Cons:I took out an insurance policy but it only worked with certain credit cards, this was not thrifty’s fault, the online booking was misleading.

Cons:I got a phone call the evening before, from someone who did not speak English, who told me that there are no cars available. My credit card was charged for the insurance nonetheless.

Cons:Rip off on insurance. Won’t recognize credit card coverage. Make you buy insurance for 25 euro/day and still doesn’t cover first 950 euros. Drop off personnel rude and find minor damage that did not really happen

Pros:Car was clean and new.
Cons:We booked a Thrifty economy car at Shoenefeld airport and was given a Hertz car of a smaller category, making it a squeeze for the back seat passengers, and with the total bill about double that of the quote. The only thing we added was the cost of taking to Czech Repulic. It was too late at night to argue. Very annoying.

Pros:Comfort, cleanliness, value, staff were super! Delighted overall!
Cons:The car was advertised as 5 people and 4 suitcases. There is absolutely no way four carry-on size suitcase and five people could fit in the Ford Fiesta we were given. It might be more correctly labeled as 5 people 2 suitcases as there were five seat belts and we did get two standard carry-on suitcases in the trunk. We managed with 4 people and smaller pieces of luggage and small backpacks. There might be that much actual volume in the truck; however, fitting four carry-ons in the truck is not possible.

Cons:Kayak needs to be clear that thrifty will not allow you to use your own insurance unless you have it in writing from you credit card company which of course no one does in an airport. Had to call back to Usa to credit card company and spend thirty minutes on phone to have them email document. Even then, Thrifty staff first try and get you to pay without telling you that you can get around it and also try to get you to pay for premium insurance without giving you the cheaper option
