quaint - cheerful friendly hosts - lovely & super clean front bedroom has a very slanted floor - understandable due to the age of the building. but still uncomfortable a little when sleeping. Also front bedroom had a lot of traffic noise all night.
Friendly and full of old charm. Good breakfast. Close to the castle and the shops. A hum all night possibly the freezer nay just be the room we were in.
Location and cHARCTER of building
Location was good and the history and looks of the hotel The wecome was dreadful room was dirty we had lunch when we arrived and had to ask for my money back as my wifes chilli was full of grissal and fat. I think if we had not got our money back I would have gone to another hotel to stay
The best thing about The Tudor House Hotel would have to be it location due to our visit to Warwick Castle, however a close second would have to be its charm and atmosphere. A bit overpriced, the four poster bed was not as impressive as I thought it would be,and did not really fit in the room.
it is a beautifully preserved old building with lots of character and very close to town centre the website description about there being parking on site is very misleading. we checked in at 2.15 & were told that the only 3 spaces they have were all taken; the woman who checked us in was very rude & abrupt & didn't care that all the parking spaces were taken. 'not her problem' was the attitude; rather unwelcoming
The staff were friendly, the breakfast was good. The bed was very hard and creaky. The bar had intrusively loud music - so we didn't stay there to eat in the evening.
Food was good No real bad points, Hotel is old and showed in decor
Charming building, shared rooms (breakfast room, etc.). Staff was quite nice The bed in room 10 was not only terrible (springs sticking up no matter what position I tried to adjust myself into) and should be replaced or topped with an actual mattress. I've never had such a bad bed in a hotel/motel. Additionally, apparently you also have poisonous spiders. I awoke from what little sleep I got on my second night's stay with a rather large welt on my side below my arm, and my arm at the point where it had rested against my side. I checked out; took train to London, and by evening the welt had grown to 12cm x 24cm, turned redhot in temperature and also purple-red in color and my entire right arm ached so terribly, I thought it might be a heart attack. Also raised my blood pressure to 160/103, which is terribly high and dangerous. Turns out it was a black widow, the dr.s think. You have black widow spiders in the guestroom and bed of room 10. I was really quite ill with it for 48 hours. As if the mattress being uncomfortable was not more than enough to rank this location very poor, indeed.
The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly which complimented the wonderful food and ambiance of the restaurant/pub. The room was clean, tidy but a little cold and the tv couldn't be tuned but that would not prevent me from returning at the earliest opportunity.
We found that all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bedroom was very comfortable with a good ensuite. The breakfast was individually cooked for us and there was a good choice of menu. The location was ideal, right in the centre of Warwick. We would like to return to Warwick and will definitely stay at the Rose and Crown. Thank you.
Staff were really friendly pub was beautiful! Nice food, room was very nice and the shower was amazing nice and big and pressure was really good A tad noisy but its a pub so really didnt bother us at all to be honest
Room ready when we arrived a little earlier than expected. Very warm welcome, Excellant dinner & breakfast. Could do with central heating & double glazing
great food (even the breakfast was awesome!) and excellent staff! We arrived quite late at night (10pm), and we were not able to have hot food, but they let us have some great cold platter and soup of the day. all were so delicious and nicely presented that we were so touched! Our shower in the room were somewhat broken and we could not use hot water - but we were promptly offered to use the shower at other room, which were great!
No hairdryer in the room.
Central position, easy access to shopping and parking. None
Noise from the visiting Mop Fair. No double glazing to windows and bathroom had only a small towel heating rail to heat the large bathroom.
Excellent location, delicious food, good wine selection.
Great hotel, superb staff and excellent food. Ideally positioned in the centre within easy walking distance of all attractions Parking is a pain having to transfer from road to multistorey and back
Everybody in the hotel was so friendly that made us to feel like homeand we woldn't mind that the building is a little old. The breakfast was really good, and the man who serves it was exceptionally friendly. The room was clean and confortable. I did not find anything wrong in the hotel.
Visited Warwick Castle
Located close to attractions at Warwick. Hotel well maintained. Clean, neat and tidy.
The apartment accomadation was spot on for what we as a family wanted. Space to relax and a great location. Basically a home from home.
The food and service very basic
Location, location, location! The food was excellent value as well. As you would expect from a very old building, the rooms were fairly small and stairs could be a struggle for elderly people.
friendly staff and good food
Comfortable room, nice enviroment. Wireless web access. Missed having a table and chair in the room.
Staff were helpful and friendly, food very good. Room very small and seriously in need of updating.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was old and had character.
Hotel clean. Staff courtious and efficient and very helpful. Car park not really large enough
My room was quiet. Shower in my room did not work, went to find someone in the breakfast room and waited 5minutes, in the end went back to the room and came back. Had to use a room opposite which was not convenient. Selection of cereals and breads for breakfast consisted of "cornflakes or weetabix, and only white bread for toast". I booked through a different booking agent to someone else and paid more for a smaller room - this should be taken into consideration if you have paid more you should be given the better room as I see it as poor value for money.
Small but clean, warm room. Lovely hot shower with bath sheet - more than expected! Disappointed with the television. Very small and unable to find 2 of the basic 5 channels.
Not a lot Vfm staff attitude
The restaurant served good pub grub. When we entered the room it smelled wonderful and was very warm.
Excellent service friendly staff Very noisy in the bar area too noisy to have eaten in the evening
Friendly staff Poor food, need of modernisation
Friendly staff, lovely breakfast, overall very good. Door to stairs very difficult to open, even when sober!
Close to Warwick town centre, close enough to destination we were visiting. The room dirty, cheap fittings, total lack of comfort; the venue - the pub was seedy and grubby; the food - lack of choice; value for money - poor - would not stay there again if you paid me.
