Breakfasts, although the same everyday, were good. Good strong coffee. Very relaxing courtyard. Rooms with courtyard view were a liitle noisy due to 2 weddings, during our stay. Didn't have dinner during our 5 night stay. A little pricey.
Great Location - only 15min walk from Trevi Fountain / Colosseum. Rooms are quaint and spacious. The garden area is very relaxing. Early check - in was not facilitated
Very spacious rooms and a lovely garden you can see while you have a complete breakfast. Good location with many options of public transportation and restaurants.
I loved the room and grandness of the hotel itself also very centrally located within walking distance to most of the attractions. Friendly staff as well. /
Very clean, polite staff, good breakfast buffet. Very close to the metro stop, taxi piazza, and train station.
the airconditioning didn't work and we were not informed about this when we arrived at the hotel. As it was july and very hot the entire stay at the hotel was very uncomfortable. Wasn't worth the money.
The hotel is beautiful, with a very impressive interior, its very clean with a gorgeous enclosed garden. Highly recommended.
Very convenient location. Very rude staff, room had multiple problems, broken toilet seat, TV not working, window not closing etc, They repaired all but would not stay there again.
the size of the room he breakfastwas not the typcial italian style .Not enough selections and no toaster for bread. rate the breakfast poor.
The location was excellent. The rooms were clean and spacious. The people at the reception desk were always helpful. The (included) breakfast was completely amazing. We especially loved going to the garden room restaurant to have a beer in the late afternoon to cool off and rest a bit (they also brought a bowl of peanuts, a bowl of potato chips, and once, a bowl of mixed snacks to go with). One night we were too tired to find a local restaurant so we ate in their restaurant. The food was good, but pricier and not as marvelous as the local restaurants off site. But that's in comparison to the fabulous food all over Italy, so its a really high bar.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable, and the staff friendly enough. Considering the value of the rooms, I thought the price of drinks in the hotel bar were a little expensive. Also, we stayed in a "business double room", and our friends stayed in a "standard double room". Their's was the larger of the rooms.
Location is good all room facilities was old. Awful service, unhelpful and somethimes rude. The room was very smal and uncorfotable. There is no air conditioner. Our windows look on yard. And every morning we woke because of someone`s talking loudly in the yard. We cant even see the sky, because of tightness of the yard. Absolutely awful breakfast. noone from the staff pay attention to you. The salad was spoiled, pineapples turn sour. I will never stop in this hotel. it may have 2 star, not 4!
The location was good and the hotel was convenient for sightseeing in Rome as it was only a 15 minute walk from the coloseum and Trevi fountain. We chose an economy room which I wouldn't recommend as the beds are far too small for two people.
nothing many things
location was great!!! in the middle of via nationale, great shopping area, very close to the metro ( 5 mins walk). WIFI connection and for those who don't have laptops, there is a business room in the lobby. The hotel is infront of a great cafe that also has reasonable prices. No breakfest included... hotel staff should have more knowledge of places to go and recommend more specific places.
The access to the sites in Rome. The quality of the superior room.
location was a plus factor, surrounded by many cafes/restaurants, metro and bus station close by, although all major sites within walking distance the superior room i booked looked contemporary with nice furnishings, however on arrival we were allocated something completely different, when i complained i was informed there was more than one type of superior room, it was only when i refused to move from reception that the room i thought i had booked was allocated to us so beware you may end up at the front of the hotel overlooking a very busy/loud main road. Stated television with internarional channels, only one english one - BBC World News ! No tea/coffee making facilities in the room - unacceptable for the price we paid.
Liked the location, the room, facilities, breakfast The air conditioning wasnt working properly.
very central to rome attractions clean comfortable no bar or resturant
Excellent position, 10 min walk to Piazza Venezzia, 25 min walk to Trevi Fountain. Good area, beautiful architectural buildings There is room to improve the staff at the reception, and the staff at the restaurant.
Excellent, modern and clean room, with a large bathroom Check-in and front counter staff were frequently distracted (on the phone, etc) and at times not particularly helpful
All people were excellent
Rome was fabulous but hotel was a huge disappointment. Expensive for what it offered. Dinner for 2 was 250 euros and breakfast was 25 euros per person. Breakfast was disgusting with scrambled eggs that tasted like rubber. To iro a handkerchief was 9 euros - not that we did but this gives you an idea of what a rip off it was. Swimming pool is a small plunge pool and was out of service anyway.
Loved the spacious comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms - a haven of tranquility after a busy day of sightseeing in Rome. The staff were so impersonal as to verge on being uninterested. Lack of central lobby was unatmospheric and the hotel's location is poor for sightseeing. They also haven't got their roof top terrace sorted out properly. Lovely idea having a pool but it's very cramped.
The Hotel was beautiful and the details were well thought out and I was impressed with Boscolo Exedra. Be very careful if you book this hotel through a third party booking service. They did not honor my booking and the entire check in was long and delayed. The Hotel Boscolo charged my credit card that I gave them for incidentals even after I showed and emailed them the copy of the booking. Very frustrating and I am still dealing with it weeks later.
This beautiful hotel is centrally located. My room was upgraded on the 3rd floor mezzanine where the ceilings were 2 stories high. Amazing The reception, concierge, servers, and restaurant hostess were all very nice and helpful - despite my sad attempt at speaking Italian! I will be back soon!!
Excellent service and location.
Service very slow. No view at all from room.
the location, the building, the decor, the luxury for a five star luxury hotel of this caliber the tv is very small and cold and it contains only one english channel and 15 italian channels !!!!! Also the breakfast lacks variety:
Stayed here once before and enjoyed my stay both times. Front desk was pleasant and helpful. Excellent location. Within 5 minutes walking distance from Roma Termini. Room was a generous size by European standards, large bathroom. Would definitely stay there again.
high standards, beautiful rooms, location settings shower/ bath was low pressure and hard work. there was no view from our room.
The staff was efficent on check and check out. The spa staff was not attentive to be kind, first rescheduling a treatment and then being more than 30 minutes late on the new appointment time. They seemed unhappy and offered no regrets when we decided to cancel after waiting with no up date until we left. We had an interior room and fortunately it was too hot to think about sitting on the balcony over looking to courtyard because the dumpsters were in the courtyard and smelled when we stepped out there on arrival. This is a poor use of this space regardless and the Bauer can do better.
Location was good Just felt it was over priced, not very good value.
I liked that the hotel offered us a better room after initially trying to put us in a not renovated room that would have made me leave it at once were it the only choice. I liked that the hotel immediately brought us better pillows after we asked for the hard foam ones in our room to be replaced. I liked the breakfast and the friendly staff
Staff was helpful and courteous. Excellent location Room was dated and somewhat shabby.
The setting and quality of staff, we enjoyed our stay and were upgraded although we did lose the balcony suite booked. Very convenient for our stay in Rome and we would book there again An initial lack of coathangers, only 4 provided but more were provided on request. Also a problem with heating/AC
While the location is great, and the reception, bar and restaurant are beautifully decorated, the room itself looked a bit out of date and used. There were stains on ceilings. We also had a difficult time keeping a comfortable temperature (too hot) even though we were there in mid-November.
the service in the hotel was excellent. rooms were dated
Friendly staff!!! Spacious room(too much for overnight stay), nice bathroom, good breakfast. Price a little steep for one night.
Everything was great, from the room, to the staff, to the location. Nothing.
The concierge staff is very helpful. We arrived at the hotel at noon, after almost 24 hours of travel. We were exhausted. The front desk staff reminded us that check-in was at 2 p.m., but proceeded to allow 11 other couples/families to register and go to their rooms before 2 p.m.. We sat in the lobby for 1 hour and 45 minutes. The front desk did not check with the cleaning staff until we had been sitting there for an hour and a half, and I went to the desk a second time. Not a great way to start a vacation.
Friendly welcoming staff Nothing
Excellent location. Well established hotel. Great value, Would definitely use again.
Nothing only the location the room was old and noisy its not a five star hotel i wont give it 3 stars
Excellent Proximity to main attractions in Rome, friendly Hotel staff, Nice Street, nice rooms,
The room and decor, and location. Disappointed the bar area was always unstaffed. It seemed the hotel didn't want us to use it. They had a lovely breakfast area that was empty but sent us down to the basement, so we went out for breakfast. Made no sense??
the location poor quality for a 4 star hotel
Expected more for the value... Air condition didn't work, no hairdryer in the room
Location and the art deco of the dinning room The room; too small and smelling terrible bad. The "mini elevator", the "mini halls"...The external appearance of the hotel is magnificent but inside it is quite reduced
location no wi fi, internet connection, absence of power outlets in the room, overall business use made it impossible
Beatifull, recently renewed, location, modern. Booking description very accurate. Very poor concierge services when it comes to restaurant recommendations and reservations.
Hotel was centrally located. Staff was very courteous and helpful.
Good location, a very nice facility, exactly what we needed. The staff was most helpful, they couldn't do enough for you. They responded immediately to any requests.
The family room was excellent and value for money. The staff were very helpful and spoke good English and the hotel was well located near Termini Station and other tourist attractions. The hotel is new and very clean.
Simplicity and great value for money vending machines. Location was fantastic and the staff very helpful with booking taxis and restaurants
All was very nice except the carpet it needed to be cleaned.
The roof top terrace really nice , getting wine and beer from vending machines funny Small rooms
Great hotel close to cafe, shops and historical sites. Morning buffet is top notch! Thank you.
The staff are extraordinary helpful! We lost our passport in Rome airport, the staff were actively to help, Giorgio replied my email in a minute! And I even received the Thank You Email after check out! Before arrival, the staff Cristian nicely replied all my question and arrange the airport pickup for me! The hotel is not a big hotel, but chic, nice and beautiful! I will definitely return and spread the word.
It was central to main attractions. Clean pleasant. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. The only thing I would recommend if they had tea and coffee facility in the room.
We stayed 3 days and absolutly loved it! We travelled with a 10 months and 2 year old. The room was big enough for all of us + double stroller to move around. Really clean. The bathroom is very spacious, clean and even has a switch for 110V appliances! Hotel was within walking distance of main monuments. Very friendly staff. I can't find anything negative to say about it!
We had some difficulties with our booking due to unclear communication with bookings.com but the hotel staff, in particular Claudio was fantastic and sorted it out for us very pleasantly and efficiently. He was also excellent with recommendations for sightseeing tours, restaurants etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this fantastic hotel.Kind regards,Susan and Max.
location near good restaurants and comfort no
Locations is great, hospitality was great, hotel atmosphere is excellent. Mix between classic and trendy. Breakfast.
everything was excellent, but the breakfast was poor
best location that can be for family, center, but quiet. stayed with the kid and the room was upgraded to Delux triple for free. Very good terrace to have brcfst or lunch.
A lovely, elegant hotel located in a prime location! Excellent and very attentive service. Hotel staff made me feel very welcome and was extremely helpful in providing information about restaurants and things to see. I requested an early check-in and the hotel was able to acccomodate me. I would definitely stay there again. It was a little tricky trying to adjust the water temperature in the shower.
Excellent service from all sectors ! Rooms are cleaned twice a day !
The location of the hotel is fabulous! I could walk to the Borgese Gardens, the Trevi Fountain, The Spanish Steps and the Colloseum! The shopping in the area was fantastic! I only eat fruit in the morning and I found the fruit salad skimpy, composed mainly of apples and swimming in a sea of orange juice from concentrate. Surely a 5 star hotel should have a wonderful fresh fruit salad, with melon, kiwi, pineapple and berries.
Friendly staff and good location Room service, mini-bar, etc were very expensive
splendid breakfast with good view 7th floor bar and restaurant not open during our stay
the location and the view from the 7th floor restaurant the 6th floor breakfast buffet. Horrible flooring. staff not as attentive or as friendly as in other 5 star hotels we visited in Italy. Mirabelle restaurant was lovely, however the bar area needs attention, too small, and way too much traffic from kitchen to enjoy the beautiful guitarist
The friendliness of the staff. The prices for the room service menu were extremely high. Also, the cupboards were not well designed (hanger rods placed very high and it was hard hanging clothes and getting them down).
The hotel staff were veryprofessional. A really excellent hotel but Two very small picky points. For the early birds, the Gym and Breakfast only open at 7:00 If you are on a tour to the Vatican or outside of Rome, you could be leaving at 6:45, which therefore doesn't give you access to the breakfast, or gym.
Good location, qualified personnel, hotel corresponds to expectations of the guests. As a wish: to have own SPA zone. It is inconvenient to visit hotel restaurant in the evening, it is necessary to take a reservation at least, for a day earlier.
The staff was extremely kind and assisted efficiently in providing good addresses and securing bookings for museum visits, etc. The rooms are very well equipped, very clean and comfortable.
Exceptional service from staff. We checked-in before check-in time and a room was made available for us very quickly. Our stay was only 1 day so we did not have time to try the hotel facilities. Breakfast was included in the price paid for the room. We were leaving early the next morning and we were told that a take out breakfast would be ready for us. I found this very nice but the next morning no breakfast was available. Bed sheets and blankets not comfortable,
location. roof terrace the hotel is tatty and does not have the level of service I expected from a 5 star hotel ... the beds are incredibly uncomfortable and we slept badly. This is a 4 star at best and does not have any romantic or luxury component to it. The roof terrace is nice
the location and the room standard I did not like the breakfast. It was not up to the satdard of a 5 star hotel. Also thehotel was offering SPA services which were not located in the hotel , but in another hotel, which is not convenient especially during cold times.
Very nice rooms, clean, great service, nice location. Breakfast was execellent. Rooms and bathrooms were renovated. We liked everything...
Beautiful eurorpean decor, the terrase for a glass of Procecco, locations, quietness. price of meals
Rooms were beautifully decorated. Outfitted with very comfortable linens. The staff was very attentive. We are definitely staying here on our next visit to Rome
One of the very best hotels we've ever stayed in, almost faultless
Why Offensive?! This hotel is excellent!!! Very friendly & proffessional staff. Each and every member of the staff, from all departments was so nice and efficient! We really enjoyed our stay there, thanks to the wonderful treatment, and also the location and facilities. The fact that we couldn't stay longer...
Pretty much everything was great but some small amenities wasn't available when asked for. Room didn't have iron and board. It's a 5 star hotel eveything should be available when it comas to Small amenities which are even. Available at 4 star hotels. Had to ask for toothpaste a 2nd time and then it was provided. Otherwise staff was really helpful and friendly which is very important.
Beautiful room and appointments. Excellent air-conditioning. Breakfast too expensive
I really enjoy hotel , room were nice Clean less the bathroom
The whole atmosphere, the hotel was worth it of a 5 star hotel. Fantastic stay.
Restaurant waiter Front desk Reception lady with very bad attitude Trying to use slogan (our role in eourp !!) like teaching her guest ????!!!
Beautiful hotel - true luxury experience. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Clean and well appointed rooms and facilities. Great recommendations for dinner including Girarrosto Fiorentino - do not miss.
Everything, the location is excellent, staff are very helpful, rooms were lovely as was the breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a hotel in the centre of Rome
Location was great for sightseeing, close to bus statin and metro links, and easy to walk to many of the major sites. Rooms were small. Unable to get iron for the room (and there is a charge of 5euro to have shirt ironed). No British TV channels available during our stay.
Our room at the Artemide was comfortable and well equipped. Staff at the hotel were excellent and very helpful. The free wireless and complimentary drinks included with our room were a nice bonus. Our room was at the front of the hotel and although fine with the windows closed, was very noisy if you opened them as the hotel is sited on a very busy road.
good location, free mini bar, small but very comfortable room the taste of coffee
Easy access to most attractions in and around Rome
clean, and room is big. service and location are excellent no
The location, the staff, the breakfast. Noisy street but after walking in Rome for 12 hours then you sleep nevertheless.
It was very central to the sites and as we had never been to Rome before we where very pleased with the location. No.
Good location, friendship stuff
Perfect location in central Rome. Very comfortable rooms and very helpful English speaking staff. We will certainly stay again at this hotel and will definitely recommend the hotel
Staff was remarkable. Location was perfect. Higher expections because of the star ratings. No windows, so had no idea of time of day... we felt very sufficated.
-Nicely appointed entry way right off Via Nazionale. -5 Minute walk to and from Termini -Walking distance to Colleseum, Spanish Steps, Eman. II monument etc. -Nearby Allesio, an excellent restaurant around the corner with reasonable prices and excellent Roman dishes. -Beautiful balcony that came with the room. -Ordered room service of wine and appetizer to be ready upon arrival. Executed perfectly and affordably. -Wonderful breakfast with ultra professional staff -Typical European small rooms comparably -Tiny shower -No in house massage services -Small lobby -Connected beds versus true king or queen size bed -Stayed 3 nights but only offered 1 complimentary water to the room.
Room was huge and hotel was centrally located. Hotel was located on a somewhat busy street so you could hear cars and people late at night.
The staff were very helpful and the location fantastic The room was tiny!
Design of the room Reception was poor, unfriendly, and not professional.
The Best is the situation. Not very much to say good about accpomodations and staff.QUARTOS Interiores , são muito pequenos e devido ao calor é impossivel dormir. I stay first night in the room number 620 and I change second night for another room.I Strong advise people not go for room 620, because is interior and thave the problem t is are very warm( and the Hotel knows. Even if you can have a good price, I stongly not recomend.
Location was excellent Bedroom and en-suite bathroom were really small with no outside window
The whole atmosphere was very nice and the staff very helpful and gentle.
Close to everything, friendly staff (except front desk), A/C worked great, nice TV's, comfortable bed, made arrangements for airport transpo Poor signage from the street Internet connection in room not good Upon checking in, was informed that we had no reservation and tried upselling us to superior room. When we declined, they found our reservation, they forgot wake up call twice
good location and friendly, helpful staff . Ideal for city break. poor water pressure ,shower temperature changed from hot to cold during showering
Great location The lipless shower that managed to soak the entire floor everytime we used it!
duvet covers insteed of blankets that other hotels use.
The staff was amazing. They all knew our names from the moment we checked in and made us feel very welcome and at home. The concierge provided excellent recommendations for food which was always spectacular and reasonably priced. The Palm Court bar is an Art Deco fantasy. Our BEST stay in Rome, and we have been many times. We will only stay at the Hassler in the future!
Wonderful staff with first rare service.
The staff were excellent - pleasant and helpful at all times. The roof top restaurant was disappointing. The quality and presentation of food was reasonable but not to the standard expected for the prices charged; a limited menu.
Eloquent, classy, clean and helpful!
The hotel was lovely and on a quiet street, by Rome standards. The staff were great. I had erroriously booked a single and didn't realize until we checked in. They quickly fixed my error and we weren't charged any extra rate. They were friendly and so helpful. I needed a couple of "C" batteries after frying an appliance. They went out of their way to find me one and left it in the room while we went to dinner. The included breakfast was absolutely fabulous and we had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was also very good. Our room was very spacious, comparable to very nice US hotels and the bathroom was huge and very clean. The housekeeping staff did a great job daily. All and all, it was great to come "home" after a long day of sight-seeing and relax. We would most certainly stay at Sofitel Rome again.
Staff was very helpful, location is close to nice places such as Spanish steps and via veneto. Price is a bit over-rated in comparison with what the hotel can offer
Efficiency of staff and service. Breakfast could have had more fresh fruit--v limited selection of fresh fruit. Would have liked a sofa area in the room.
The staff were extreemly helpful!
The entire staff was superb. They were professional, helpful, friendly and hospitable. We arrived early in the morning and they made a room available for us to use until our other room was ready. Breakfast was included in our room rate. The breakfast selections were outstanding. It did not have an exercise facility and the rooms did not have an iron and ironing board.
Good location, helpful staff ,beautiful hotel. Would stay there again. Very small room and lack of a business center with computers
I'm usually pretty critical of hotels but the staff at this one was great, from the doormen and valets to the front desk and concierge. Good job by all of them. Also, the internet was wired, fast and reliable, usually hard to find at most hotels, so key to my happiness there. The rest was standard fare, rooms were good, room service food ok but expensive, nice bar on the roof, etc. The only thing I didn't like was standard european convention of a "king" bed not being a king mattress but really being 2 small twin beds pushed together. It leads to many sore backs in the morning, or falling into the gap in the center.
The hotel is in a convenient location. It is very clean and the staff is very friendly.
We enjoyed the comp. bottle of champagne to celebrate our aniversary.
The hotel was located in via veneto which is a high class area and near most must see attractions such as Burghese Gardens, Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountains. The hotel was newly re-desined from the inside and the price was raltively lower than similar luxury hotels. My wife and I spent the first days in our honeymoon in the hotel and we liked it very much. The staff were not frinedly as they should be in this 5ive star hotel. The tourist info desk staff were not available all the time.
I did like the position of the hotel which is rather quiet after along day in the city noise. The room was comfortable . yes ,I did expect a little bit of a 'welcome' token in the room such as one flower or a 'basket of fruits' when booking a 'superior room'.
Good location, very good staff, good sized rooms, very safe place of Rome(opposite the hotel is an embassy of USA, so you can feel yourself safe), good restraunts all around, taxi station is near the hotel, so you just need 7-10 euros to go to any sightseeings, Trevi fountain is 7 min. of walk, Hard Rock cafe is just around the corner The breakfast could be more assorted, I think the housekeeping could put the slippers in the room, there were not
yes no coffee maker, safty book was broken and no body repair it and it was difficult for me to keep coming down ,no enough warming of the rooms and tape water wasnot hot especially during night and no replacement for the used glasses and i dont like the toilets it need tobe redesinning
I liked the hotel itself, the service, the location and the view out of the balcony, which is absolutely fantastic, from my perspective.
The very comfortable, spacey room. The expensive breakfast. We are little eaters and 16 euro for a cup of coffee and a croissant is a lot of money. Breakfast should be included.
The hotel was in a very popular region, closed to many attractions. The hotel staff were very friendly. The rooms were nicely decorated in Italian classic style. The heating system was not working! We had two "cold" nights in the centre of Rome.
We got upgraded to a suite, which was fabulous. Location of hotel was very good. Certainly a luxury hotel. Reception staff were okay, but they were rather arrogant and a bit slow ! Also, wanted to charge us the total price on a daily rate, rather than for our full stay !! Check your bill carefully at the hotel. Mini bar prices were outrageous and the breakfast price was very high, so we ate out.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping did a wonderful job on the room every day of our stay. Bar in the hotel was a little pricey however, the rest of the stay was fantastic
It was clean and the staff were pleasant, wifi internet excellent. Fantastic location. Upgraded from a double deluxe to grand deluxe as it was our anniversary. It needs tea and coffee making facilites, as the room service is expensive as is the mini bar. The breakfast was very expensive and of a poor standard.
