the maid service was spotty. My room was clean but they did not replace items such as T.P. which I think is an important item:)
pool, service $25 per day "fee" not reasonable
Still got that retro funky sense of style. Great pool (DJ was really good). Still more affordable than other hip spots around. Spacious, simple rooms. Hotel staff was super helpful. Almost never any towels available at the pool. Drink service at the pool was dodgy at best. The hotel bar closed at 11:00pm on a Saturday night (had to do a Ralphs run for beer). Construction going on. Kids running around.
Great simple easy looks fantastic!
Ran down Clean better......Replace old dated furniture..... new paint
The Saguaro personifies Palm Springs- the colors, atmosphere, overall vibe. 2 of my girlfriends and I used it as a home base for the weekend, during which we had several parties to attend. It's location makes it prime, the deal we got on Kayak was uncomparable with the other 4 stars in the area. Clean, spacious, love the fridge in the room! Pool of course, is top 3 in the city. Also, EL JEFE has some of the most delish and forward thinking cuisine in town. At a reasonable price! I would eat there even without the convenience of staying there....goat cheese wrapped in eggplant? YES PLEASE Elevator was down in our tower during our stay, which was the only downside to our stay- lugging our bags to the 3rd floor during the hottest day of the week sucked, but luckily we are able-bodied and unbothered, may not have been as easily overlooked by older clients or clients with kids. We were told it was being fixed, hopefully soon!
The concierge, Lynne, made our stay special! She is super friendly, accommodating and thoughtful. The hotel has everything you need! Pool and oustside activities were very resort-like, and the bar/restaurant on site was perfect for a happy hour start to our night out! Our next stay we plan on using their gym and cruisers to explore PS. Also loved the Buz Bus stop right outside front door. Had a great stay and will be back!
Nothing stands out The pool is murky. They absolutely should not allow pool goers that are not staying at the hotel. Drain the pool & start over! The rooms are NOT "suites". Also, what defines boutique? The colors are cool, the concept was executed but the staff & locals that frequent the pool are not keeping it classy.
The bar closing at 11 PM was rather frustrating when we were trying to get together as a group and catch up with people
Great facial and good pool scene. The room service was yummy and super fast. The elevator broke the day we got there. Things in certain areas looked run down.
Nice open patio. Hummingbirds everywhere. If I knew my room was at the foot of the staircase I would have said no way. Now I know to ask.
great pool, basic rooms, older hotel but done nicely, food was good and a fun vibe all round, supermarket across the road. emailed for info prior to arrival but no reply, smoking policy not well in-forced.
cool vibe. Seems like a great place to party. colorful. el jefe was el overpriced. we live in LA so we shouldn't have been surprised by the prices, and were still shocked by the lack of value.
I liked the look of the place all the bright colors While I was asleep my husband woke up to find bugs in our bed! We told the front desk and they offered us new sheets we left and when we called the manager Anna she was dismissive and rude!
the starbucks coffee in the room and the layout of the room itself how old the furniture looked. hotel needs to be renovated! the check in reception desk employees were not as professional as i expected from a Hyatt.
When back to my room in the evening and found roaches all over the place call downstairs and they didn't move my room just came to clean up they told my I was gonna get remburst but no body in the day shift got the memo so I got to pay full price for a roach room never going back
Cleanliness & location. Staff wasn't incredibly personable at the front desk.
Their room have a separate living room area The parking lot to avoid a 25 dollar valet parking is a hike
Nice pool area Nice workout facilities with weights and kettlebells Great rooms/ suites Good location- close to shops and restaurants mandatory $25/ night valet charge "all guests must valet park" was not stated at time of booking. Workout room smells like smoke on evey visit. Hotel borders major construction site- didn't affect our stay but might bother others. Everything looked nice and fresh except for elevators.
Central to downtown Palm Springs, friendly staff. Heat didn't work in my room and the hotel is very tired and in need of a renovation.
Location was great. Young people were cursing and obnoxious and little children were listening to this and no staff did a thing. The rooms were very dark Like a dungeon.
Loved the literal wonderland that you enter into when inside the property.. It feels like Through the Looking Glass (complete with outdoor chess!). The pools are nice, the lemonade stand drinks are excellent, and the staff is very attentive. Kind of disappointed about the room (on the small size, and teetering on the brink of shabby and chic - but I guess if you like shabby chic, this is great!). I overheard someone complaining about cookie crumbs (not theirs!) in their sheets when they climbed into bed.. those better have been some damn good cookies (no, sorry, I'm kidding - that is just disgusting). I was also frustrated by the booking process.. Granted, I used a third party site ("not the responsibility of the Parker"), but you know what, I have two words: quality control. They do not have to let every last crummy travel site book their rooms for them (and shame on me for using said crummy travel site!). Oh and lastly, the prices are kind of ridiculous here. It doesn't matter how wealthy you are (not that I am), but I think anyone would be insulted by $36 for juice and coffee (which I overheard someone ELSE complaining about at the pool--wasn't even me!).
The hotel is unique with a lot of character. One of the best hotels I've stayed at. The entire staff was amazing as well as the food. Every meal I had there did not disappoint!
Main pool area, staff friendliness, bar by pool, good concept and should be a nice place once completed. Nostalgic. Under construction, unorganized, trying to do too much all at once. Toilet and shower issues, had to move rooms, they did upgrade us for the hassle.
Loved our stay and enjoyed the modern appearance and design of the grounds and rooms. Fabulous pool and lounging area with bar and fire pit. Excellent service received from all the staff. Would recommend! Nothing!
The V Palms Springs Hotel was a great experience. Everyone was more than helpful, cool room decor and had a DJ for the 10-5 frame. Will definitely stay there again.
The staff made it more than worth it. Very clean, good food and drinks. Useless gym
Location and facilities, price reduction promotion. Cute style for an old&small size room. Nice bathroom with direct outside light. They have night lamps that are high and heavy given that is an earthquake zone that can topple and hurt the bed occupants. The large pool water temperature was a bit to chilly for December.
Beautiful modern room, USB ports, cement floor (no carpet), cushy bed with down comforter, cozy terry robes, private patio (a bit austere), central pool and fire pit. Comfy outdoor seating with a great view of the mountains. Interesting bar food, reasonably priced and e exulted adequately. Very friendly, accommodating staff. Techno music piped loud til 10pm. No sign outside, hard to find in the daytime, there's a dogleg turn to make off the main road to get into the parking lot. A big V lights up at night, easier to see. Full restaurant isn't open yet. Watch out for extra resort fee on booking. Mine was all included in the kayak and getaroom rates, but I've seen other complaints.
We loved everything about this hotel. The beds were one of the best beds I've ever slept on while traveling. The pool area is intimate and great DJ. The drinks and food were over priced for what it was. They told us they would call when our room was ready but we never got a call and had to follow up ourselves. They ran out of towels at the pool.
Room was very modern and clean. Lots of comfortable seating around pool. Room was small. Listed bikes for loan weren't available.
My Fiancé and I had a wonderful 2 night stay at V Palm Spring, March 13 - 15. The staff, from reception to Elixir (the pool bar) to housekeeping were wonderful. Bruce at Elixir deserves a special mention for his passion for mucilage ans terrific customer service. Try the Small Sombrero and Bloody Mary/Maria.
Formerly Howard Johnsons. Remodeled and rebranded. Not much of a change from before. Pool and patio furniture by lobby are nice. Second pool could use some landscaping. Great location. Good parking.
This was my first time in Palm Springs and thankfully my experience was a positive one. The entire staff is super friendly and VERY helpful. They have bicycles that you may borrow to ride around town. They also have a water yoga class, which we took advantage of, and a meditation class. Overall, our stay was pleasant and relaxing. Overpriced pool drinks :( Hopefully they don't increase once the entire hotel is up and running. Also, it's a little noisy, not the hotel's fault, but if you're trying to sleep in, will probably not happen. They let dogs stay in the hotel, I don't like that either. I am not a pet owner and I like to get away to get away from my noisy, dog barking 24/7 neighborhood for some barking peace and quiet. While there was not excessive barking, I was awakened by a large dog's bark. :(
The staff was excellent. Nice modern lobby. Upgraded older hotel. I believe pets are allowed here. There was dog feces on the walkway but staff cleaned once they were made aware of it. There was also broken glass on the stairs. The parking was limited.
