The staff was the best we have ever met and the hotel was spic and span clean. Breakfast was good and the location is within walking distance to everything anyone would want. The heater was so loud, it was hard to sleep,

The rooms where clean. The breakfast was decent. Lots to do in the area. The pool was clean. !o minutes from the beach.Nice restaurant on property. The staff was not very interested in helping. Not rude just a little standoffish talked more with each other instead of trying to help with questions you may have had.
Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Had a nice continental breakfast too. Staff was very pleasant. Would stay there again. Parking was limited. Had to park away from room. Had to wait for car to come close to room to load & unload.
Train stop right next to one side of the hotel! Thus you hear screeching of train & train horns blowing. Only 1 of the 2 elevators was working. The one working elevator went up to the 3rd floor (where we were staying), but it didn't go down from the 3rd floor. Breakfast food good.
Rooms were clean and nice, MOST of the staff were wonderful. Young woman at check-out was rude and nasty.

The sheets were old, had holes, and very itchy. the heat was blowing out cold air. bathtub was dirty. King bed with two flat pillows. Never again. Unpleasant stay

The front desk was very nice and easy to check in. Looked like a Motel from the outside. but the rooms were very clean and modern. Nice comfortable beds too.
We checked in after 1am the check in person told us that he will extend our stay until 2am although that's pushing it but we checked in late. It was appreciated. In the morning we got a call from someone so rude we told him what we were told, he said no way you gotta go at 12. At this point I was annoyed and insulted. This person should not be at the front desk, no customer service skills I told him to check with the other person because 2pm it is. I would have been fine leaving but that nasty attitude. A half hour after the conversation, housekeeping pushed the door. She was most courteous and so apologetic as she was not told. The front desk people,need training. Not convinced I would stay there again!
The location is good, easy access to many locations on long island. The bed was so uncomfortable that my back still hurt a week later. The AC clicked on and off all night (despite being on the correct setting) and it was incredibly loud/rattling/screeching, constantly waking me up after finally falling asleep on the brick-bed. The AC also left a huge puddle on the floor. The shower curtain had holes in it. The walls were thick with dirt.
I liked the size of the room and that the location was very accessible.

The staff were extremely kind and since we were there as newlyweds We were given a copy of our new name signed for the first time as A keepsake....the mattress was very comfortable ....wish we could've Slept longer but we had to catch an early flight to our honeymoon Destination. ....definitely a night to remember.

In a really nice area, absolutely wonderful staff (best I've seen in a long time), comfortable large rooms, 24hr room service, on-site spa, indoor pool, close to cafes and restaurants. Wish there were a sauna or steam-room.
The location on the beach/boardwalk is nice. The staff were pleasant. The room was not very clean. The facilities looked nice superficially but are poorly finished. Bar and restaurant overpriced.

Its upscale beautiful beach front hotel. Location and atmosphere is beautiful. No outside food is allowed. (Ridiculously high priced buffet is available in the hotel, no doubt buffet is one of the best I've ever seen) No Coffee maker in the room Ac wasn't working, we had to sleep with the balcony door open. Ventilation wasn't working in the bathroom.
The physical plant is nice; the bar/breakfast area is nicely appointed. The rooms are sleek and modern, nicely if somewhat cheaply furnished. So many problems! 1. They put us in a room directly below a 24-hour gym. My wife was up all night listening to some guy running on the treadmill in the wee hours. I woke up at 6 am to the sounds of free weights being dropped on the floor. We didn't know any of this until I went up there in the morning because the staff never told us the room was under the gym (we speculated that someone was getting murdered in the room above us). When we complained, the manager asked us what time my wife was hearing the treadmill - so, he told us, that he could check the tapes! Check the tapes! Why don't you jus come right out and accuse us of lying, jack? Amateur/idiot. To their credit, they did not charge us for the room after we complained, but, as my wife said to the manager, she would have gotten more sleep on a bench at JFK. 2. Flat sheets on the bed instead of fitted sheets, and no proper mattress pad. This means that Jimmy and Jenny before us probably had their bare asses right on the mattress. Unhygienic. 3. 100-thread count sheets, if that. Rough. My wife's elbows and butt was sore from sleeping on the sheets. We brought a quality sheet to spread on top of the bottom sheet. 4. $35 resort fee in the winter gets you basically nothing. Suspend the resort fee in the winter, guys. It's a beach town.
The people were friendly and helpful. The breakfast and bar staff were especially attentive. The proximity to the beach was ruined by not having complementary passes to use it. Running out of towels was also off putting. The room had inadequate sitting/ chairs, the pointy wooden corners of the bed scratched me, and the view was poor. I would not recommend anyone stay there. The toilet handle was broken also and pieces of the wall fell of when I closed the bathroom door.

They said they tried to call and email me but they somehow couldnt find my number or email. They then tried to put me in a cheaper hotel which I refused. After that they offered me nothing. The location. That we were given a room with 2 full beds instead of a king. The TV didn't work. We didn't get help with our bags. The staff at the front desk acted indifferent to our needs. The walls are so thin we could hear everything around us.
The location, period. The room was very small, towel bars were broken, bar area was broken and missing, there are no dressers, and you cannot hang anything long (like a dress) in the closet. The bathroom door was a sliding glass panel that offered little privacy. There were no wash cloths and when we asked for them, we were given one. When we asked for a second, we got a strange look. The pool was closed the whole 4 days we were there. Breakfast closed early on Sunday without any prior notice. The final kicker was during checkout and we were told that we owed them a resort fee. For what? The wifi (told complimentary on check-in), the pool (closed the whole time), and the beach access (also told complimentary). Needless to say, we did not pay the fee. This hotel is WAY overpriced. Thankfully, we got a great deal from Kayak!
Loved the style of the hotel. Restaurant waitstaff, etc. very pleasant, neat appearance and attentive. As it was off season, we were not able to enjoy amenities. Breakfast: not many customers to justify why the food took so long (over 20 mins). Home fries was drenched in grease and the bacon wasn't evenly cooked, toast was cold, over easy eggs were over medium and crispy. I can only assume the kitchen had "fill in" help! Room: Could very easily hear couple in next room disagreeing.
The hotel was close to th concert venue we were going to. We paid $150 for a night and a few things were broken in the room. The light above the bed looked like it was about to fall and so did the shower head. We reported this to front desk. The room was outdated and could use a good scrub. It served its purpose though but I think we'll research a little more next time.
I had the worst time at this location. Room smelled really musty. Bugs in the shower. Sheets really dirty, and when I went to the front desk to ask for fresh sheets & pillows, they did not have anything. Their hospitality of the staff was bad, when I expressed my dislikes not only did they not try to fix the problems they never even apologized. Please do not waste your money. Also the rooms are out of date and disgustingly small.
It was right on the water. The staff was friendly and the rooms where clean enough. The breakfast could have been better. It got a little loud at night and there where a few weirdos on the premises.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. They offered a bite to eat in the mornings (cereal, bagels, waffles, instant oatmeal), which I appreciated. The restaurant makes tasty fare. While I enjoyed my stay I found the hotel a bit pricey for what it has to offer.

The guy at the desk was helpful, gave good tips for eating, taxis and entertainment in the surrounding areas. The hotel was also quiet. Only saw 2 staff my entire stay both were at the front desk. Glimpsed a housekeeper on check out. Did not feel the level of customer service that I think should come with a $150 per night hotel
The things that we liked mostly were the accommodations and the staff there. The staff were very kind and helpful. The room and the bed were very confortable. And also Freeport was a very nice surprise, the city is very beautiful and the food there are great too.

We found this hotel to be top notch for the price. Check in went smoothly, the room was spotless and the king size bed was heavenly! Hot breakfast buffet. I would stay clear of the eggs, not the real thing. However, the cinnamon buns made up for the eggs...yummy! Would definitely recommend this hotel, we'll be back I'm sure.
THE HIE IN LYNBROOK IS A VERY COMFORTABLE AND CLEAN HOTEL. THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL TOO!
The hotel appears to be fairly new. I am glad that I did call the hotel itself to confirm our reservation since we could have had an issue with the number of beds (single/double). Apparently you should call if it matters and it did for us with two children traveling. The hotel parking lot will fill up and you will have no place to park if they are booked (only 1 night for us). The front desk staff seemed to be very nice and helpful with directions and tips for out of towners, however the young man over the breakfast buffet seemed to not be really happy with his duties. (Breakfast was good, however they did run out of milk one day/not a huge deal). We did have one issue with the hot water running out-called and was told the boiler had gone out the night before and the water was a little discolored for a little while. I guess this can happen anywhere? The train station is about a 10 min walk (Lynbrook). Not many eating places around but a few. The Long Island Train Station (Lynbrook) is about a 40 min ride to Penn Station and I thought a little pricey. Would maybe choose another location if we were to go to NYC again. Overall the hotel was nice and clean. The room did have a small microwave and fridge. The hotel did have washers/dryers to use for a fee if you would like which is nice for a family traveling.

Tough to find reasonable accommodations in this area of Long Island but this hotel is just fine. Clean, comfortable room, nice staff, convenient location. I'd stay there again.
The hotel was clean, albeit modest. The staff was courteous. Food was simple, but adequate. My reservation was in order. The location was convenient, with no trouble getting taxi service to the trains. My stay was short, but worry-free -- just like I like it. I'd recommend this hotel to a friend.

i have stayed here on several visits to ny out of the way hotel but yet close to all that i need simple-clean-comfortable-value for the area

Cleanliness, friendly staff
I was pleasantly surprised at how clean this hotel was. When hotels quickly turn rooms for the next guests arrival,some house keeping issue get overlooked. This however was not the case at 5 Town. Very clean rooms and the entire hotel staff was wonderful. Each hotel employee was attentive and kind. I would return to this hotel and I would recommend it to family and friends. Please acknowledge the entire staff at 5 Town and thank them for making my first stay a nice experience. My only complaint was the AC unit. It was difficult to adjust to my sleeping comfort

It is close to JFK airport. Staff is very friendly and they provided all what they could. For amount of money that you pay, you get pretty enough. I would definitely go back there, if I am around that area. It is little bit dark around hotel. Facility looks old, inside and outside. It is noisy but again, it is very cheap price. Taxi consider this area outside of the city and it is more expensive than usually.

Clean quiet room excellant price for New York within 30 minutes of where I was spending alot of time. Distance to Center of City approximately 1 hour 30 minutes to midtown Manhattann via city bus and subway cost 2.75 and one hour fifeteen minutes via LIRR cost 16.50 return off peak also 5 block walk to LiRR station .
Good location and lowest price in the area. Clean rooms, comfortable, although they had a slight musty smell. Staff at the front desk were extremely nice! Free parking, Wifi, and breakfast. Overall would definitely stay again. Room had a slight musty smell, which went away when I turned on the A/C.

My wife and I were really impressed with how clean the hotel was. Our room was one of the cleanest rooms we had ever stayed in. No worry about bed bugs in this hotel. The breakfast was good, and the hotel staff were good. I would defiantly recommend this hotel to friends and family.
Parking...not enough parking
Though our reservation price was clear, the hotel wanted to charge us $10 more under the pretext of "the booking was made for 2 adults" which we refused, because we find that illegal and scam-like practices. You should let them know that that kind of practices does not look professional and honest. Please help us to keep them honest. Thank you, Jean
