United's flight was delayed by 6 hours, couldn't make the connecting flight from Washington DC to Denver so they routed me to san francisco, spend the night at the airport there and then travel to Denver in the morning. Fortunately there was a very helpful crew in Schiphol that was able to get us on a flight with american airlines to philadelphia and then on to Denver.
Flexibility in changing reservation at the last minute. Excellent service on board, good food.

This ridiculous airline and it's rude, obnoxious staff in Chengdu made a mockery of my friend and I (two 21 year old American girls traveling alone). We had booked round trip tickets back in October 2017 that included a 1 hour layover in Chengdu first, then a 7 hour layover in Shanghai on our way to Bangkok for a trip in Thailand. That was fine with us. Then all of a sudden it changed to a 6 hour layover in Chengdu then an 18 HOUR layover in Shanghai. We decided to deal with it and get a hotel room in Shanghai, no big deal. After a great trip in Thailand and leaving fine from Bangkok to our first layover in Chengdu, that is where the nightmare started. First off, going through Chengdu customs, I don't know if it is because Americans do not travel through there a lot, but the officers pulled us aside and were passing around our American passports around their staff, taking pictures of them with Iphones before handing us "in-transit" paperwork to fill out. As weird as that was, no one really seemed to speak english and we just wanted to get away from them and get through. When we went to the check in counter, they handed me a boarding pass for our flight at 1:50 that afternoon, but then proceeded to tell my friend that she wasn't on a flight until the next morning at 7 am out of Chengdu and our original connecting flight out of Shanghai at 11:50 the next morning was now at 8 pm for her. What could have been simply fixed like it WAS after calling priceline and our travel agent, the staff at the ticket counter and a representative over the phone made our lives living hell. They barely spoke english and the ones that did were very rude to us, saying that they couldn't help us and put us on the phone with China Eastern. FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF we were on the phone with a representative who was talking us in circles, telling us that there were no available seats on the 1:50 and that he could get her on the next 3:45 out of Chengdu, then put us on hold to come back and say he couldn't only change 1 domestic flight in China, but would have to cancel her flight to NY. When offering to pay to just DO IT and get out of china, he said that if he were to cancel it and take our credit card info, it "may or may not go through" and if it didn't she would be stuck with no flights. When asked how that made any sense, he proceeds to say" Because miss, our system sucks," and other rude things like "Why can't you just keep your flight and meet your friend in NY." then him along with a rude ticket counter guy say that he could help us if we took 5,000 yuan out of the bank and paid them cash. TRYING TO SCAM US. After all this drama a simple call to priceline was able to fix the problem no payment involved, and there WERE available seats on all the flights and a domestic flight could be changed. LYING, SCAMMING, RUDE, individuals. Definitely worth a little more money to take any other airline BUT THIS ONE.

I liked the check-in kiosk, but only because I had no bags to check. I liked being able to choose my own seat. I liked that the flight was uneventful. I liked the staff at all stages, they were friendly and helpful.
They made me shove my purse into my knapsack to fit within their two bag policy. That's a first for me. My Delta flight did not do that.
I've always wanted to go to all five Manhattan boroughs in one day. Thanks to Delta, that happened.
The plane broke down as we were about to take off. Delta rebooked everyone on to new flights because it was pretty obvious that plane was not going to be fixed in time. The crew did their best given the situation. The situation was absolute bs though - we had to take a cab to JFK for our new flight and do the whole security thing again and all that annoying stuff. Thanks for wasting 8 hours of my life, Delta.

They lost all of our luggages(five pieces) and never attempted to locate them at LAX. Which were transferred from United airlines. It took eight contacts and finally reaching out to LAX office in 36 hours later, they located the luggages in 45 minutes. asiana from Inchon office kept on telling me that it is in LA office’s hand and yet they weren’t willing to call for LA office’s assistance. They were simply relying on the process which has been broken. Then upon the delivery, the driver informed us the severe damage in my tumi bag.
Long delay in a small departure area with not enough seats especially for seniors. It took a while before we were allowed to board the plane. Everyone is complaining.

We ended up being deleyed about 30 minutes, in damp weather. It's not like it was snowing. Not sure why it took so long. B/c of baggage charges now everyone brings a carry on. This seems to slow the process of boarding as know passengers are asked multiple times to check baggage (for free, which is the one nice thing) before boarding b/c the overheads will be too full. Group 6 which I was in seemed like it was just the rest of the plane. Super busy, took me forever to get to my seat all the way in the back. Why don't airlines reverse board? People sitting in the back should board first. I feel like this would save so much time.
Plane was delayed 1.5 hours. Rental Car reservation was at a location 30 miles from the airport, not the airport rental location. Had to transfer reservations which cost an extra $30...
I liked having the built in screen on the a321. Americans streaming service has lots to offer but the built in screens have more choices. I get why they want to just offer the streaming but I appreciate all the choices! There was a group number enforcer at the gate to make boarding more organized! She was polite but told the mobs that try to use the premium line to wait their turn.
I asked for upgrades to and from Chicago. I’m a gold member and fly for leisure fairly often. There are so many people looking for an upgrade these days that you’re rarely getting the opportunity

The crew at the airport and on the plane were excellent. We were on a family holiday with young ones and the crew really took care of our needs. They were extremely courteous and attentive.
The inflight entertainment options could be more current. We found the options limited... it was a good thing that the flight was short.

The seat was nice
Service was extremely slow, it took almost two hours just to get offered a drink. There wasn't any offering after boarding and I had to ask just to get water. The food was quite bad, normally I would choose the Japanese meal, however, both the Japanese and International options were poor. The staff seemed unorganized and did not follow a set protocol.

It was my first time flying with EVA. I have nothing bad to say. I will fly with them again and again.
I actually didn't fly QR. My RJ light from TLV to AMM was delayed by approx 2 hours. I asked to be taken off the flight in order to fly the day after from TLV to LCA and take QR. However the RJ gate agents explained that there are over 40 people on the flight that need to take the QR from AMM and that the ties between RJ and QR are very strong and the QR flight will wait the necessary 15 minutes. However, as we landed in AMM we saw the QR aircraft push back 5 minutes earlier than the scheduled departure. We got stuck in AMM and the RJ people were nice but totally inefficient and claimed that they were limited by their corporate procedures. I asked to be put on an Etihad flight that was scheduled to leave 2 hours later and that would put me at the end of the day in MAA (my destination) around 2.5 hours later which was acceptable in my eyes. The transfer desk agent said he is going to arrange it, disappeared for 45 minutes and then came and told me this is already too late for Etihad (it was not) and anyway they cannot let me take Etihad since they are not a part of "One World". I argued a bit and he said ok went to teh back office and disappeared for another 20 minutes. at that point he came and told me that all is taken care of and here is my new flight and proceeded to show me an itinerary which took me through BKK to MAA but the AMM-BKK flight will leave only at 0130 at night (this was around 1430) and get to BKK in the afternoon tomorrow. Then I will have to wait in the airport another 8-9 hours to fly to MAA. hence 2 nights without sleep staying at airports. BTW, I was the only Business/first passenger but this did not confer on me any special treatment. I refused to take this route and at the end asked them only to get me back to TLV and there I will change the whole route and go tomorrow on QR from LCA. I had to wait at AMM airport until 2100 and only now - 2300 - reached home which I left at 0600 this morning. BTW, i don't think that they restored my ticket to its original form (which was a full QR ticket covering also the RJ and Pegasus flights. but I was too tired to argue. I will postpone my trip by one more day and change the route to avoid another debacle like this one. Also, I chatted with the QR people in Amman, and ithey claim that they were not told that the RJ from TLV had 40 passengers connecting through them. This is the absolute opposite of what the RJ people claimed. Last, all his is without even mentioning the issues this delay caused since I have people who came specifically for this, waiting for me in MAA and God only knows when I will manage to get there and whether or not they will wait for me. Guys, you have to do something about this. I am quite a regular flyer and this is the worst experience I had.

1. The boarding process at Istanbul airport was horrible. No one could speak or understand english. My father was on a wheelchair and he was the last one to be boarded on the plane! There was so much confusion - some people wanted me to go separately from him, others wanted him to walk down the stairs on his own, etc. etc. There were hardly any announcements for people with special needs. Generally they are allowed to board first as they need more time to settle. I could barely find overhead bin space for his stuff. 2. There were several remote controls broken on the plane. A lot of people had to suffer through a non working entertainment screen. 3. One of the hostess was hardly listening to anything I had to say. She seemed to be in so much of a hurry and had a very bad attitude.

I was coming from Sydney and I have to hurry up to take the other fly to Newark and didn’t have time to buy for nothing to eat but I was very surprised they didn’t offer me anything on the plane and when I ask they I have buy it online and didn’t have many choices anyway, I very disappointed with this fly.
Virgin Atlantic continues to give great service. Their lounges are way above all other airline lounges. It is difficult to get well prepared and fresh fish in lounges, but Virgin Atlantic knows how to do it.
Talk about an awesome experience. I loved the friendly staff and the accommodations were superb. I could ask for no better. Even the food was excellent.

Rather than boarding economy passengers by row number, there is a free-for-all at the gate, and tedious blockage in the aisles as passengers wait for others to place carry-on luggage. More leg-room than United, but still a bit crowded for tall people. VERY BAD DESIGN of arm-rests, which do not go up all the way into the seat but instead jut out at an angle.
We like being able to check our ski equipment without extra charge. Service is consistently professional and courteous.

The 777 was tired. Tray tables weren’t clean and it was fitted with seats that did not recline. Most uncomfortable!
Seats had good headrests with adjustable "wings" to cradle head while sleeping. USB plug below entertainment screen.
A good half the plane was first class and business class. (This was a 15 hour Hong King to Boston flight.) They handed out a fancy menu with 4 entrees but by the time they got to economy only pasta was left. We did at least get a small bottle of water; on our outgoing flight they doled it out in meager glasses. When boarding in Hong Kong we had to go through an additional security check between the gate and the plane (that was a first...) and had our water bottles confiscated. So we were reliant on what they would give us on the plane. Seats were tight, unlike some airlines that give you a little extra room. Wouldn't fly again unless their price was a real bargain.
I enjoyed the good check in service, and the excellent lounges. As always, the overall level of service on Cathay was good.
The utterly appalling seats on Cathay's old B777s are unacceptable for a premium airline. Non-reclining economy seats which are desperately uncomfortable for any flight of more than 1 hour, and completely unsuitable for an overnight flight. These planes desperately need a refit. Best avoided until this has been completed. The flight was overbooked, and the cabin crew seemed stressed and very busy. As a long term frequent flyer with CX, this was a very disappointing experience.

Legroom is poor but unlike the Newark-Athens leg, I was able to get an aisle seat that allowed me to stretch a bit. Choice of English language movies is poor. Depending on the price I would still prefer the Delta non stop flight from US to Greece because of the movie choices and ease of use of remote control.
