Over the three months that I rented fron Avis two vehicles had to be traded for oil changes, one for battery problems and one for tire problems. The fifth one lasted the longest. The staff at Juneau Airport were really good. Although I had problems, I would rent from Avis again.

It would be nice to have a little flexibility on drop off / pick up times. My rental was 10am pick up so was expected to drop off at 10am although my flight was not until 2PM. To get the car for the additional few hours (12PM/1PM) would have costed me another $150 which was not worth it to me. All other rental companies give grace periods for free to allow for varying flight times .
