The staff was so accommodating and helpful!
Pros. Cool rooftop bar, good nightly rates, friendly staff
Cons. Mattress could've been a bit softer
Pros. LOVE the quaintness of this Marriott. It is close to Broadway plays and Times Square. A nice bar with some food to "hold you over" and a lovely rooftop bar with glass ceiling - LOVELY view!
Pros. Room was small and clean and had all the amenities. Everyone was friendly and helpful; we felt very welcomed and appreciated as guests . Definitely will stay at the hotel in future trips to NYC. P.S.Go up to the roof top bar for a drink and the view.
Pros. The hotel has been nicely renovated and rooms was average size for Nyc. The staff is very accommodating and truly enjoy what they do. The rooftop bar with views of the Empire State Building is very nice! My wife commented that this was the first time she has slept well in New York.
Cons. I got a special rate, but the normal price can be a bit high for some. Murphy bed was interesting but this hotel had nothing that would stop me from recommending it!!! Loved it!
Pros. The location is not bad--on 37th st between 5th and 6th. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The wifi was good. They had free coffee in the morning.
Cons. I can not recommend this hotel. There are so many issues. The room was unbelievably tiny with no space for a table, i.e. no place to make or drinnk coffee. The only way to use a computer is to put it on your lap and sit on the bed. There is construction going on everywhere, with noise and dust, and one of the two elevators is out of use for hotel guests. I had a room in the back. It was quiet but had a depressing view of rundown buildings and garbage.
Pros. The staff were wonderful. Our room was quite nice and more spacious than we expected. Apparently the room had just completed renovation and was approved for occupancy the day before we checked in. The rooftop bar is very attractive, with a fabulous view of the Empire State Building.
Cons. The renovations that are in progress are a real nuisance. The restaurant and the fitness center are closed for renovations. During the day, and sometimes in the evening, only one of the two elevators is available for guest use. That was very frustrating. More than once we took the stairs, both from and to our 8th floor room, because of the miserable wait for the elevator to arrive.
Pros. The restaurant was nice. The location is good.
Cons. The room had a nice view over the Empire States but it had too much noise from the street. The complimentary kits of the bathroom was too poor.
Pros. You can ear a lot of noise fron the streat
Pros. Roof Top Bar, location
Cons. Expensive, small room, mattress made loud noises getting in and out of bed. No room service, no food except after 6PM.
