Friendly staff. Comfortable and quiet room. Very clean. Excellent buffet breakfast. Good location just outside city walls and five minutes walk from the station.
The breakfast, and being able to borrow bikes for free
The staff were very helpful and friendly would have liked a hot breakfast
Great location. The staff was very nice and informative. We'd stay there again.
the staff and room were very good
Very nice staff, excellent breakfast in a lovely room. Although not applicable to us, ease of access with a car was a plus.
great location to the walled city breakfast was awful, room very small
Friendly personnel, good breakfast, good location, value for money, good and friendly service, free parking
The staff were very friendly and helpful
I liked the short walk to the city center to where most of the restaurants were. It was also nice to have free parking at the hotel.
Easy to reach. Good parking facilities. Acceptable walking distance to city center. Some (acceptabel!!) noise from the nearby roads and the Mac Donalds drive in.
Location close to the city
It's located on a main junction but you do not hear the road It has a very good variety in breakfast A card that is also the key to the room operates electricity If one of 2 persons is out with it the other in the room is left in the dark
Very clean and comfortable rooms Very bad neighbor hood when u walk to downtown. I felt so lucky when I get to the hotel safely.
Clean and modern hotel few kms from old centre of Lucca. Very convenient if you are with a car because there are parking facilities and it is close to the Autostrada.Good room and good breakfast
The reception staff were excellent, the room was great and the breakfast was excellent. I found it difficult to find the hotel because the sign is difficult to read froma distance.
the price is perfect and the hotel is very nice , free parking , good breakfast
great value for money. helpful staff. lovely rooms. outside the town walls but only a couple of minutes in a taxi.
Excellent reception staff. Comfortable bed. Very poor breakfast. Thin ersatz juice; hot drinks from a machine; stale croissant. I understand that Italians are not very interested in breakfast but most of those having breakfast were Northern Europeans.Have a smaller choice of top quality food. No adult I know eats coco pops or. Having stale croissants is unforgivable. Satsumas are in season and excellent, why not offer those? One person went up and down the food area, I imagine desperately trying to find something tasty. She settled for a glass of water and a piece of fruit. The previous night we'd stayed in a B&B in Siena and they managed to serve an excellent breakfast. We got a knock down price for the room but had we paid the displayed prices we would have been very un
best room, bathroom & breakfast. you can take lazzi bus near the hotel direct to piza.
Excellent location within the walls of Lucca and on-site free parking. Afternoon "snacks" and drinks in the lobby. Helpful staff. Comfortable rooms. Mediocre breakfast (good pastries but cold eggs, mediocre buffet and poor coffee!)
The Staff was very helpful. The 24 hour free refreshment bar was an excellant touch. The location was excellent for walking in the walls of Lucca. Free bikes to ride around town were fun to use.
The friendly staff and self service food and drink facilities
The Hotel Ilaria was lovely, and our family of four had absolutely no complaints. Our two rooms were clean and exceptionally appointed, and one was accessible to a lovely private patio available to rooms on the same side of the hall. Although it was hot (July), the air conditioning system worked flawlessly in both rooms. The breakfast buffet, which was served in a lovely canopied sunroom, included an extensive selection of both hot and cold foods, breads, juices, fresh fruits and meats. Every single staff member we encountered was helpful and friendly, and the front desk staff member recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner (and kindly made reservations for us) on our first night in Lucca. Since parking is at a premium within walls of Lucca, the fact that this hotel could offer an onsite parking space for our car was a key benefit. We would recommend the Hotel Ilaria highly and would choose it again when visiting Lucca. Not at all.
Poor breakfast room - badly arranged tables. People queueing to get a table. Constant noise of running water next to Room 3.
Please write at least 15 words. O like to stay here and I will come with family in the future. Also I will inform my friends The business centre need to be provided. I really need this facility including computers and internets
The staff at reception were exceptionally helpful. And the location was fabulous.
the staff were great made effort to solve problems when they could. great location good breakfast to start the day. great ambience when we were there the weather perfect beautiful greenery fun to have a glass of wine before venturing out don't get assigned to room101 because you will be up at 5:30 while they are in the process of preparing your breakfast. the clients should be a little more careful when leaving the rooms door slamming can be irritating
Very comfortable - central within old town of Lucca - easy to get to by car - hotel parking
Convenient to all the major sights and restaurants within easy walking distance. We walked too and from the train station...although easier to go to the station than initially to the hotel. You will have to carry bags up the rampart on going, but all down hill on departure. The hotel staff was most helpful, made several dinner reservations and we were always greeted with a smile and good day. The morning breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day of sightseeing with a hearty breakfast. Nothing and I would book once again during future visits to Lucca.
It was quiet, comfortable and close to the city centre and railway station One morning the breakfast buffet had been depleted by a large group and even though it was open for another 1.5 hours there was little effort to replenish it and the selection available was poor.
The amazing views from the garden. No.
Central location; room very nicely furnished and lovely amenities, room very quiet Front desk personnel
Qualiy of breakfeast is low and not up to international standards. (once no meat or cheese, only dolci; butter was missing; eggs only supplementory) For transfer to opera one had only the expensive (170 €) solution instead of the usual (50€)
Excellent location in the old city.
Location Very bad breakfast
Excellent situation, friendly staff, very clean and well run hotel. Our suite had all modern technology but still in style with the age of the hotel We liked everything about the hotel and would recommend it
Everything--it was lovely and impeccably clean--The staff service was superb. My son thought the included breakfast could have been more ample and varied.
Great service, updated accomodations in a historic atmosphere
location and quiet no bath tub
Very comfortable, nice and helpful staff, good restaurant, clean, good location
The building facilities No international TV.No CNN available
Thr grounds & hotel are beautiful but you really need a car to get around (we did not). The air conditioning did not work and they made a minor adjustment in consideration
The room was bright, large and very well done. It had been a Relais Chataux and you can see why. The enterance to the hotel was on a very busy two lane road. Traffic moved very fast. Exiting was a nightmare. Blind spots in both directions. Very dangerous.
The staff were very pleasing and could not do enough for you .The location excellent , you would need a car . There were some problems with the AC systems . and for me badley designed bathrooms .great for Italians but not for man size Americans .
Wonderful accomodation, attantive personnel and cosy atmosphere. This hotel is one of the best i've ever stayed. The rooms are romantic and beautiful, perfectly cleaned up every day. The restaurant is not so expensive but the food was delicious. We didn't need to go to eat out anywhere. All in all everything was perfect.
The offer of tea as it was raining outside. Their restaurant was closed for the season so I was captive without a car and 7 miles outside of the closest town, so it was great to have tea and it was complimentary. Since we had no car and weren't told that there was no restaurant open, the wonderful caretaker servedmy husband and I some cold cuts, cheese, and wine in the cozy sitting room as a substitute for a real dinner. It was actually quite pleasant and it was warm and antiquey in the sitting room. The shower head and the water pressure made the hot shower really enjoyable. The websiste did not state that the restaurant was closed from November 1 to March 1 so we had no meal options. The taxi from Lucca to Locanda L'Elisa was expensive, and we certainly didn't want to spend it again two times that night to go into town to have a dinner. Also the bed was the worst for comfort I have ever slept in. It was hard as a rock. The room was so elegant, the the furnishing so castle like, that I expected a nice bed like the "Heavenly Bed" at the Excelsior in Florence where we stayed for four nights prior to coming to Lucca and Locanda L'Elisa Hotel. There was also a dead cockroach in the fabric which upholstered the ceiling in the bathroom. Bad lighting - no bulb above sink. No light for reading in the sitting room.
Very peaceful atmosphere, the pool and garden were very nice. Did not notice the motorway across the wall. The food at the restaurant was very expensive. Quality justified a certain price level, but maybe not this high.
The staff were curteous and helpful. Lovely country house in an excellent situation about 5mins from walled city of Lucca. We were upgraded to a junior suite on arrival which was lovely.Only downside was that beds were very hard and the garden could have done with a bit of a pruniing!
Staff were very helpful especailly a man called Ronnie. rooms very comfortable and bathroom had plenty of extras poor choice at breakfast
It was one of the most delightful hotels that I have ever stayed at. The country setting, the subtle landscaping of the hotel grounds with the variety of trees and flowers and the relaxed arrangments at the pool, were all very agreeable. The staff were both welcoming and friendly and did everything they could to anticipate any need. On one evening when my dinner arrangements fell through, they russled up a pizza out of nowhere, late in the evening. When I left, very early on the last day, they spontaneously arranged a simple breakfast. I love to see good professionals at work and I couldn't help but think, that if your Manager engaged himself in training the staff at other hotels, the Hotel Industry would improve one thousandfold. Thanks One difficulty I experienced was the signposting of the entrance. On two occasions, on the busy S12, when a quick decision to turn was needed, I turned into the drive just north of the hotel entrance. A Big, well-located sign, would be both useful and safer.
central location, good room rate no view - room 305 looked onto an enclosed air well/vent but the rate was a good one so not too bothered
From the greeting at the front desk to the cleanliness of our room everything was excellent
Convenient to the railway station, shopping centre and main attractions.
The location of the hotel was very good, we were near the main train station and the restaurants and bars. The room was functional for our needs. The hotel advertised a shuttle bus to the airport however none exists, this was one of the reasons we chose the hotel. The receptionist was quite rude on check when we asked about the shuttle service.
The location was good. Walking distance from everything important. Nothing, was pleased with service.
Not too far away from all the sights, pleasant and helpful staff and extremely clean rooms, very good breakfast buffet. No evening dining room.
Helpful and knowledgeable staff - we asked about places to eat and were directed to a superb pizzeria around the corner No.
I liked the friendliness of the staff as well as the central location and value for money. Nothing!
The hotel is of a very high standard in terms of design, comfort and guest services. It is very conveniently located very close to both the airport, main train station and city center. The breakfast is extensive with many items of gourmet quality. The staff are friendly and professional and I highly recommend this hotel in Pisa.
Attractive decor - reception/help
Good location. Good value for the money. Don't bother with the breakfast if it is not included in your reservation. It is not worth the price.
This is a good hotel if you want something in a great location with no frills. Very simple, clean and nothing special. The breakfast was a lot better than I thought it would be. Rooms were simple, small and clean. The bathroom was nice and good sized.
Great Breakfast, free parking at the hotel and close enough to walk to Pisa Tower Bed was *very* hard compared to the other dozen or so hotels we stayed in while in Italy
Very relaxed, friendly staff, will recomed to our friends in the UK.
The staff where excellent the food and service fatastic The gps took me to a concrete wall and underpass that was late at night and raining may be better to give more directions but stakk provided support and help
The location is quiet, close to the leaning tower of Pisa. If you want to stay in the hotel and relax for a extended vacation, this is the hotel you should choose. There is no iron in the room which is quite unexpected for a 4 star hotel. They have iron in a common place but the location is not convenient. If you want to extend your stay , you should inform them earlier. The staff don't seem to be interested to extend 1 night after 10 nights stay.
Staff very helpful and convenient to Tower and railway station via a short can ride.
Air conditioning was nice. Good location. Friendly staff. The WiFi was terrible. Bad coffee for breakfast.
Most staff were friendly and spoke good English
Efficient service, very clean, adequate comfort, very good choice at breakfast in nice airy dining room. Good location if you don;t mind walking a bit , quiet at night. Hotel seemed to attract considerate guests. Definately good value for money just don't use the mini bar.
The staff were extremely helpful and the hotel was ideally located for sightseeing, with just a short walk to the Leaning Tower.
Location (quiet), hotel staff, cleanliness of our room, private parking area. No free internet.
Nice staff and they were very helpful. The Breakfast was good compared to most Italian hotel breakfasts, actually my wife stated that the croissants were the best she had ever had. Sky channels were a plus and a 10 minute walk to the leaning tower. The shuttle for 10 Euro is actually a good bargain versus a taxi to/from the airport. Easy to take a bus for 1 Euro to the train station to Florence and the train is 12 Euro from Pisa to Florence round trip. We had a nice trip. The beds were very hard. We were not impressed with their dinner menu and would recommend eating dinner outside of the hotel compared to other places we have visited. Not much around the hotel and the little market shop around the corner closes fairly early, so buy what you need early.
Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel very clean and offered modern facilities Service in dining room was rather slow with a rather surly head waiter
Location, the building - an old and beautiful old villa -, the park around - huge and pleanty of plants, the pool, the furniture inside .... everything, except one. Good food for dinner but not so many to order, good selection of wines - try the rose one - excelent deserts like ice-creme (one of the best ever eaten) and the chocolate trilogy. And do not forget the Schropini ... or ... whatever ... a mix of votka, lemon, ice cream and mint ... hmmmm, excelent. Breakfast it is a disaster !!!... we stayed 12 days and we had the same breakfast each and every day. No vegetables at all, no fresh cheese, the fruits not so fresh, take care on some aliments like packed pecorino cheese or pinaple compot which were almost not recommendable to be served. Ordinary round pie / cakes bought from supermarket ... everythink packed like an ordinar 2 stars tranzit hotel. Definetly the breakfast is not in line with the status of location. Oh, do not forget, I would not reccomend to anybody even to try once the scrumbled eggs prepared each and every day!
We were warmly welcomed by staff and management on our arrival, and from that day on, until our departure, service at all times (1.30pm on one occasion) was excellent - at Reception, in the Restaurant, by the Pool, on the Terrace or in the Drawing Room/Lounge (a really spacious beautiful room), there was always an attentive and considerate member of the hotel's team we could call on. It was not our first visit to Tuscany but our first to Lucca and the Puccini Festival, and Villa La Principessa was just a great place for us and contributed hugely to a truly memorable visit. We would certainly stay there again on any future visit to Lucca.
The hotel was wonderful...location , staff ..the overall facility was a real treasure . We used it as a base for 3 days and will return. Everything was good
Fabulous location near wonderful Lucca and nearby Tuscan areas, including the coast, but in a beautiful, park-like setting with all the quiet, peacefulness and luxury of a country estate. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful, very engaging. The accomodations, from our room to the bar in the afternoon, to breakfast each moerning, were flawless.
I enjoyed the beautiful view offered by this villa nd the fact that it was quiet The heating system was a disaster. Only the bathroom and the halls were heated. I do not recommend thsi villa for automn and winter.
We liked the location of the Villa, it wasn't too close to the busy towns and noisy roads and because we had a car, it was easy to reach Lucca and Pisa. The restaurant has a wonderful dinner menu, we enjoyed it so much, we decided to eat at the Villa both nights rather than going out for dinner.
In the two weeks we spent in italy, this Hotel was the best! The charm and luxury of this hotel will bring us back. Wonderful breakfast!
superb breakfast and excellent English-speaking staff
The recently redone rooms were artistically painted and were absolutely beautiful! Breakfast was abundant and delicious. The Via Degli Angeli, once we were able to find it, was charming and convenient to the heart of Lucca. The staff could not have been more helpful and considerate! I would have prefered free access to the internet, as there was a charge.
Room was a nice size with a uniquely painted walls. Bathrom had a large whirlpool tub, a rare treat in Italy. Breakfast contained many options and was nicely set out. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Stayed an extra day than we initially intended because of the hotel and to have more time in the charming town of Lucca.
The frescos on the ceilings and walls of the hotel are charming. The receptionists were all very helpful. It is well placed for the main shopping area of the walled town of Lucca but in a side street so quiet bearing in mind the central location. They have use of a car park opposite the hotel which is very handy but I would imagine places are limited in high season. Very little to criticise - nit picking, there was a strong aroma on the corridor outside our room which I think was an air freshner of some description which I found unpleasant. Our room had a shower over the bath rather than a separate cubicle which I would have preferred.
Staff was particularly helpful, especially with restaurant recommendations. None.
persoal service and individual decor
Nice helpfull staff. Great location, very convenient. Better directions for getting to hotel by car. Tea pots and better access to hot water for tea at breakfast.
the hotel was very clean ,the staff charming and helpful, the breakfast most enjoyable,a most pleasant stay, the staff are to be complimented.
The location in Lucca is great and our room was large and most comfortable with a huge bathroom with jacuzzi, and very comfortable bed. The breakfasts were delicious and the front desk staff very pleasant and helpful. We would most certainly return to this hotel and will recommend it highly to friends.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is very central. The bathroom was huge, which is almost unheard of in Italy. Breakfast was also very comprehensive. My room had the promised view over the roofs of Lucca, which boiled down to broken tiles and nearby houses back doors and windows
The staff waw very helpful and friendly. They made our stay in Lucca a wonderful experience.
Mario the business owner was beyond friendly, efficient and informative. Breakfasts were feasts of hot and cold food well beyond the usual continental breakfast. An elevator was also a welcome surprise in this old palazzo.
There was a traditional feel to the room and the staff were always most helpful with any queries. Breakfast in the breakfast room was also very pleasant. There were a couple of minor points about the room that needed attention - eg some of the parquetry floor was lifting which could catch your feet.
The warmth of the welcome we recieved on arrival. the cleanliness of the hotel, it had been refurbished to the highest of standards. nothing was to much trouble for the staff, we loved our stay.we have told all our friends and family about this first class hotel and showed them all the brochure. we will definately be back. no
The location is close to restraunts and shopping. It is quite a walk from the train station. Take a cab. The electricity and plumbing are old and don't work well. It was extremely hot and too loud to sleep with the window open. They said we couldn't turn on the air conditioning and didn't offer a fan. We were up all night hearing the people above us. The complimentary breakfast gave us food poisoning.
Location is ideal for exploring Lucca-close to historic centre, restaurants, etc., but in a quiet street away from noise. Staff are excellent- called different restaurants to arrange for dinner reservations tho I had left it too late- going out of their way to deal with requests. Hotel is charming, breakfast is substantial. I was in a single room that was for disabled guests and had some features in the bathroom that were inconvenent- no self-contained shower stall-only a tiled area next to the toilet- that made for a wet floor. wheelchair users would appreciate this but i didn't. No towel racks either-maid used the hand rail for the toilet to hang towels. These are minor issues that can be easily rectified.
Quiet location. Charming proprietors.Well fitted out
Location excellent for pondering around Lucca (and getting lost!!!)which was all part of the fun. we were in a very warm room - the manager moved us as soon as we told him. The staff could not have been more helpful, with travel information and booking restaurants. Always had time to help. We enjoyed our stay Lucca is lovely. ( we are two mature couples ) Also the wine is wonderful and we tried some very good bottles, dining also very good, with a wide choice of restaurants. We would go back . Breakfast was average - but acceptable.
We found the staff friendly and helpful directing us to several good restaurants, the room was very comfortable and breakfast excellent.
Attentive and very polite staff plus the sensibly long hours for breakfast. The location meant we could reach all parts easily but not have a lot of noise In an ideal world would have liked larger bathroom and wider single beds
We had an overnight stay at this hotel.Very helpful staff.Central location.Very good breakfast.Would stay here again.
Beautiful & snug hotel situated in the centre, very helpful staff! Lack of inside isolation, you can hear guests next door whispering.
The fact that we can open the windows Uncommon for Italy hotel, carpet on the floor in the room instead of tiles.
It was a little further from Lucca center than I expected. There was nothing else nearby, unless you drove there (ie; restaurants).
Very nice hotel - stayed here 2 days. Good staff - rooms very nice. Great showers -
Very good average hotel
All staff extremely helpful and very good service.
location: very near to city centre yet spacious grounds;very cimfortable room; extremely courteous staff nothing
How it is green friendly Front desk staff and manager
Very hospitable staff, clean and newly refurbished rooms. Excellent for travellers with own car close to Lucca and other palces to visit.
Suite ws v. good. Description said it was on ramparts of Lucca - it was 3 miles away from ramparts. No coffee/tea in room.
It is a good class hotel of international standard. Very comfortable bed, clean room, good and friendly staff. I stayed 1 night on the way to Piza and would stay again.
Staff is friendly and helpfull. Our rooms were large and confortable. Although the rooms are quite comfortable and well equiped their decoration is somewhat gloomy.
Friendly, welcoming staff. Good service. Conveniently situated within easy walking distance of Old Town. Good parking on site.
staff. room . location.
The breakfast was excelent.Great choice of food, from hardboiled eggs to cappucino to fruit and granola. The hotel is not 500 meters to the center as advertised .It is a long walk from the train station(15 minutes or more in a deserted area behind the train area esp when you don't know the surroundings and schlepping bags )No phone in room,in case of emergency.Front desk reluctant to give us a nonsmoking room at first ,then they checked for availability and we got the non smoking room.In a contininent of smokers ,I was surprised there woud not be non smoking available. Most of their guests were European.Very noisy at night, next to a busy main road.
Friendly welcome, car parking and easy walk into town
It was difficult to reach the city with a buggy, no footpath. You either had to cross the very congested circonvallazione or go through an area with no footpaths..it was extremely dangerous.
The friendly and superb service of the hotel staff. This exceeded all our expectations. Parking was excellent, and walking access into town and station was easy once the route was shown. We even obtained 10% discount at two superb nearby restaurants thanks to the staff.
Really a nice inexpensive hotel, but close in to Lucca Not really
proximity to city center, and to motorway, although busy road was noisy all day. busy road
5 min (by car) to city center. Modern and up to date looking. Spacious room. Good free parking. Free internet was very welcome. (You will need to bring along your own laptop though)
The hotel staff were particualrly friendly and seemed to go out of their way to be helpful. No
This hotel is easy to find with a car not far from Luca and a verry good hotel. a verry pleasant stay.Verry nice people.
Warm and friendly place with a very enthousiastic crew. Service was top notch and with the right attitude. Close to very charming Lucca. Breakfast impeccable. Nice classical villa in "manicured" garden
Villa Marta was a very relaxing place to stay and we would have no hesitation in recommending it. The Service, food and accomodation were all great. The location is also very good. Although it is in the country side it only takes 15 -20 minutes to get to either Pisa or Lucca.
Charming place, nice rooms, very cordial staff, great location. Very good value.
The location was great, just 10 min drive from Lucca. The surroundings are amazing and the house itself is very nice. Extremely good value for money deal!
Lovely Villa with a nice view The bed mattress was very hard (firm)
Attention by the owners
The elegance of the accommodation / surroundings and the professionalism of the staff.
Spacious, light & clean rooms, friendly staff, excellent continental breakfasts, good value and would definitely recommend it. The single lane side road leading to the hotel from the main road was very narrow and on several occasions had to negotiate reversing manoeuvres in the dark with deep ditches either side - as this had nothing to do with the hotel it did not spoil our stay but thought it was worth mentioning.
A very welcoming hotel and very close to the centre of Lucca
Villa had large comfortable rooms and was spotlessly clean No
Good location and lovelly old style villa.
Villa Agnese offered me a bike to use during my stay in Lucca. This was especially helpful because the only way to see Lucca's historic center is by bike...its not mandatory but it is fantastic. The only thing I did not like is that the garden has no flowers. It is a back yard surrounded by trees....it should not be listed as a garden. but other than than it was nice.
Hotel was spotless. Lovely backyard, although it was too cool to use. (1) There is no lift. (2) Also claimed to be across the street from an entrance into the walled city. However, this entrance was dark and uncomfortable to use and felt we had to use the main entrance which was some distance away. (3) Breakfast was less ample than other hotels in Italy.
the stay was great especially breakfast outside in the garden.
Clean rooms, friendly staff, great proximity to train station and airport! 0
I stayed for business so the location was great that it was in front of the train station. Mini-bar was really expensive and you need to pay for internet. The hotel would be even better if these prices can be cheaper.
The housekeeping was very good with rooms made up quickly and efficiently.Housekeeping and restaurant staff were very helpful I felt reception could have been more friendly
nice rooms, clean, friendly and professional staff no
Very Good location to see the local sites
central location, breakfast ok, service ok aircondition at the room was out of order
The room was very clean and had good air conditioning, and the room was very quiet and comfortable.
I liked the fact that it is value for money, breakfast was excellent and it was right infront of the train station. the water was sometimes a little bit cold
Location (for the station), very good breakfast - especially the pastries! Slow desk service
The wellcome of the personnel & the parking facilities. The location. The cold water as hot water was not hot ..!!!
the room is very clean& the staff are very good welling to help all the time the reataurant doesn't offer much varity of food, but the hotel is good
Great location, superbly helpful staff who waited for us to arrive and gave restaurant recommendations and helpful advice, great breakfast, free parking, wifi and very clean rooms
We loved the walled town for walking on and found very nice shops bars and restaurant
Very friendly, The manager/owner was most helpful. I feel we got very good value for money and I will recommend this B&B to family and friends.
Nice clean hotel with good sized rooms, good facilities including free access to internet computer and friendly staff Nothing to dislike
The kindness of the staff, the location, really close to the city's walls, the excellent breakfast and the feelling that you really get to live Lucca's way of life, with its quiteness and peace.
Very nice and rich breakfast, while arriving late at night the room key and welcome letter was left...Very good location and free parking!!! Everything was excellent
location to town center
The position of the B&B is ideal for exploring Lucca on foot and is within walking distance of the Station. This B&B was great value for money. I would certainly go there again.
Great location, good breakfast and the receptionist (Diana?) was very nice and helpful. No elevator.
Our room was well furnished and beautifully decorated. The villa had its own car park.
There was a great breakfast that was included. Also a very large room, perfect for five people. It was a wooden futon structure bed and the wood panels kept falling out. It was a little uncomfortable.
its not too far out of town, quite an old property in pleasant grounds. Friendly informal staff I had booked two rooms but the self-catering apartment we were given was in a fairly run down state, in stark comparison with the public rooms quality of furniture fittings poor, filthy carpet. Shower was barely worked. Got the impression ours was the "runt" of the property - hope so!
it was comfortable and had all facilities we required, it was really well restored and lovely and quiet for a weekend getaway. Lucca very close by which had a host of sightseeing and fabulous resteraunts
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff - a delightful place! n/a
Location and facilities. Cleanliness - our room was very dusty (however it was very spacious and well fitted out).
Very nice place During all 4 days we had problems with the soure (very bad smell in the apartment). The staff tried to solve the problem but witjout succes. Therefor we got a small discount.
The bike rental and the very helpful staff!
Design, location, peaceful and relaxing. Lucca beautiful. Breakfast not too good.
Excellent staff, very friendly, very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Hotel very clean throughout. As the road is used as a short cut, the rush hour traffic passes very close to the front of the hotel. Not a problem at any other time.
freindly staff and easy walking distance into centre
Fantastic hotel, excellent staff and great location. Lucca is easy to explore on foot from here.
The front office manager (during the day) - was exceptionally friendly and helpful - He upgraded us to a luxury room when we checked in, and was always very ready and willing to help with any questions we had during our stay. The room was beautifully decorated , large and comfortable. Well situated hotel - close to bus stops . Private parking was very useful .
The hotel is in a very good location in Lucca. Very close to the best restaurants and an easy walk to the main shopping street. Access is easy by car, however there is limited parking in the hotel car park. There is other parking within close distance. The breakfasts are very good. The lack of a restaurant in the hotel for lunch or evening meals is understandable given its proximity to numerous eating places. The hotel does however have a nice bar and also a small area outside for drinks during the day and evening. Lucca is a good base to stay for exploring the northern half of Tuscany and has many attractions of its own. No, everything was good.
No need to look any further this is Italy at its best. Huge rooms with beautiful furniture and the staff are really attentive withouit being obtrusive. The manager personally thanked us at the end of our stay and the breakfast delivered to the room was fabulous. The restaurant recomedations were super.
Beautiful rooms, ideal location, very friendly helpful staff, excellent buffet breakfast. Complete luxury! Impossible to find fault with San Luca Palace.
- Very nice and newly renovated. Comfotable and everything works! - Very nice breakfast and eating it outside was nice too. - Easy to get to and easy access to Lucca. - Friendly helpful staff. - It would be nice if there was always someone to check you in, or to answer questions. but it never turned out to be a problem. - Directions seemed confusing, but we had a map and knew where we wanted to end up. - Lucca and train station are both easy to get to, but are further than the Hotel says they are.
Clean, good shower, conveniently situated for station and city. Breakfast, although very nicely presented had to be organised the day before. This may not suit everyone and it was a bit on the expensive side.
Mirium, the hotel manager was fantastic. She was really helpful and even helped us make reservations for dinner and helped us book a hotel in Siena. The room we had was more like a small flat! It felt very private. It was beautifully decorated, very comfortable and the bathroom was amazing! The remote controlled air conditioning in the room was brilliant. The terrace where we have breakfast was also nice. It was only a ten minute walk from the railway station and the city wall which was also very handy.
The staff was especially considerate and helpful. I absentmindedly left my jacket in the room when I departed and Miriam was so exceptionally kind as to forward it for me to my next hotel! Thank you so much Miriam!
very pleasant. has a nice terrace for breakfast and just reading and relaxing.
design of rooms noise of the road near hotel
The kind staff, short walk to Lucca city, the interior design. Nothing at all
An excellent and very enjoyable stay. Owner was extremely helpful and friendly. Comfortable and very clean. hotel. Highly recommend it for overnight stay or a week + stay.
The quality of the accommodation was excellent and the hospitallity of both Miriam and Jesus could not have been better. They were always available to offer advice on the area and provide any help they could. The continental breakfast served on the terrace ( or in your room, if required) was excellent any any extra teas requested at any time of day was not a problem. Although it did not spoil our 6 night stay, the noise from the traffic may cause a problem for some, especially if you have a room at the front of the property.
The staff was extremely friendly, the city was easy to reach without car. Our room was very clean and for us it was a great advantage that there was a coputer available for booking our next hotel. We are recommanding the hotel for anyone who wants to visit Lucca !
