Cons:The office wasn't open at the time I needed to drop off the car and when I tried to call the location to confirm the car had been checked in on time there was no answer!

Cons:I reserved the car and was scheduled to pick it up at 8PM. I showed up a little bit late, and I assume this would be no problem, because the Oakland Airport Rental Car Center is open 24 hours a day. When I got to the car rental center, no one was at the Payless desk, and another lady told me that Payless closes at 8PM. So why would I be allowed to reserve a car for pickup at the time that the desk closes? So anyway, I had to change my trip plans because I had no rental car.

Cons:Condition of the car. Visible damage to the car. Drives rough and drink alot of gas for a 4 cylendar vehicle. Not worth saving a dollar a day compared to other car rental companies.

Pros:The location at the Oakland Airport rental car facility was convenient for pick-up and drop off.
Cons:Payless charged me $20 more than the advertised rate on Kayak upon pick-up, and then $100 more was charged to my credit card, with no justification. My rental ended up costing 3 times the amount advertised on this site. Do not believe the low prices listed on Kayak! Payless is a scam, pure and simple.

Cons:When I arrived at 930 they'd gone home early-- booth was locked and lights out. I had to scramble to get a car from another company, paying a higher price. What made it especially awful was that my kid was sick and needed to get to doctor. I won't book Payless again
