We arrived to pick up the rental and they had no cars to give us

Cons:

I booked the car till Sunday and it was 189$ for 3 days. When I took it , Hertz told since they are closed on sunday, they will charge till Monday rethought i don't need car after sunday noon. They have drop box and still they will charge till Monday. This would have been informed earlier. I booked reservation for 189$ but have to pay more. If I drop in airport they told they will charge transfer fee. So no way I will get for the amount in the reciept

Pros:

The drop off was very simple and close to my home that I was able to walk home!

Cons:

I didn’t notice until after the drop off the molding on the rear driver door was extremely worn and I never utilized the back doors so it’s concerning that I could be held responsible for something I didn’t cause! I have taken photos in the event it’s addressed with me

The vehicle provided was the correct size but had no gas in it and was NOT cleaned at all. Seats were dirty and there was sand everywhere!

When I arrived on time on the date of my reservation, the rep at this Avis location said they didn't have the car I reserved. This trip, I was visiting my dad who was recovering from an extensive surgery and going to be staying home. So, I really didn't care what kind of car they gave me and I asked for anything they had available. The rep said they actually didn't have any cars available and he'd call me when "the fleet came in". What? No rental cars available with a reservation too? I called another Avis and they said they'd get back to me but never did. After a few hours, still not hearing back from either Avis, I called Enterprise. Not only did they have many cars available but they we're very professional and welcoming too. What a headache and waste of time especially after a couple long flights. The worst part was I lost time I could've been spending with my dad. I will never use Avis again.

Got there on Dec7th at 6Pm 🕕 my appointment time had to Uber over and was told they were closed had Uber back home to go back next day in am my trip was delayed due to picking up next day ended up spending my birthday on the road was not very happy with this experience !!How can you make appointments for a time your closed customer service wasn’t much help with AVIS

Pros:

I liked when this horrible ordeal was over...NEVER AGAIN. PLEASE DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE CROOKS!!!

Cons:

I booked online with Kayak and had two other adults present as we verified the pickup/drop-off locations, amount, etc. I then received a confirmation email. The email had the wrong drop off location. I started by calling the pick-up location and learned that they had NO vehicles at that location. I then had to run to two other locations including the Atlanta airport and a hotel in downtown Atlanta to finally a get a car, but not what I rented. They also tried to turn the $255 rental into an over $1000 rental. Interestingly, I booked this with Kayak, the paperwork confirmation email said Expedia, and the car was of course, from AVIS....and each of these crooks tried to blame the other and did nothing to remedy this complete failure on their part. Two different counter clerks said that they hear this all the time as the online booking companies over-book available inventory. Classic "Bait and Switch" deceptive business practices. They simply left all the burden on the shoulders of the consumer. Complete circus.
