Pros:Good car at a reasonable rate.
Cons:The wait for the checkout was quite long. It seemed like the process was not nearly as automated I'm used to.
Pros:The car was ready on time and the staff person completed all the paperwork quickly. The car was nicer than expected. They didn't have the class of car that we reserved so they gave us a free upgrade. We thought we were going to get something like a Toyota Corolla but they gave us a Honda Accord instead.
Cons:When I got there the price that you quoted for both days was only valid for day 1. Ad then when I extended by a day,it was raised again. Most other car rentals I have used get the chargecorrect up-front.
Cons:I got to the counter and was told that Thrifty had not had a presence at the Syracuse airport for several months. I had a panic attack, then booked another car with a different search tool. I won't use Hotwire or Kayak again
Cons:Made reservations on 1/21/18 for rental dates of 2/16 to 2/20. When we arrived at the airport on the morning of 2/16, we were informed by other car rental agencies that Thrifty had closed up permanently about a week prior, not only at the airport location but at all locations that the one franchisee/owner operated. We were not informed by any means, which left us scrapping for another car. We were able to obtain one through Budget/Avis, but unfortunately we were unable to get the size car we wanted. Any car is better than no car, but had the Thrifty franchisee/location owner informed us at the time they closed, we would have been able to search out a car from another agency. Poor management and ownership representation. Would like to give ZERO stars.
Pros:After making the reservation with Kayak, Throfty car rental ended up not having any cars available once I checked in at the counter in Syracuse. It was after 11pm. Luckily I was able to get another car with another rental company but paid a lot more.

Pros:The car was new clean well equipped and very comfortable
Cons:When I returned the car they added a $4.99 per day trip saver fee. I h ad a flat tire and called Thrifty and Joe told me to call AAA. I had to find an exact match of the tire or pay for the tire and pay again to replace it on return. I finally found someone who had a match for the tire over 30 miles away while driving on a donut. I lost a day of traveling time and had an extremely hard time finding a hotel as it was Paris Island Marine Boot Camp Training Graduation weekend. I finally found a room at Country Inn and Suites in Beaufort S.C. (the management there gave us a room with little water pressure but it beat sleeping in the car because we couldn't drive on the spare Thank Goodness for them) So I ask what is the $4.99 per day Trip saver fee when I am told to call my own triple AAA.
Cons:Rate advertised when booked was special, "compact" - to be a vehicle "compact or larger" to be determined upon arrival. Upon check-in attendent said that rate was for whichever vehicle they have the most of, which in this case was 12-passenger vans. Driving a 12 passenger van was a rediculous option for my purpose, so I asked for a compact vehicle. She said they had none. The only other viable vehicle available was a luxury, which they said they would discount. Cost ended up being $310 instead of booked rate of $120. I'm very unhappy and diasappointed. Also after getting vehicle I smelled, and noticed marijuana crumbs on center console storage area.
Cons:We reserved a Full size and it was too small so had to upgrade and it cost us more. Don't feel the Ford Full size is a true FULL size car
Pros:Friendly staff
Cons:No manual in car, no insurance or registration paperwork, car was not clean, did not run right, evidence of smoking in car from previous renters.
