I had to return the original vehicle due to engine trouble. I was given a new vehicle. The exchange was flawless. I was very impressed and satisfied with the ease of the transaction.

Pros:

They did not have enough cars for customers, blamed spring break. Stranded people were upset. I got a car as a favor it seemed. But it was old and dirty inside and out (while Covid-19 is still going on), it felt gross, I wiped driver's area myself. I had to ask to get the dirty glasses cleaned. Also dashboard signaled car needing service. Card processing tool was malfunctioning. I had to ask how tolls work in Florida, no info offered. Gave me wrong closing time (on paper, and verbally by the kind but uninformed rep who processed my pick-up) thus I found location closed at drop-off! The representative locked in the office was reluctant to offer assistance. Stressful. It all felt chancy, unreliable, unsettling.

Cons:

Should be prepared with sufficient vehicles to match bookings. Clean the cars well. Have knowledgeable and proactive staff. Have consistency in published business hours on all platforms. Provide right info on paper. Have an automated system to send a alert text to renters with drop-off location and time the day before. And, answer the phone!!

I had a reservation but when I went to pick up the car at the assigned time there were NO CARS AVAILABLE. Unforgivable.

The issue was really with Rentalcars.com. We tried to rent at the Miami airport, but got there and realized the rental was at a Hertz offsite. That site closed at 2pm. We were scheduled to pick the car up at 2pm. It never would have worked out. The problem wasn’t necessarily with Hertz, but we weren’t able to get a car at all.

The gentleman that we worked with was super friendly and kind! He went above and beyond to make sure that we had an awesome experience. Overall I loved everything about the rental and will be doing business with you guys again in the future!

drop of was easy - just left the keys in a box next to the guy sitting there at the desk playing on his cellphone.

<<>> I had reserved a mustang but then when we got there we got a Camaro. The car was dirty when we picked it up. It had dents and some scuffs on outside of the car - which that doesn't bother me but I will not be responsible for those scuffs bc I did do them. When we picked up the car our luggage would not fit (didn't get the car I reserved for) and the young man(the one playing on his phone) was in a quick hurry to leave since they closed at 2pm. I went back in to ask him about the air conditioner and he was gone - no where to be found. So we were stuck with a car with no air for a 3 hour drive to our destination. I had called the next day and could not get a representative to answer. So I called again to report that the air conditioner did not work properly in the car and the fact that the car was dirty inside and out from previous use. The woman on the phone ( I sadly did not get her name) was VERY kind and VERY helpful and tried to find me a replacement near where I was staying. I was told that someone from Hertz would contact me about the issue and I have yet to hear from anyone. (I am back home now so I obviously do not need a rental) She gave me case #210070901. She said that I should be compensated for the trouble/issues with the vehicle - which I think I should. I do not want a voucher for a next time rental bc there will not be one from me for Hertz. The car was ok. Return was easy

Cons:

The original hertz location could have stayed open longer then 230pm so I could have gotten my rental and not have had to deal with multiple phone calls and an all day ordeal

Pros:

The car ran great, no issues. The cost was good.

Cons:

The rental desk was vacant for probably 25 minutes when we first arrived. I called the number for assistance and there was a bit of a language barrier. Once the employee showed up, he was very nice and there were no issues. Perhaps a little better staffing could help the drop off/pick up experience.

Pros:

I booked the reservation to drop off the car at 4pm on a Sunday. When I contacted Hertz, they told me that the drop off location would be closed at that time and that I would have to either drop it off earlier that day or drop it off the next day. I had a tight schedule, so I could do neither of these. I had to cancel my reservation and use Uber.

Returned car one hour late as thought it was due back an hour later. Avis charged me $58.00 for the one hour. The rate per day was $26.00. This is outrageous and total piracy. So ridiculous and stealing from customer. I am a business client so was shocked at this unethical business practice. Beware of Avis!!

Pros:

Friendly staff, loved the Chrysler 300.

Cons:

My initial flight was delayed so I called asking if I could pick up the car the next day, I was told it wouldn't be a problem but the person I spoke with didn't ask my name or reservation number. When I got there the next day, there were no Chrysler 300's available and I got a Kia Optima that smelled like body odor. I was able to take it to the airport Avis and get the Chrysler thankfully, and everyone was great that I dealt with, but obviously it would have been ideal to get the car I requested at the location I planned. Otherwise I would have just gone to the airport spot.

Pros:

The car was ready at arrival

Cons:

Car was dirty on outside a quick wipe down was done prior to my arrival however it was still very dusty. Inside of vehicle were carpet stains, build up of food in cup holders and faint smell of cigarette smoke. Vehicle would stutter sporadically while on the road. I was concerned throughout the whole trip the car may need service
