Restaurant and staff were amazing. Farm to table and locally sourced. The beds have a ledge I hit my shin on twice. Second time drew blood.
Lovely, lovely place. Very Friendly and accommodating. Excellent 3 night stay!!
Problems with upgrading my room through hotels.com. On the phone for an hour the first time. Never received the updated email. The original email was sent but no upgrade. Called back to get the updated email with room upgrade and it wasn't done. Spend a long time on the phone once again. Notes were not added to account and it did not show upgrade even after credit card info was taken for a second time. Had to finally make payment at the hotel. After checking and comparing fees from hotels.com and the inn it was only a 2.00 difference. For the aggravation, I should have just booked with the inn. Will not book with hotels.com again
Within walking distance of Annapolis waterfront and restaurants. Also had trolley service to downtown and Navy stadium. Rooms neat and comfortable. Older HVAC and bathroom fixtures but worked well. Bed was comfortable Pillows were hard to get use to. One too hard and one too soft. Only real negative was valet parking. Parked my car under a tree in uncovered lot for two (2) days and it had sap, leaves, twigs, etc. when brought out. For $20 per day, I expected better.
The room was huge and the location was great The room needed an update. The carpet was stained and the furniture was falling apart.
Large room: easy check in. Staff was friendly Not much in the at of amenities and older furniture but in expensive for a one night stay
very good location coupled with free shuttles to town was nice. the bill i received from the hotel was lower than what Kayak charged.
Convenient shuttle service to downtown Bed was uncomfortable and led to a stiff back the following morning
Everything! Amazing service. Wish we were told that our only option to park our car was valet and that we would have to pay for that. I don't think we should have to pay if that's our only option
Location was near some really great restaurants and walking distance to the harbor. This hotel is in need of an upgrade- wallpaper was peeling off the wall or large chunks were missing, the beds were lumpy and so squeaky, carpet was stained, and the walls were paper thin.
Good location. Attractive street apearance The room was tired and musty as if there had been water damage that had not been treated. In the morning I awoke to cockroaches in the bathtub and on the bathroom floor
Location and cleanliness Bed was borderline too soft/saggy. Musty smell when walking in and AC was off on a very hot day so had to leave the room for a while until it cooled.
Excellent location at a great rate! Noticed an employee drinking at the bar and working the front desk.
This hotel is beautiful and is so close to downtown Annapolis, the State House and many other historic attractions. The Navy Stadium is also a short walk away! I have stayed at this hotel 3 times in just over a year and would happily recommend it to others!
The staff was terrific!
Location The $200 per night price seemed too expensive for the room. We had a view of a back alley and the room, although very clean, was only average. The hotel was hosting a dog convention and I did not like the thought of sleeping in a bed that probably had been used for dogs to sleep in. Also there was a doging barking on Sunday morning. Not fun to wake up to.
Nice hotel, great location for Annapolis. You could walk from the hotel to downtown in under 10 minutes. Great hotel shuttle that would drop you off anywhere you want in downtown.
When I called the front desk at 1am because the occupants of the room next door were loud, it was taken care of immediately. Loved the complimentary WA post and NY Times newspapers in lobby. Couldn't change us to a King Bed room vs. Double beds. Seemed like we were less-well treated because of booking on a 3rd party site. Could hear loud, raucous and profane conversation and laughter, woke me and my family up 3 times during the night, finally at 1am I called downstairs. Seemed to be blood spatter/stain on one of the sheets. Complimentary coffee urn in lobby was empty the one morning I noticed it - at 10am. ?! Was quite a distance from the main shopping and restaurant area, though we did have a nice meal at an Asian restaurant nearby.
Very clean, modern amenities, friendly staff. The only hiccup was that construction closed the main entrance and parking garage entrance. It was easy to find the curbside valet parking, but the sign pointing straight for self-park was woefully inadequate (one needed to drive about a half-mile farther and then make two right-hand turns (only the second of which had a sign) to go in the back entrance. Similarly, it was not at all clear where the entrance was -- there was only the name of the hotel restaurant over it and inside. These problems will disappear in a few months when construction wraps up, but in the meantime the last problem I expected was being able to enter the hotel.
location was great 1 block walk to center of town FREE INTERNET did not offer free breAKFAST
Sfaff was friendly and nice. Location was great. Room was a bit small for the price.
We liked the valet service and car parking. It was a short stay and we appreciated having food avialable at the morning buffet and at the bar. We left the area after our grandson received an award at Commencement, but needed an extra hour before checking out. Thanks
Great service. Used concierge for special requests and everything was wonderful. They were very welcoming and accomodating.
I liked the location close to downtown Annapolis and the football stadium. Staff gave good directions to get to the stadium and when. Families of Naval Academy grads were welcomed warmly No
Rooms were well furnished and comfortable Breakfast was awful and the lack of ventilation in the baths made no sense.
The staff was wonderful. The breakfast better than most. They were re-carpeting. I have issues with the smell of the glue. They tried to accommodate me. At one point they even moved my room to another area. It was frustrating as I had booked there for the pool and workout room and could not access them for a number of days because of the glue. I would not have booked there if Had realized they were carpeting.
Staff was friendly and allowed for a late check out. Shower had good pressure. This hotel is very dated. AC is extremely loud so if ours turned off we could hear units running from other rooms. Soap was not very soapy! Carpet is old and the room in general is in need of new furniture and paint. No air circulating in the bathroom. Indoor pool is very small. If there was more than my family in the pool it would have been crowded. Also the water seemed clean but it was cloudy, which is usually an indication of chemical imbalance. It was easy to get into town but I wouldn't stay here again.
Hotel was clean, staff friendly and professional. Breakfast was ok, but nothing exceptional
View was wonderful. Parking too tight. Old room. Old bathroom. Second night, several fire alarms. Went out side with two other couples Others remained in the bar. Was not approached by any staff. was not told what the problem was. Was not told it was OK to go Bach to room called the desk when the alarms we t off again. Asked the front desk if we needed to evaluate again. Was told no and then hung up on. Very un professional. Not a well run ship at all. Sub part for 500 a day. Very sub par.
Enough said My stay was to short!
they did not have a record of our room reservation made through booking.com when we arrived, but there were 5 weddings at the hotel that weekend and they found us a room, same type as the one we had reserved.
Booked and paid for a king room and was given a double
privacy...historic...very well run & would stay with them again what brings my rating down is their restaurant, "The Treat of Paris". it is a poor, poor restaurant that represents itself as historic/romantic fine dining when the food was half rate at best. service tried, but it seemed their was a lack of management to oversee it (basic service, issues with food temps, food coming out cold). it's areal Shane that such an established institution as this restaurant has been badly managed to the point of just surviving on its laurels..even the locals tried to warm me that these days it's a tourist trap
The room was beautifully decorated and comfortable Our sink repeatedly expelled gas and grime from the drain. We were in Room 318 of the Maryland Inn. It is a triangle, with the bathroom at the top point, and busy streets on two of the sides of the main room. The street noise was very loud from both sides which made it hard to relax or sleep. It took us 45 minutes to get our car from valet parking the first morning we were there.
Everything. Downtown is amazing. Favorite place to go. Go 3 or 4 times a year. Nothing.
Best location! Young girl who checked us in was rude. She did not make us feel welcomed at all. I felt like I was on an assembly line when she went through her check-in speech. We stayed at the Maryland Inn. It has potential but when we walked in our room it felt like a dorm room. Just a bed and a dresser TV, and window AC unit. There was no artwork on the walls. Also, they must be renovating because when we got back for the evening the entire lobby and second floor smelled of oil based paint
They provided cookies, hot cider and hot chocolate in the lobby for guests the first night I stayed, which was a nice surprise. The location was incredible to walk around the city and to the Naval Academy. The closest parking was several blocks away, and with old brick sidewalks I couldn't roll my suitcase. I had to carry it. Plus, there weren't the cookies and cider the second night. I'm not sure why and I was kind of looking forward to them after the first night. The room and bathroom were very tiny, too much of the room was taken up by furniture. I had to turn sideways to get past the bed and dresser to get to the bathroom. Also, the pillows weren't comfortable at all, they were too soft.
My wife and I started at the Robert Johnson House for a weekend trip to Annapolis. The hotel was well located, and pretty nice. Overall, I liked the hotel. If I'm ever going to stay overnight in Annapolis again, I'll likely stay in one of the Historic Inns again. The cable didn't get a good signal, though. After a day of walking, I wanted to relax and watch TV, but the picture and sound kept cutting out. Luckily I can watch Netflix in my phone.
Loved the location! Our door was old and kept sticking so we had to shoulder the thing open. Confusing were to park or the whole valet system. No breakfast at the marlyland inn.
Convenient location, lovely decor, comfortable beds. Walls are thin; at 1am I had to turn on the A/C to muffle the noise from others. Couldn't find any staff when attempting to check out.
Great staff, nice rooms and great facilities. Cell service seems spotty in the hotel and the wifi is often painfully slow.
town of annapolis
The complimentary shuttle. The staff wasn't very helpful when asking about local attractions in the area.
The gym and pool facilities were lovely. There were so many great machines in the workout room and it was open 24/7. I also really appreciated the sundry room! The sheets were pretty scratchy and the bathroom light made a loud buzzing sound. One of the lamps kept flickering. Also, I would have liked the option of later check-out.
We were given a quiet room. The breakfast. Would prefer more fresh fruits and healthier foods
It was more than we expected, due tot he Registration person, Jennifer. no
Close to everything you may need. Staff was very nice. Loved that we were given the oppurtunity to checkin early. The pool and hot tub was so nice. The welcome water was wonderful. Overall.a very nice.place to call home base for our adventures. Just a personal preference, the bed was too soft for me.
Customer service, Food, Room.
Expected 2 doubles and a rollout. Received a king and rollout with stains on mattress and no linens. So we went to the front desk and told them we needed linens, and would be back after about an hour at the local watering hole. We came back, went to the room, and couldn't get back in the room with our keys. Back down to the front desk and told them of our situation. They couldn't reprogram our keys because their machine was broken. So the night staff attempted to open up our door with a master key, only to find out the door lock was broken. So after an hour of realizing they couldn't get us back into our room (around 2:30 am), they finally gave us another room and one complimentary toothbrush for three people.
A little bit too old.
The room ended up be smoking
The staff was very professional and pleasant. We also thought the hotel restaurant and lobby was very nice. We did not like that we didn't get a room with a fridge. We were only there a night but they should ask if we need one when we sign in. The restaurant breakfast was ridiculously expensive for the quality. It should be much less.
I thought it was a fair value , clean, and a fairly convieniant location
Nice kitchen, family room, and bedroom Mildew on caulk, shower curtain holder almost fall due to tile crack, bathtub old. TV bad pixels, not clear but I fixed.
The initial willingness to look into both reported problems of the bed and mildewy tub. Uncomfortable springy mattress in sleep soda - which was replaced by a rollaway for one. The two long presence of mildew around the tub was a turnoff. Despite complaints, the attempts to treat were completely futile. They could try and be more creative with the protein breakfast offerings.
Location, amenities, atmosphere
In this hotel you feel like home. The hotel staff treats people as a family not as a customer. None
We were very please with our stay at the Inn at Perry Cabin. It was our 20th anniversary and I wanted something special. Our room was a Studio in the Main building. We were close to everything, the restaurant, bar and lobby. The room was delightful with a lot of character. Kind of reminded me of a bed and breakfast in a hotel. From the moment we walked through the door, every staff member was kind, informative and attentive. We were treated like kings and queens. I was really impressed with the service. Every night, our bed was turned down, on each bedside stand was a bottle of water and a glass. Every day we had fresh apples and cookies left in our room. At first I felt the rooms were a little on the expensive side, but after my stay, with all the extras that were included, it was well worth it. The restaurant's breakfasts were exceptional. The Cream of Crab soup was the best I have ever had. I cannot think of one negative thing about this hotel. The hotel is also within walking distance to downtown shops in St. Michaels. They also have a shuttle van if you do not want to walk.
Sheer understated luxury no
great place, first time there but definetely not the last.Food was great and the service just as good, the rooms are perfectly decorated
I would not recommend this hotel. Simply, it is not worth the money. This is supposedly a luxury hotel. The common areas, indeed, are lovely. The rooms are not lovely, however, and the bathroom attached to our room was claustrophobic. The service at the front desk upon check-in and check-out was fine, but, other than that, the service was mediocre to poor; and, surprisingly, no one at the hotel seemed to know anything about the area except for the little town of St. Michaels.
Being on the water and the view of the water The infinity pool The gorgeous Spa The excellent restaurant The fact that the place had character and was older yet impeccably maintained The room had a stifling little outdoor patio--would have been better to scrap it and the privacy fence and just have it be open space with bushes and flowers
The staff went out of their way to accomodate us. They allowed pets (for a fee) and now our dog is spoiled for life! The pub was romantic, and the view was great.
The room was a nice size. No one should be booked in the room I stayed in. The air conditioner compressor interrupted my sleep throughout the night. Also, I wondered why I was placed in a room clearly designed for persons with disabilities. When I made the reservations I was simply told it was a King. It didn't appear (based on the peep-hole location in the door, and "door bell" that there were other rooms like that nearby.
Rooms are clean and well kempt. The night desk would have been more welcoming if they were actually genuine in greetings and didn't show displeasure in answering questions beyond their informational spiel. I had already traveled most of the day and really didn't appreciate the unpleasantness at such a nice hotel.
location is close major highways price is ok. check in is to late in the day was there less than twelve hours. no coffee in lobby or newspaper on weekends.
the bathrooms are very small and there is no fan in the bathroom. The price was high for getting nothing but a room. No breakfast included.
Room was ready at checkin. Front desk was helpful and quickly got us on our way. Liked the noon checkout. So many hotels are 10 or 11AM. Room was not as appealing as online pics. It was ok and we only stayed one night so it was manageable. Hotel was full and we were on the first floor. There seemed to be a lot of hallway and outside noise. Bathroom wasn't super clean either.
MY STAY WAS ENJOYABLE. HOTEL WAS CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE . STAFF WAS PLEASANT. CHECK - IN WAS FINE. BREAKFAST WAS A VARIETY AND GOOD. VERY CONVIENT.
breakfast was good; staff was friendly and accommodating; the location is excellent, with a very nice plaza/center of restaurants and shops within walking distance; we didn't make it to downtown Annapolis, but it is obviously also very close. the biggest negative was the dampness of the room - we stayed in July and it was really hot outside, and while the AC in our room made it cool, it also made it really damp, which ruined the stay for my wife. when we first got there, I had booked a room with two queens, and they initially put us in a one bed queen - not a big deal, just a minor inconvenience that was fixed immediately. also, one of the days they failed to clean our room and provide new towels, so I had to walk to the front desk to ask for more. the exercise room is very small: two or three treadmill/ellipticals, one exercise bike, and dumbbells up to 35 or 40 with little space to operate (no bench or racks of any kind); no pool
EVERYTHING WAS VERY NICE.!!!!!
Lovely, fresh and clean. Very welcoming! Location was charming and convenient . Loved my getaway! I was very pleased!!

Located very close to USNA Gate 1 - a short one minute walk. The lodging has excellent off-street parking included with the room, a very friendly and knowledgeable staff, plus the character and atmosphere of historic downtown Annapolis. No
Very Comfortable, Very Clean, Very close to EVERYTHING. We cannot wait to get back down. This place is worth every nickel!!!
reasonable room at a reasonable price weekend staff were not very responsive,i.e. request for bath towels took forever to arrive
Rooms were ready at noon, it gave us plenty of time to be prepared for the wedding ceremony. In the morning we had a lovely breakfast.
Beds were comfortable Had to call two different days, they forgot to give us towels, halls very noisy
I did not The rooms smell like mole dew and it start making me sick, I had to leave
location room was too small
A good alternative to the $400.00 plus per night cost in the historic district. Facility is dated; bath fixtures worn. Takes about 15 minutes to get to city dock with average traffic.
Good fresh waffles offered! Hot water was just tepid.
Clean bright room. Looked well kept. TV didn't have a sleep option.
Location, plus other family members stayed there. ULTRA cramped, tiny toilet, no kitchenette. Hung "Do Not Disturb" sign on doorknob while we were away, they came in anyway & disturbed stuff.
Staff was very pleasant and helpful Little further from attractions
Get no bill.with sjekk out. Later - when i shuld pay - the price was much higher.
The cookies and champagne were a warm welcome. Liked having access to a shuttle. All in all, a very nice hotel.
Agreed that the elevator is really small and used by staff and guests. The hotel, especially the Honors level was well appointed with refrigerator and microwave. The Exec center is TINY. The fitness room is well-appointed, but can be crowded in the morning. They offer complimentary earphones (new in plastic) for guests in the fitness center as the machines all have TV and audio. No Pay Per View movies in the rooms, which was very disappointing to my MID who wanted to watch movies in the room. The complimentary shuttle to/from the hotel is a really great deal. Enabled us to get to downtown without the hassle of parking! We would stay there again.
No smoking room smelled of cigaretts. Seemed to be coming from the A/C filter.
When I asked to change rooms because of the offensive odors on the third floor and in our room (301), the staff was very kind and helpful. The room we were relocated to (168) smelled of mold. I killed at least four roaches in the bathroom, the toilet was stained, the paint peeling off the inside of the tub.
The hotel was as expected for a Double Tree. Very nice place! The hotel was under staffed. We traveled in for a sporting event (the hotel was sold out), yet the front desk was short staffed and they were only running one shuttle to downtown.
HAving a bar and restaurant right in the hotel is always a plus but I found the staff and food to be excellent. I would not hesitate to visit this location again. I did not find anything to complain about. It was a very nice stay.
Location was reasonably close to all major shopping Quality of food in the restaurant was lacking
Always wanted to stay here because of the waterfront location. Some other reviews said it was cramped, loud and needed updating so we were a bit worried. Decided to spend the extra money and try it for the spring sailboat show. The room was clean, updated and it was quiet. Our room was late being ready due to arrival of bridal party, the manager noticed us sitting there with our things and personally checked on our room twice and tried to hurry it along. Was too cold to hang out outside. Hotel and restaurant staff was excellent A bit pricey. Thought the Restaurant menu was a little limited (but the food was good)
Cute decor! Quiet room. The room smelled unbelievably musty when we checked in.
Liked the location. Had use of refrigerator in hallway. Staff was friendly. Price was reasonable. Bed wasn't very comfortable. Room was dated. No snacks or food of any kind which was unusual for an Inn. It was like a bed and breakfast without the breakfast.
Unique rooms with an excellent location.
It was within walking distance of all downtown and academy. Staff was very accomadating. Our event ended after checkout but they gladly let us store luggage and change after, before driving ... a hidden jewel in Annapolis. No there was nothing not to like

It is in a great location. Cute little inn. It is hard at times to find a place to park to drop off and pick up your items
Amazing location and vintage atmosphere!
room comfortable ,,,what i expected all most everything ok
Room freezing cold or heating so noisy could not sleep
I LOVED the character of my room, even the creaky floors! The furniture was old and beautiful and my bed was super comfortable with lots of pillows. I went to close the blinds and they didn't work, so I went to draw the curtains which fell on me. I called the front desk and had to wait for a call back, which was prompt and by the time I got back from a 15 minute run for some food, the curtain was up.
The location was terrific right in the heart of Annapolis. USNA, Main St, City Dock, even Navy's football stadium were in walking distance. Staff was also wonderful and very accommodating. Parking at the Hillman Garage was easy and the discount was nice. Not much not to like.
