So sexy - great scene. Excellent services in spa, whatever whenever concierge, lounges, and very good food.
Pros. Walking distance from Old Town and shopping. The lounge was inviting. We weren't there for a conference, but it looked like a good facility for meetings.
Cons. The hotel does admit they are "a lively W hotel" however I did not know that when booking. If you want to go to bed before 2am, ask for a room on the back of the hotel, away from the nightclubs. The pool had a band both weekend nights we were there, so they aren't an upgrade if you aren't there to party.
Pros. Rooms were very nice and modern and had floor to ceiling windows. I really liked the design and the rooms are designed creatively so each room has somewhat of a corner window. The shower was also very nicely designed and roomy. The atmosphere of the hotel was excellent. Elevator music and pool music were all excellent. There are pool parties on Saturday afternoons, I guess it's a good thing or a bad thing depending on what you're looking for. It was a little too "college-y" for my tastes. I would have preferred something a bit more "lounge-y" but that's just personal preference. If you're planning on enjoying the pool, don't go on a Saturday as everyone is packed in like sardines.
Cons. Front desk staff was not very helpful upon first arriving. There was a line and a 2nd staff member came up and stood at her desk. She looked right at us and then proceeded to just stand there. It took us asking if she was open to get her to help us. Also, they need to update their in room audio systems, they were only compatible with iPods and iPhones with the old 30 pin connectors. Seriously guys? That was 4 years ago. Use a more standard format like audio line in or Bluetooth so everyone can enjoy. Water pressure in the shower was not the greatest. It was barely even coming out toward the end of my shower.
