The hotel is cosy and location is ideal for longer stay in Sydney.
Pleasant staff, easy check in, parking and check out.
Room is large, location None
It was well positioned for Hyde Park. The elevators were fast. Taxis were easy to obtain I felt the staff were only superficerly politem and I felt processed according to the hotels needs.
Very close to City2Surf. Good hotel. Their exit survey took too long! (the hotel itself was great)
The exercise and pool/spa facilities where excellent I thought the breakfast menu could of been more simple food (ie. toast plain/ cerial etc) cost also for breakfast food could be a more economical.
Location was great. Good value and would definitely go back.
near to everything I stayed with my grandchild and her other grandmother who came for the first time to visit her. unfortunately my grandchild had an allergy and had to be taken to hospital. I just checked out after just one night and was charged for the whole day. the room was just cleaned when we had to leave. the hotel should not have charged me for the full day * i was destressed and unhappy paying this large amount for just one night!
The cocktail bar out the back was nice and the staff were friendly The rooms were not upto boutique standard and therefore it was quite expensive.
The sheets were nice! The shower was toooo dark and flooded the room when you used it. The hallways were very dark. Room was kinda small.BOOKINGS Online - we booked thru you but when we got to the hotel, they could not find our reservation even tho your site gave use a confirmation??????????
1. The web site overstates the quality of the rooms. They are very tired. 2. We ordered parking, but it did not eventauate despite being emailed that it was ok. 3. The air conditioning did not work. 4. The bathroom was not clean. 5. The staff were not very interested in our problems
The Hotel was very central and a good price for the location. Management is friendly and helpful. This Hotel is definitely not a 4 star Hotel. It was a good Hotel to stay in, but if one is looking for 4 star service, forget it. Cleaning of the Hotel rooms is not upto stardard. It never got vacuumed for the seven days I stayed and a sticky liquid that leaked from the fridge was not cleaned for the duration I was there. Room service a takeaway from a local restaurant that the receptionist delivers in boxes. Nice if the Hotel had less stars. I feel I was misled. Only recommend this Hotel if your looking for a basic and convinient city Hotel.
Close proximity to nightlife lack of parking
A great-value hotel in a fab location. It was clean, very tidy and modern and had everything we needed. The sound-proofing between rooms was a bit limited.
Great bar, friendly staff, clean room and great atmosphere. After paying for my room, I was asked to leave a deposit of $100. I have never done this before and found this to be annoying.
Location is excellent and the staff extremely helpful. Facilities are adequate. Lights in the room could be brighter.
I loved the location of the Kirketon. Darlinghurst is an amazing neighborhood. The staff was friendly and their bar is convenient. Their boutique look made this hotel stand out amongst the crowd. Near the Kings Cross subway line which can take you almost anywhere in the city. Also the local coffee shop down the street is great. The rooms were very small. Very tight fittings if traveling as a couple.
Lovely customer service. Its nice to see that for the cost of the room that there is still great customer service. The stairs. But thats because im lazy. :)
Super location right on happening Victoria Street, and close to Oxford Street. Room not fancy but decent and comfortable. Free WiFi somewhat unreliable, with a weak signal.
I absolutely loved the staff. They were incredibly friendly and helpful and were very accomodating. I had such a lovely stay that I would say nothing.
Beautiful design and artwork. The ambience of the cultural precinct. Breakfast on the rooftop with view of the opera house. Easy access to city centre and tourist venues. Free Wireless internet but does not in hotel rooms (need to use room near reception). Air conditioning struggled in heat of day.
The room was pleasant and reasonably well equipped. Note though that you need to pay attention to keeping the furnishings in good shape eg curtains were starting to fall off the tracks. Wireless internet not working
Convenient location. Noisy, a bit dated and worn.
Location and size of room.
Wonderful location in Kings Cross, lots of restaurants and bars near by! Only 20 minutes walking distance from George Street / center of the town. Free internet (very rare in Sydney) and it worked worked well. Hotel was nice and tidy, but a little worn already, specially kitchen and bathroom. Price / quality a bit too high, but on the other hand location was excellent
the location, the fact that it had a kitchenette, the rooftop- only some staff were friendly and helpfull on my first day the leg of my bed broke and wasn't fixed until I asked to change room. There were cobwebs in the bathroom. I bruised my forehead against the glass door accessing the rooftop and broke my sunglasses and when i mentioned to the receptionists that they should make sure that they put a note on the door to avoid other guests to get hurt, they only laughed at me.
Beautiful small hotel with character
The location was excellent We did not like not having facewashers tu use we had to go and purchase our own.
It's location, I needed to go into hospital for surgery at St Vincent Private Hospital& it was a 5min walk to get there so it was easy for my mum to go to & from whilst visiting. It wasn't very clean it needs to be renovated walls all patchy with different paint, it just looks very run down & dirty.
The view from my room.
good location. Nice view. Quick check in and out. Reasonable locker rent price No basic stuffs in the room: cup or glass for drink, refrigerator,
first night very ordinay second night in different room view was beautiful bunks should of been where double bed was and double bed by window not keen on not being able to make cup of tea in room charges for tea and toast $14 was rather excessive no seats at tables for tea and toast so you stand and eat charges for same was ridiculous
Room was bit smelly
Although hotel was very central if you want a good nights sleep i wouldnt recommened staying here the noise from both outside and inside was unbearable, the hotel. was very dirty with rubbish scattered along the corridors and on the entrance to the hotel
Acoustics are terrible. No supervision of guests. Most of the evening, a group of drunk guests were running between rooms yelling, swearing and slamming doors.
Reasonably central and easy to find, room was quite clean No sounds proofing at all... It is one of the noisiest rooms I have ever stayed in and we all had problems sleeping. We heard noise from the neighbouring rooms, corridor and the street.
It was a cheap hotel Carpet dirty, picture missing off wall. Overall feeling it was a dirty hotel. Bathroom and internet advertised but was very expensive and the bathroom shower did not have a stall, never experienced that before.
For the affordability of the place, cannot really complain. It is close to Kings Cross, easy to get to, and not too strict. It was a good night one of the rooms had a musty-type smell
it was the most expensive hotel during the 3 weeks that i have spent in Australia and the worst one very noisy and not very clean , very expensive for the por quality
