I had to wait an hour because of limited rental cars, but it all worked out. They gave me a great rate and a fuel allowance. It pays to be nice and understanding when employees are just trying to make due with what they have.

Overall experience was fine. $300 deposit was added to the account which would be fine, but no one ever said anything about this during the rental process. Communication could have been a lot better.

Passenger van

I reserved a 15-passenger van for travel with a large group. 2 Days before they sent an email to an old email address linked to my account, not the one linked to my Enterprise customer account. They did not try to call or send to my other account. Of course, I missed it. When I arrived, they informed me that my van was not going to be available. They said no vans were available any where within two hours of driving. I made my reservation more than a month before our trip, and two days before they trip they tried, but failed, to reach me. I am extremely dissatisfied with my reservation and will never user Enterprise or Kayak again if I can help it. What is the point of making a reservation if they can just change on you at the last minute. This change nearly ruined our trip that we had spent 9-months planning and thousands of dollars on.

Rental was actually conducted remotely and the agent's Internet connection kept dropping. I was forced to sign and initial a document I couldn't see so I had no idea what I was signing. I wasn't told that foreign third-party liability insurance was not acceptable so I was forced to pay even more for the rental so there was no real savings from the alternatives. The pickup point at the airport was not clearly described so I wasted time waiting in the wrong location.

Very bad rental company I never had the opportunity to rent the car because of their bylaws which was I had no way of knowing. I will never use this company again. In fact I will never use kayak again because you recommended them to me.

My flight from Chicago to Charlotte experience a 4 hour delayed due to storms and the closing of the airport in CLT (temporarily). By the time I landed in Charlotte, CarWiz was closed. I called and called and all I got was a recording stating the office is closed till next morning. I had to scramble and get a car at an astronomical price. I am NOT PAYING for anything with carWiz and I better not get charge for anything regarding this disaster of an experience.

After inquiring about discounts for activity military, I was told they had none. A week later they presented me an offer for $380 for 14 days which was about half of what they told me the week prior. Then when I went to go pick it up, they added an additional 390 in different fees. I don’t know if they try hoodwink everybody or just people in the military…

The car was clean and reliable, and the shuttle driver, who took me to back to the airport, was great. Otherwise, I would never recommend this rental company. My reservation was nonrefundable, which was fine, except for the fact that the agent, who checked me in, told me that I had to purchase their liability insurance because they didn’t “accept insurance from my insurance company” but that he would accept it for comp/collision coverage. Instead of losing the $190 I had already paid, I went ahead and purchased the liability insurance, for an additional $150. I then called my insurance agent, who assured me that my liability insurance would cover any rental car, in the US. I have attempted to have the $150 refunded to me, but have had a very difficult time reaching anyone who seems to be able to address the issue. Overall, I was very disappointed in the sneaky and unscrupulous practices this company employs.

I had a long wait at the check in to pick up the car. Their internet was down. This was not their fault, and the lady worked very hard to move the check in line. Once I got my car I could tell it had been smoked in before me. It also had fairly high mileage at 51,000 miles. It was a good value and experience. I would certainly use Dollar Rental Car again.

After prepaying for the vehicle, when I arrived at the counter they didn't have any vehicle for me. I had to wait from 9:30 PM to midnight to finally receive an electric vehicle from Hertz (not Dollar which I rented from), and it was a very small vehicle. With two toddlers' car seats, a double stroller, and luggage, this Chevy Bolt was not the vehicle to do the job. I had paid for a full size vehicle. Needless to say, I had to call a friend for help as this vehicle was useless to us. When I contact them the next day they wouldn't answer the phone after several attempts.

They had a video agent constantly trying to get me to pay extra for various things in a forceful way. On the return, the shuttle would not leave for 30 minutes even though they kept telling us 5-10. Will not use again.

The rental process and the rental car itself were very smooth and a positive experience. The shuttle return to the airport after dropping off the car was quite stressful as it delayed us by 30-40 minutes when the return agent had told us to expect 10 minutes.

NU Car accepted a reservation that was outside their business hours. Their business hours were never communicated at any time. They never answered their phone or sent a shuttle. They are off site if the Charlotte airport in a shopping center. Upon arrival there in a cab, it also appeared that they had no cars. Absolutely avoid this entity.

I have no idea why Kayak would support this company and have them as an option. Do they not listen to their customers ? Look at the reviews. They scam you into $50 extra dollars a day with fake car insurance. Not only did I buy the extra insurance and also have my credit card that covers rental car insurance they add on fake “collision” insurance that’s extra on top of the 2 other insurances I already have.
