Closeness to everything, being right next to Christmas all year round, clean, easy to get to, easy left turn due to traffic light placement, on the water, storage in room/size of room, being able to change shower from rain to massage/multiple setting shower head, hot shower, good breakfast No ventilation in bathroom, no variety in breakfast (same stuff served every day)
I have stayed in a lot of hotels and am fairly picky. I read the reviews and look at the pictures online. Econolodge exceeded my expectations in every way. Better than some Clarions I have stayed in, for half the price. Beautiful facility, very well maintained. Pretty lobby, excellent breakfast area and I loved the food. Small room but very comfortable, nice decor and everything very clean. A fridge and microwave and coffee maker. Nice flat screen TV and many channels. Pleasant courtyard outside our room. A pretty river next to the rear parking lot. Very friendly staff. Location is right in the middle of Pigeon Forge strip, next door to Christmas Place. Can't recommend this hotel highly enough!
Great place to stay. We will definitely be back!
I liked the location and the pool The staff was extremely rude and the rooms don't get cleaned after each person.
Very good breakfast, location and service.
Nice staff Rooms were old. Semi dirty. Only had one towel. For under 100 a night not bad.
Rooms were clean and I had no issues. Exercise room was terrible. Had cheap and broken equipment.
The room was very clean and alots of room. The breakfast was good. We ate there every morning. When we where in our room you could here alots of noise from the hallway. The bed was too hard !
Lee had a very nice stay. Friendly staff. Clean comfortable room. Great value for money. Only issue was the noise. Walls are, thin, so we could hear a lot of noise from next room and from, hall
The continental breakfast was very good with a wide selection of eggs, toast, make your own waffles, hot & cold cereal, muffins, 3 types of juices, fruit, and more. The hotel was conveniently located to many attractions and restaurants. We had trouble finding three working outlets to plug our phones and fit bits. The hotel had a small indoor pool but did not advertise it that way.
Had a noise from outside room that we were told was a maintenance something for the pool. Went on for an hour and we told the front desk about it. A maintenance person came up to see about it but said he could do nothing about it. It did stop but started again later but did not go on very long.
My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in the king suite with the whirlpool. It was a great value for the price and a great location (right in the middle of many Pigeon Forge attractions). There was plenty of parking and the front lobby receptionist was helpful and polite. The walls did seem to be thin as you could always hear anytime people were talking in the hallway. Still would stay again though!
Comfortable, clean and at a convenient location. Free wifi. Friendly staff! Breakfast was ok. But, for the price we didnt mind eating out.
Friendly staff, quick check in and check out, room was clean and comfortable, pool was great and clean, and the hotel is right in the middle of all the attractions. Overall very happy with our stay. Nothing negative to report.
The kids running up and down the halls late at night. Yelling and very noisy. Parents should exercise more control.
The stay was good - it was nothing exceptional, but the rooms were clean and staff was friendly. no issues
The beds were very comfortable, clean hotel, quiet. The breakfast was very nice a little above the standard continental breakfast. The bellhops at the front door was really cool
We've traveled and stayed at some really fine resorts, but, my wife felt this is the best because of the atmosphere (Christmas) and , the personnel. Very relaxing. Nice touches with coffee, cookies, and , Christmas trees.
Holiday atmosphere Toilet bowl was not clean
Everything loved all of it
> comfortable bed > clean room > no usable water pressure on fifth floor - shower was awful > water heat inconsistent > hotel had realtor classes tuesday & wednesday, the realtors completely overran the breakfast area and there was no room and very little food left for paying guests > internet was down 2 of our 6 days; when it was up, it was only about 300K - way to slow for useful work > The kitchen either had a fire or burned some bacon (depending on which staff member you asked) which made the entire hotel stink > the elevator is slooooooow and is used by the staff and does not default to the first floor, so plan time for waiting > the staff seemed sympathetic, but took no action on any complaint
The hotel was older than i thought a Holiday Inn Express should be. Initially the front desk clerk was arrogant. But another gentlemen stepped in and handled us after that. The beds were very bouncy, and the heat (it was cold) didn't work very well.
Clean rooms, friendly staff, convenient location to area attractions without lots of traffic noise, and excellent free breakfasts.
This hotel was a little less than I expected, after reading previous reviews before booking. It was obviously going through renovations, and the first room we were placed in had a leak in the bathroom. The front desk was friendly and helpful, and moved us quickly to another room. The overall cleanliness of the bathroom was suspect, but overall, the room was comfortable. The free breakfast in the morning was exceptional. Lots of variety, and we stayed two days, and there was different choices each morning. Might stay again, if I felt the cleanliness was resolved. It is located in a very central area.
1. A group threw a party in the hall outside of our room till midnight. 2. The heat cycled on and off every minute making it difficult to sleep. 3. There was no hot water when we woke up the next morning. 4. The breakfast line was long because of the layout. They had the toaster at the beginning of the line rather than the end. 5. The juice tasted watered down.
Stayed there one night on the way to Florida. We went up to our room to find that the bath tub was dirty inside. We also found dark hairs all over the pillows. I was not happy about this experience what so ever.
We stayed three nights and had picked this hotel because of the arcade and indoor pool, unfortunatley the 'arcade' has only four games and two of them were broken. The pool was so cold the first night that you couldnt get in but we did enjoy the hot tub, the second night both were cold so you couldnt enjoy either, and on the third night finally, they were both fixed. The breakfast was pretty good, and the hotel was pretty clean.
Great place to stay if your headed to Pigeon Forge. Great room. Comfortable beds. Great breakfast. Staff at hotel are very pleasant.
The hotel was a great , our room was very clean and spacious. Location of the hotel is good and is off the main road , so it was quite. The breakfast bar was great it had a large variety of foods( eggs, waffles, rolls, fruit, bacon, cereal). The menu was different each day we were there. We will return!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This hotel was not expensive and the rooms were clean. Also, the location was good. I would stay here again.
There were 12 of us (6 rooms) and we stayed 6 days. The staff: Paula Adkins, Jerry Pruitt, Mark Stone, and Peggy Carver were warm, friendly and very professional. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. The full breakfast was great, food always warm and cinnamin rolls to keep you coming back. We all recommend this hotel to anyone traveling. Guarantee you will be pleased. C. Wood Virginia
My family and I trulely enjoyed our stay. First visit to Pigeon Forge we had a blast. The staff was very, very friendly especially the employee working the breakfast area. The hotel was very clean and convient to everything we wanted to see and do. I will recommend this hotel to family and friends. Our only concern was we didn't have HBO or a movie channel with our room and we paid $ a night. OH well at any rate we will still stay here on our next visit.Because not having a movie channel only pushed us out to see more of Pigeon Forge and we ENJOYED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you want a clean, nice and friendly atmosphere stay here.SEE YOU GUYS NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!!!! And we were looking for a place that did not accept pets not everyone is a pet lover I didn't want to hear barking or smell pets in my room or the hallway or elevator and we found it here at this hotel
There are only three good things about this hotel...One is the location in Pigeon Forge if you plan to see shows while on vacation. The other good thing was that our room was a good size. The last is that the continental breakfast was of good quality. However, that is where it stops. The money we payed definitely did not match the quality of our stay. The lobby and hallways looked good. However, the room was a different story. The bed, couch, chair, and tv's were new. The walls needed paint, there was a hole in the wall by the toilet, and the carpet in our room was filthy. We wore shoes all the time in the room after the first hour of our stay. My husband made the mistake of taking off his shoes to walk from the bed to the bathroom and when he came back to the bed his white socks were black.
Indoor pool, easy in and out Thin walls, no hair dryer in the room it was stolen then didn't have an extra the staff said bring our own next time
Loved location, the ease of the bypass to help get downtown, cleanliness, and the indoor pool with water slide The only suggestion I made to the staff during our departure was that we had stayed on the 5th floor and right outside our room was a metal strip going across the hallway causing much noise when stepped on and luggage rolling over all hours of the night. I suggested placing piece of carpet over the top of the metal strip.
The hotel was neat and clean. The staff were friendly and professional and really made our experience enjoyable. We had the king size room with the spa tub, and it was amazing. We visited the indoor pool every night and the water was warm and the area was well-kept. The hotel is at the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge, and is about 20-25 minutes from Gatlinburg. We are already making plans to go back. There wasn't a bad experience, just a couple of mild annoyances. Our door would stick a little and we had to kind of slam it to get it to close. The headboard was mounted to the wall, but it would creak or click every time he would get restless. We were going to move the bed away from it about an inch, but the bed was so heavy, that wasn't happening.
The rooms were nice for what we paid. We went a night earlier than planned & couldn't get a room any where in town. We had to leave out & go to a different location way out of our way. We still had to pay a very high price & it wasn't nearly as nice as SOTM for the same price. I do think they should put up non slip runners in front of the elevators due to the people not drying off enough when leaving the pool area & going to them. It's a hazard. They advertised queen beds & they were more like full. They were also very hard & my back paid for it too. The lady that checked us in was really rude, bude the rest of the staff seemed better? When we go back we do plan on staying there again. We usually do. They bolted the TV to the dresser & we couldn't turn it so our daughter could watch her favorite shows at night. I guess some one had stolen one in the past for them to do that?
The staff was very friendly, check in was easy, when we requested extra towels they brought them to our room within minutes. The indoor pool was nice and the kids enjoyed it alot, it was nice to have a balcony too. We stayed in 2 queen bed room and the only thing I would suggest would be a table to sit at, but our room had adjoining capabilities to the one next door and that may be why there wasnt one. Only issue: the drain plug in the tub was broken but we showered so ut wasnt a big deal for us
Great location,Great staff,Great pools. Beds were hard and stiff.
The staff was very nice and easy to work with. The room was small, dingy, and always felt wet even with the ac on the whole time. Our feet would get dirty from just being barefoot on the carpet. I also had to duck down to get my head under the showerhead placed way too low for most adult men. Part of the carpet was even coming up in the corner by the door. The non-smoking room also smelled of cigarettes. Also slightly concerned for the staff since, Chris, the desk clerk was there for what seemed 24+ hours straight mostly by himself when cleaning staff were not there.
some renovation and upgrades in bath . carpet and paint appeared to be good condition. A/C worked as expected. lamp missing bulb. Did the last guest take it home or house keeping work in the dark? A mystery..
Great view from pool Breakfast could be better.
Its location Did not clean the room everyday
Good location It must've had bed bugs. I got bit all night. Overall, the hotel was nice. But had to pay for the room...again!
Very clean,good location Small rooms
Location Could have had better breakfast
Location was perfect Bugs everywhere! Room took all night to heat up. Woman at front desk seemed like i was bothering her upon checkin. No wifi as listed on website. Horrible stay.
The rooms were clean and the location is convenient. Did not have free wifi. Pool was dirty.
Staff was really friendly room was nice and clean
very friendly very comfortable bed quiet Trash was not emptied, ever Toilet paper started at 1.1 rolls It was not replenished next day Then with 0.1 roll left, not replenished I go to the office, promptly given a roll and a bag and told where the dumpster was!
It was almost directly across from the attraction that I wanted to go to and there was a traffic light at the main entrance which made entering and exiting easy. One thing, the air conditioning could use an upgrade from the window units that it currently has to a more modern air conditioning unit
It was clean and convenient, but . . . The wi-fi didn't work. There was no breakfast. Their ice machine required quarters, and then when inserted, there were no instructions on how to get ice, and none was forthcoming. The place fell short on the promised amenities. ;-(
The size The heat wasn't on we had to set in the car until the room got warm which took forever sense it was 17 degrees
Proximity to the cheesy attractions. No Wi-Fi included and the entrance/exit options are horrible!
Wi Fi did not work the whole weekend in my room. Everytime I asked they would say "we will reset the modem"
Clean Breakfast choice was disappointing. Didn't like being next to the pool. Bus load of college students partying way into the early morning and was unable to sleep.
Wifi and breakfast Hotel smelled horrible, had to switch rooms due to ants in the bathroom and in the fridge. Won't stay there again
Nothing! Everything was perfect!!!
Warm and dry Mosquitos in the room (203) and the other room(205) smelled like sewer. Wash cloths were stained. Sheets didn't fit the bed. All the Lights didn't work in 203. Told the front desk clerk as I was checking out he laughed...
Our stay at Hotel Pigeon Forge was very pleasant, and enjoyable.would probably stay there again on our next trip. nice place. no
Staff was extemely helpful, Good People! The floor in the room appeared to be extra dirty
Needs some updating. Mattress was like a trampoline. Tv picture was horrible. Not bad otherwise.
we did not enjoy but had a good laugh at the antics of the staff
Nice garden, nice bird cage outside the hotel. Decent breakfast, rooms are clean.
