They rejected our reservation. They said that they didn’t have any cars available because the reservation was made less than 24 hours in advance, even though it was the previous day and the system let us make the reservation.

Horrible experience in Indianapolis airport picking the car up, they try to upsell very aggressively and even though everything was paid in advance they add new hidden fees to the bill. Avoid Dollar!

Staff not helpful-no one was there when I dropped off the car. I couldn’t get a receipt and they charged me $65 and given that I already paid Kayak, I don’t know why I was billed.

The car was good and the customer service in the terminal was good. However the exit only had one person staffed and took 30 minutes to exit. They didn't add this onto my rental time, and then billed me an extra hour for returning late.

This was a terrible experience, thrifty charged me for the rental for $1300 that I paid for through kayak and we got that refunded and now after returning the car yesterday I check my account this morning and they have charged me $862.

Had to wait 30 minutes in line. The clerk looked for my reservation on Hertz instead of Thrifty. The did t tell me the car was in the Hertz parking lot instead of Thrifty. Will never rent with them again.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY they're trying to charge me an additional $79.85 for gas even though I turned it in with slightly more in it than when it was given to me! It was just under the first tick above half when I got it. I put it over the tick when I turned it in. Now just about half a tank of gas is somehow worth $80. Also, the $200 deposit was not told to me before booking, so I had to scramble for that money! Now they're saying it could take 14 days to be returned! Awful, shady practices. Would not trust them again. They seem cheaper at first for a reason.

Not a Damn Thing, I never got my rental car, d/t my booking agent not telling me that I needed a credit card, found out the day I arrived in Indianapolis. The cost of the rental was $422, I have been trying to find out from them why I still had to pay the full price, when I never got the rental, on the contract it states that if I cancelled before 24 hrs it would be $100, & during the 24hr it would be $200, I have yet to receive any answers from them regarding this situation. Mean while I had to rent from another place in the airport which costed me $600, so I could have transportation while there for a wk, trying to take care of my sick son. I also called your agency a few time to speak to someone, there was no help there either. Not Happy at all.

Pros:

No staff at the counter when we arrived, a card said to use the kiosk and no kiosk to be seen. When we brought the car back there was no staff around and this was at 4:30 PM.

Cons:

Get anybody to be at your place of business or close down. And by the way we noticed that there was a big plug in the right rear tire. That is very dangerous in my opinion, and no spare along with no staff.

Staff was friendly getting the rental and something happened to their computer. Claimed my reservation was flagged and they wouldn’t be able to rent to me for the night.

Cons:

I rent from sixt regularly. There was no code or reason for the reservation being flagged. The agent couldn’t explain why.

Picking up the vehicle went smoothly, and the price was very competitive compared to other options. Our only point of friction is that a witch must have cursed us to always get Jeep Gladiators when we rent cars without specifying a model. We drove around in a big goofy Tonka Truck for the whole holiday, for a second time, to the amusement of all our friends we saw. Who even rents Jeep Gladiators on purpose? We don't know, but when it's an accident, it's always us.

I rented because it was $165.00. After turning back in, I was charged another $200.00 and $53.00. The total was $165.00, so why the extra charges? Kayak is nothing but a big rip off company.

I recommend downloading the Hertz app for mobile check-in. We found the travel to be heavy and lines longer than normal. The app allows the mobile check-in and bypass the lines. The employees were helpful and quick.

Paid for a car and then due to a flight delay I got to the desk 10 minutes after they closed. I called them before boarding to tell them about my delay and was told I would have the car I paid for waiting for me but that didn’t happen. Called customer service again and was told everyone went home for the day and I couldn’t get a car. Easily one of the most frustrating rental experiences I’ve ever dealt with.

I reserved a car from Indianapolis to Cincinnati. When I arrived at the Avis kiosk, the lady told me that they don’t honor same day reservations and that she doesn’t have a car for me. This was close to midnight and without the great service from the people at National car rental, I would’ve been stuck in Indianapolis. I understand that it might be challenging for companies to deal with short term reservations - this one was done like 4-5 hrs before pickup - but the way this issue was handled, was extremely poor. Cherry on top was that they told me, that my booking is non-refundable and I had to go out of my way to settle this. Good thing is - I now find a new favorite company to rent from, which is National and one, I’ll never consider again, due to their poor service.

The Avis location where I was scheduled to drop the rental was not open when we arrived. I left the car there, put the keys in the drop box.. Avis contacted me 3 days later saying I had not returned my rental.. I had the car less than 24hrs. They have charged me for 40hrs & to replace the keys..
