Excellent location in Sydney. Good lunch special.
The location!! It was only a short stroll to all the main attractions. We were not informed about a deposit prior to arriving and so that was an inconvenience for us. Other than that, it was perfect!
the fact that it was central to what we wanted to do We did not stay long enough to make an judgments
Close proximity to metro station and that is it. The facility is dirty, Hallways were vacuumed maybe a year or longer away. Large pieces of trash remain in hallway for days. The room service is mediorcre. Literally, they only change towels and straighten the upper most layer of the bed. They do not even tuck the sheets in. They never vacuum the room or wipe surfaces. It is disgusting at this hotel. Cups and glasses used are rinsed. My tea cup remains stained with tea residue that can be easily wiped when I ran my finger over it. When I complained to the front desk, I was told that room service is sourced-out and that is why it is lacking (this is not my problem, I need a clean room). I would never ever ever stay at a travelogue again, and more specifically this hotel at Waynyard. It is very shocking that a hotel which costs a good amount of money is lacking that much.
It had all the basics of a normal hotel, nothing special. I thought the staff were not very enthusiastic when I checked in. They just seem to be going through the motions.
Location centralized to many must see places in Sydney
Convenience to city and rail network The TV was next to useless!
Location was great. No WiFi access in rooms. Seemed to be charged for every little thing. Example: Internet access in the lobby business PCs cost $2 for 15 minutes of internet use.
Great location but pretty basic accomodation. They would not allow early check in. No wi-fi in rooms.
Staff, beds Room, ambience
the staff were very helpful, the food was good , the location was perfect for our purpose . no problems
The location of the hotel in relation to the other venues to which I was required to visit. This is not a dislike, more of an unpleasant observation. The room and corridors had an air of mustiness about them. Maybe as simple as the carpets need cleaning/freshening.
The location is great. The hotel is close to everything from shops, supermarket, office, parks, restaurants. The room is spacious and the bed was very comfy. Two towels of 4 were badly washed. They still have some stain in them. Breakfast could use more variety for the price they are charging. Some staffs at the conscious were not friendly.
I loved everything from the location of the hotel to the luxurious rooms and the beautiful architecture! The service was excellent! Nothing.
The hotel is a a great facility and in the middle of downtown Prices in all of Sydyn are extremely high. Parking was outrageous
Staff very helpful No pool. No bath. Found an old shoe under the bed. Not so clean.
Centrally located, spectacular water view, balcony for fresh air which is so rare for hotels these days. The poor positioning of the shower head and shelf must be a mistake. You need to stand flush against the wall to have a shower.
Free upgrade at check in to a room with a harbor view None
Convenient location, clean, modern There was a significant construction project blocking the front entrance and the street in front of the hotel during our stay.
The courtesy of staff and its location The rooms are quite small and the drains in the showers don't work well
Hotel staff were very helpful and catered to all needs, the location is excellent for shopping & night clubs.... and the best was the Buffet Breakfast
The spa was out of order for our last day
Quality hotel. Valet parking was efficient, rooms were as advertised i.e. clean, modern with a relaxing feel air-conditioning noisy when actually trying to fall asleep
TV in the shower! Nothing
Gym and Executive floor accessorites Nothing
Great location, some staffs were very nice and helpful During my last day I called for Bell to pick up my belongings but I waited 15mins and no one turn up so I end up carried them down myself.
It was my wife's 60th birthday and the little extra touches they did made the stay all the better. Great Hotel.
Outstanding and polite service; rooms were serviced as we indicated a desire with the appropriate "light" and excellent Executive lounge!
Good customer service. Slightly long check in time.
Staff were helpful and friendly. The pool was well-maintained. It's a really convenient location to shopping and food. Nothing really
The location and the staff are about the only likeable characteristics of this hotel. I paid $249 for an Advantage room requsted 2 double beds only to be told on checkin that the room only had one double bed. I then had to pay $50 to upgrade to an Executive room (a better room apparently) I failed to see the value which also included free drinks at the bar from 5.30-7.30 and breakfast which was the worst I have experienced at any hotel.
Totally I evaluate this hotel better than Grace Hotel nearby. Hotel's dining, serving Indian dishes every night is bit tiresome for the guest staying 10 days like me.
Central location difficult for car unloading in market street and small street lobby
location was great, the room was beautiful, friendly staff
Very good, spacious bathrooms with a separate shower. Overall, hotels in Sydney are quite expensive.
Clan/tidy room Reception staff not particularly friendly
Excellent central location, walkable to harbour and train station and monorail close by. 14 dollar by train to airport
perfect, with a first class concierge service
We enjoyed Sidney for WYD 2008 No. It was very comfortable.
room, the staff, and the location were all great nothing
Spacious room Delivery charges for room services
The convenient central location The room was somewhat dated, in particular the carpet needs to be replaced with something more colourful
Good location. The doors of interconnecting rooms don't stay open. An interconnecting room should have one door between them that the parents can control, not be two rooms. The ironing boards need foam underlays so guests are not ironing onto metal (did ring up and no underlays were available).
Excellent location when attending events at Cockle Bay and Darling Harbour. Staff were very pleasant. Bathroom clean but tiling ready for renovation.
Central location, Easy access to city shopping and transport and Darling Harbour shops and restaurants, 2 rooms adjoining but separate was wonderful. Inability for staff to help with air-conditioning problems in one room.
Close to the cbd and Darling Harbour for our stay. We had a wedding in Darling Harbour. A lot of traffic noise and general public leaving the Darling Harbour area late at night and early morning. If I did not have my wife and daughter staying with me I would have called the night manager to listen for themself the amount of noise coming from outside.
Hotel was convenient , quiet and a 5 min walk to harbour Older furnishings and bedding Pool & sauna old
great location for the city, theatre, restuarants & transport
The walls were disgusting they needed painting
Terrible! Very unclean. First. upon arrival we were told that we could not have a non smoking room (which we had booked months ago). If this was not to our liking we could swap the next day! Second. Room was not clean, and of course smelt of smokers. Third. We found a cockroach in the room. Fourth. Internet was charged at $24.95 per 24 hours, but was given to us free after mentioning that my booking through booking.com said it was free......should i go on?
Pre book hotel and had to pay a 1% surcharge for credit card usage. If it is you, do you think you would bring along large amount on cash to pay for your own hotel room? this surcharge was unnecessary. Again, is it necessary to charge another $100 on top of the total bill?
Overall apartment is spacious Worn out furniture in the apartment. Dish wisher did not work which caused the power switched off hence the fridge defrozed while we we out which was flooded the floor. We told them the problem 2 times but never resolved. One ceiling light was not working. Cutlery in the apartment only enough for 2 people, hence 2 sets each and all cutlery and crockery are mixed and matched. Glass top of side table was cracked and it could be dangerous to young children. There was one time we were in the lift with the hotel maintenance person holding a plunger who told us he just unblocked the toilet in one of the apartments. It seemed to us there might have a few maintenance problems in the apartments.
Cleanliness Broken freezer, water through fridge/old TV's (despite brochure showing flatscreen)/no minibar/bathroom old/double bed instead of queen/mirrored wardrobes
large clean room, nice bathroom shower only, staff excellent
The staff were great. The room was just what we needed for our city stay. The beds were comfortable & the kids loved the pool. Breakfast each morning was fantastic.
Friendly helpful staff
location and staff
The staff excellent. Any information you needed they were always willing to help and suggested the best way to get anywhere without having to pay outrageous prices. Gareth was outstanding. Always cheerful, friendly, very helpful and always made sure he asked how your day had been and if you had enjoyed your stay. Outstanding. If I did have to say 1 thing it would be only minor and that was the spa is way to hot 37/39, even in winter. Maybe 30/32. A few people did comment on how hot it was.
We very much liked the location of the Radission Hotel & Suites. The parking service offered by the hotel is a hugh plus. Check in was very efficient with room size and comfort a real surprise. For such a central city location city/traffic noise was never a problem. Try it - you'll like
The locotion of the hotel, as everything was close by.
Found the staff very helpful and hotel close to Darling Harbour
Buffet breakfast was good and the waiters were very warm / friendly. Had to wait over 1 hour for room to be available. The hot water system constantly ran out of water.
All service and staff were good
Very comfortable bed, room quiet although located on a busy road. Unable to change the temperature of the A/C which for us was too cold.
Continuous hot water The pricing for 'room service' I find to be quite over priced and the service in the breakfast cafe area is very slow.
The King Single bed was soooo comfortable, Bar 77 was excellent and breakky was great Not really
Very good value for money - all was as expected. Rooftop pool a bonus. Grace cafe, staff and food fabulous.
An excellent centrally positioned hotel which is comfortable, friendly and the cafe on the ground floor is great. Would like some packets of biscuits to have with a cup of tea in the room!
This is a great hotel! We also stayed at the Intercontinental, but the The Grace is actually alot nicer. It has a unique ambience and feeling to it with the old building, mixed modern/classic interior and sublime staff.
the size of our room, the cleanness, the old fashion decor, easy to get to , in the middle of the city
The men at the concierge went above and beyond to help us. I truly appreciate everything they did to make our stay pleasurable.
clean comfortable room good location to CBD..the very friendly and competent staff theywere all very efficient .They made you feel welcome and such pleasant manners great staff nothing
Staff were pleasant and very helpful especially when I relaised I had left something in my room, The room itself was medium in size but it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was central especially to shopping and close to Darling Harbour.
Location was fantastic Everything was very clean and worked in both the rooms and the rest of the hotel Wifi was somewhat spotty and slow. Would have liked the fitness center to include a larger variety of items instead of just a few treadmills and some light weights
Most comfortable bed in comparison to others including Sheraton on the Park. Staff were friendly and helpful. Being invited for drinks by the hotel.
Close to all city experiences (opera house, shops, restaurants etc) Asked for 2 single beds, rather than queen/double, but none available. Windows were dirty. No outlook - we had a grand 1 bedroom apt. TV was small and old fashioned
location is ideal
rooms had plenty of space.it was very quiet. bed comfortable. balony was great. located so close to city and darling harbour.staff were so helpful.
It was amazing place, SOOOOOO close to the Harbour. Clean and staff very helpful.
Location to Darling Harbour
The staff went out of their way to help us (we arrived to check in at 9am) by holding our bags, guiding us to cafes and endeavoring to get our room ready as early as possible. Then we got late checkout. Excellent! No on site laundry (except in certain rooms).
It was clean, the staff were very helpful. Within walking distance to most places.
The localation was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpfull, it was also verty affordable The only bad thing I could say about the room was it was a little on the small side
This apartment hotel was well equipped and conveniently located in easy walking distance between Darling Harbour with all its restaurants and attractions and the main city shopping precinct. The Lime Cafe was very reasonably priced and provided room service.
Room was perfect for our 4 day stay in Sydney..close to everything and its nice to have a kitchen and windows/doors you can open. Nothing really except maybe a smile etc from the reception staff wouldn't go astray..
Its location to the event I was attending, would be a great flocation for tourists
Location is good Staff was not very friendly
The hotel was within a reasonably short walk to the harbor bridge, yet also within walking distance of other attractions (like Chinatown which was a great place to visit during the Chinese new year festivities). In particular, the staff was very helpful. The concierge made a great recommendation for a hole in the wall (Chat Thai) and one of the women at the front desk went out of her way to help me plan things to do over my 3 day stay. I really appreciate that they took the time for me. The room was also nice (but it was the most expensive room I booked during my stay in Australia). My recommendation is to do your research and most importantly book early. After I booked I saw room prices skyrocket as I got closer to my travel dates, but that might have been unusual due to it being the Chinese New Year, or maybe there was some other event that took up all the rooms. I wouldn't have been willing to pay as much the room went up to but ~$250 was doable. Flights into Sydney from abroad must all arrive in the early morning. Every day there seemed to be a number of people waiting in the lobby as their rooms weren't ready yet. I understand hotels can't check people in too early, but it would have been great had the hotel been able to get me in before lunch. Instead I found myself roaming the city by foot for a good while.
Quiet, modern, good eating options, central, spacious bathroom
Amazing way to start the day with amazing breakfast buffet. Giovani is our favorite... Always helping and welcoming. A hard worker with excellent attention to detail The laundry staff needed prodding several times. There were never enough towels in our room and despite several kind notes to remind them, they were ignored. The dining room at dinner should be ignored, as staff was clueless for dinner... But that was transformed for breakfast, which was a highlight.
Hotel staff were very helpful with any personal requests Everything came at a cost including the drinking water
Air conditing not working properly - still not cool after asking for attendance to problem Also - had to ask to have room floor cleaned
The food at the hotel is rather expensive....eat out, it's cheaper.
that we got up-graded and the buffet breakfast was so delicious
Staff were so nice and friendly and nothing was any trouble for them. Couldn't get shower to run hot; then shocked by the amount of water wasted in these showers.
Friendly and professional staff, lovely clean rooms and great location, close to all attractions but not loud or noisy at night time. The pool in the hotel is not heated, and as it is on the roof even though it was warm wather it was too cold to use. Also, we may have braved it and dealt with it being a bit cold however it clearly hadn't been cleaned in months as it was full of bugs, which ruled out us using it whatsoever. As this was one of the reasons we booked here it was a little disappointing, however not a massive issue really as we still had a lovely time.
Required a bit of updating/modernisation. A little shabby. Pictures on Internet decieving.
The room No restaurant/breakfast in room
Room was clean and comfortable. Within walking distance to everything.
Very centrally located! Excellent value for money!
easy access to the shops trains darling harbor circular quay food outlets easy for our friends to find have mentioned this one before but shower is rather small even for average person and the taxi service across the road
So central, could walk to a range of places. Easy to pick up a taxi. Can't think of any.
The shower was fantastic (really important) and the shampoo gel etc very easy to access.
we enjoyed the shopping....the hop on hop off bus was ok. your desk staff were helpfull and pleasant on everything was all fine
The location was excellent and the view from the pool area great. Would have liked some pool towels available. The car parking was hard to find and very tight for larger cars.
I really really loved the hotels location. Great night life and close proximity to all the sights and hotspots in the Sydney area. It was easy to Get where we wanted to be by walking, or taxi. The only thing that I didn't like was when we checked into our hotel room, there was a McDonalds take out bag full of old eaten McDonalds food. It was gross
The staff were nice Room wasn't as nice as the pictures on the website! The design wasn't very welcoming or comfortable, the view wasn't nice either.
The location offered a good balance between access to city centre shopping and to beaches and beyond via transport hubs
Location. Friendly Staff. Apartment design & View.
It was a beautiful and a lovely room and wonderful staff. I lovedmit all
I enjoyed all that was offered ,I loved the view from our suite and the design and luxury of the rooms.
Very comfortable room, great facilities and friendly helpfull staff, great location.
The fact it was self contained with everything you would need and came with all the things i was looking in a hotel for the weekend which other's did not offer. Did not like the bed, was too soft and often too warm with two people sleeping in the bed together.
It was close proximity for shopping and where we chose to dine. We thought the views were going to be better.
Easy and friendly check in. Comfortable rooms and beds. On checking out we asked if we could leave the car in their car park for a few more hours whilst we went for brunch and shopped and this was not a problem which I was very impressed with.
Very nice facilities, nice location Very high charge for internet access ($25 day). There's no need for this kind of gouge at a facility like this.
was pleasantly surprised at the amount of applicances we got for a studio room. perfect location. 24hr reception i believe.
Excellent location with very comfortable accomodations for a family.
The staff were great the location was great. The oven and the dishwasher was covered in mould. We did not use the kitchen as it was very dirty, the bathrrom was not that clean neither.
The location of the hotel was great. The Mantra 2 is located on George St., which is the main street in downtown city. The hotel is located less than three blocks from the Opera house, ferry port, the rocks, and Coles supermarket. What a place, what a staff!
Good location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was large and comfortable.
ordered room service for myself and friends on my 2nd night. The food was so bad I did not eat or drink anything further during my 10 day stay.
Central location, close to shopping, entertainment, food etc. Additional request included in booking request was not actioned - or even acknowledged. When requested, was acted upon poorly.
convenient location housekeeping staff knocking at 9am on the day of check out?!
Professionalism of staff. Twinings teabags. Good sound insulation from other rooms. Beeping noise from a nearby garage roller door or something similar. Our room smelt of cigarette smoke and there was an unemptied ashtray on the balcony so we asked to be moved, this was professionally handled by reception desk. Saw one staff member lighting up a cigarette within a metre of front door of hotel one evening, and it is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel.
Staff, rooms facilities were excellent and I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.
Location is Excellent, Good price for a city saty Rooms need to have an iron & ironing board in them, rather than having to use a community room on a different floor.
Traditional, friendly hotel. All staff value your custom and work hard to make your stay enjoyable.
free beer voucher
good lacation is the only advantage of this hotel. dirty, noisy, can't believe it's 4 stars hotel.
It is at the city center, close to almost anywhere I want to be. And there's a convenience store right next to it! I could hear the next door guest flushing the toilet. I have a concern but I already filled out the hotel survey form and submitted it to the hotel front desk for their attention.
Location, Reception friendly and helpful service Rooms were small, additional charge for breakfast.
Good central position in the center of Sydney, a lot of facilities very close Our room was located in front of the hotel and we heard too much the noise of the street. (the upper window of the bathroom could not be closed ...)
very central and easy access to all parts of city Air conditioning didnt work
Comfort and luxury and convenient location together with helpful staff and spacious lobby.
Excellent location, close to public transport, shops and businesses. The decor and furniture and fittings were lovely. Comfortable and quiet. A pleasing atmosphere.
