There was an extremely subtle dent in the door that could have been there when i picked up the vehicle. You could only see it by looking at it from a slight angle, into light reflecting off of the vehicle surface. It was documented as new damage.

Everything good except for the 1 1/2 hour wait for picking up the car it was ridiculous it was like 3:00 am also dropping off was annoying hassle you need more employees if your going to have over 40 people waiting on line with only 1 employee

Car seat was covered in urine. I called ahead to make sure it was in the car already because we were arriving at 11pm with our 2 year old. When we arrived it wasn’t in the car and they didn’t have any at the counter. Waited 45 minutes for them to find one. Cars navigation and audio screen shut off every 2-3 minutes the whole time we had the car

If you are renting a car at MSY beware. You must wait in line to then take a shuttle bus to the rental car place which is at least 20 minutes away. Upon arrival you get in line again to rent the car. We picked up our car which was filthy. The attendants at the gate checking out the cars said that it is not their job to clean them, just check them out. Upon returning the car, we entered a sea of about 500 parked returned cars and no employees in sight. A person then appeared, scanned the car and said to leave the keys in it. I asked for a receipt & they said it was emailed. The email never came & I tried tracking down an employee for 20 minutes. No one at the counter or anywhere for that matter. The two employees I did track down pawned me off on different employees that all were of no help & could not email me the receipt. My husband had to make the trek down to the rental counter to get a printed copy. Then you get to stand I. Line for the shuttle & ride 20+ minutes back to the airport. Unbelievable & I’ve never seen anything like it. Truly a mismanaged mess. Avoid at all costs, especially if you’re traveling with kids. There is no one there to help anyone.

I didn't realize that Kayak booked through expedia. I had two different confirmation numbers, so I thought I accidentally made two separate reservations. It wasn't as clear as I would have liked. But the price was great as was my experience with Hertz

The drop off experience was extremely stressful I wish we knew what the drop off process was Our drop off was at 9 am and you guys didn’t open until 12 When you guys did open at noon and I was explaining my frustration with the process the representative at the Tyler location in Texas the representative hanged up on me. I arrived at the airport, and the company was closed. I booked my rental three months ago; now I have to go to the open rental company and pay the going price. Air lines run 24 hours a day, and so should rental car companies at the airport.

Took 1.5 hrs to get a car, the customer service at the desk was moving at a snails pace and we were in the middle of the line. Could not imagine how long it took for the last person to get a car. Did not have the car we ordered and then was charge over $100 in fees when we dropped it off. I guess its a bunch of fees for doing business at the airport.

when arrived in New Orleans there was an estimated 1.5 hour wait. One person at desk and long line. Ended up cancelling and going with National. Will never use Dollar nor parent company Hertz. They don't give two shites about customer. That is obvious.

Found old groceries in the van... which is not the vehicle we rented. Stood with my family for 45 minutes waiting for them to find something and they brought out a van and said this or wait. Not sure how it was cleaned when there was a bag of food under the seat. Oh well. Won’t do it again.

Cons:

The vehicle was a new large suv that did not have any of the current safety systems and it did not have the XM radio turned on? For that rental price I would have thought that they would have included those items? Maybe next time?

Everything! The customer service in person at the counter and trying to call in was terrible! They didn’t have the type of vehicle we reserved or anything similar and was assured we could swap it out at our destination city which was a lie since the only branch was in New Orleans, two hours away from where we were at. I would NEVER use this service again after being hung up on for two hours when trying to correct the issue.

Signage was unclear so we had a hard time finding where to find pickup counter. Car also smelled strongly of cigarette smoke when we picked up. We had to drive with windows down most of first day because of the smell, while the temperatures were in the 90s.

The car would not start the very last day. I called avis and was put on an endless hold. The car eventually started and I immediately returned the car. Opon returning, the associate said the computer was down and to just leave the keys with her. I wish the car was as nice as the associate. The car has 37k miles on it and should be taken out of service. This was the worst car I ever rented from Avis.

Vehicle had not been cleaned when I picked it up. Something sticky had been spilled, like a soda, and it was on the passenger door and on parts of the dash, such as the radio and air controls. It was also dirty on the outside.

The low air pressure light was on and we asked about it and they said it was due to weather and a bad sensor. Completely false, it comes on when the pressure gets below 25 psi. We had to fill up 3 times in 4 days. They also said we were liable for any tire damage. So if the tire had blown out we would be on the hook for a new tire. When we called and told them it's not a bad sensor, they told us the front left tire leaks before we told them which tire it was. They again told us it was because of weather. Also, it's unlimited miles but they asked us not to drive to Pensacola from New Orleans. They also charged us a $400 deposit. We've never had more thst a $100 deposit. When we returned the car they said we got an upgrade and our money's worth because we drove 400 miles. I cannot believe they intentionally sent out a car with a known problem and lied about it. They tried to make us feel as though it was no big deal and that us dealing with their car issues is just the way it works. The worst car rental experience we've ever had. Will never rent from Ace or Nifty again.

I was in a hurry and made this reservation by accident (I’ve never used ACE before). I was thrown when there was no check-in desk in the car rental center but was able to get information from some other employees. There should be signage with instructions. However the driver and the owners were all very friendly and helpful. The car had a lot of damage but ran perfectly.

My flight was delayed 4 hours. Apparently they hold the car for 2 hours. They didn’t have another option. They also don’t tell you that they’re not located where the other rental cars are but you have to call them and then take a second shuttle after you arrive at the rental area. I’m all for small mom and pop businesses but in this case, it didn’t work for me. They were the cheapest but it makes sense since they’re the most inconvenient. I went with Alamo.
