I prepaid for my reservation for an important trip and they charged my credit card with full amount in advance. I showed up to Hertz location but desk agent said she rented my car off to someone else. What a joke! She was also very unprofessional and called me “disgusting”. Horrible experience.

Due to a shortage of compact cars I was given an "upgrade" to a Nissan Altima. The car was too big to drive easily around my neighborhood with its narrow streets. After a week of calling and occasionally stopping in at the rental office I was finally able to get a Chevy Spark, the car I originally reserved. After that everything was fine. Service at the rental office was very good, but they did not have the promised inventory. The lack of inventory didn't seem to be the fault of the staff at the very cramped location of the rental office. The location doesn't allow storage of more than about 10 cars. I found Hertz's telephone and online assistance practically nonexistent. The only way to get the service I paid for was to do a lot of leg work myself. I will probably not use Hertz again because of this experience.

Car was very dirty dog hair everywhere lots of sticky stuff around gear shift an windshield wiper switch was broken an it rained the hole time we had the vehicle #will never from that location again

Pros:

The staff was helpful. The rental location and my car were clean. COVID safety protocols were in place.

Cons:

The rental location was rather small and the cars are tightly packed into the small lot which made it difficult to leave and enter the lot.

No radio!! Ridiculous! Just Sirius advertising Drop off was atrocious. My designated drop off site had been closed for months. Ran around for an hour, spent an hour on the phone. They had to tow it from my home

Need refund. Gave me an electric car with no charge, tire was flat, and smelled of cigarettes. Even a full battery would barely get me half way to the destination.

Vehicle had completely bald tire with threads coming through! Didn’t see this until second day of rental. Driving it in rain was flat out dangerous with car skidding side to side!! Old wiper blades smeared rain. Absolute joke and insane that this vehicle was rented in this condition. Complete negligence on budget. A lawsuit waiting to happen.
