There is also an exception for travelers with the following visas: A-1, A-2, C-1, C-1/D, C-2, C-3, CR-1, CR-2, D, E-1 (as an employee of TECRO or TECO or the employee's immediate family members), G-1, G-2, G-3, G-4, IR-1, IR-4, IH-4, NATO-1 through NATO-4, or NATO-6 visa;
Members of the US Armed Forces, spouses, and children of members of the US Armed Forces;
Travelers with invitation of the USA government for a purpose related to the containment/mitigation of the Coronavirus (COVID-19);
Travelers with documents issued by the US Department of Homeland Security, US Customs and Border Protection, or US Department of State indicating that the traveler is exempt from the restriction;
B1 crew crewmembers that are engaged in lightering, Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) activity, wind farm activity, private air/sea crew and other similar crewmember activities;
Students with an F-1 or M-1 visa and their F-2 and M-2 dependents, if they arrive from or have been in Ireland, the UK or Schengen Area in the past 14 days.
All travelers, 2 years of age or older (including US citizens and transit passenger) must present a negative COVID-19 viral or antigen test result issued 72 hours prior to departure or have a proof of recovery from the virus within the last 90 days prior to boarding the plane.
Travelers must complete a disclosure and attestation form before departure.
Exemptions or waiver to the testing requirements may be granted by the CDC on an extremely limited basis when emergency travel (like an emergency medical evacuation) must occur to preserve someone’s life, health against a serious danger, or physical safety and testing cannot be completed before travel.
US citizens and permanent residents arriving from the UK must present a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test result issued within 72 hours prior to departure.
Travelers arriving in New York State must complete the Traveler Health Form.
Travelers arriving in Massachusetts must complete the Massachusetts Health Form.
Travelers are advised to get tested 3-5 days after travel and stay home and self-quarantine for 7 days after travel. Even if they test negative, they must still stay home and self-quarantine for the full 7 days. If the test is positive, isolate to protect others from getting infected.
Travelers who did not get tested, are advised to stay home and self-quarantine for 10 days after travel.

Cons: "I am an experienced traveler. I've been to 17 countries and have flown over a million miles in both business and coach. My wife encountered a problem in Istanbul that involved an airport transit visa through Canada. I am certain that any other airline we’ve ever flown would’ve assisted us, since it was easily resolved. To Turkish Airlines, this is simply a part of their business model and a chance to make more money. It took about 8 hours of our time at 5 different airport locations to eventually buy new tickets to get back the next day. Our original tickets say: “REISSUE With 200.00 USD penalty. What I didn’t see was the fine print at the bottom: “Turkish Airlines reserves the right to change rules regarding ticket changes and refunds.”. They mean it. As bad as our personal experience was, the real reason we are so appalled is that we were there long enough to see this is the norm for them. In our single day there, we saw at least 100 other travelers going through similar things. The ONLY solution ever offered is to purchase another ticket. We witnessed several people weeping. Many losing control and shouting. Their own personnel were screaming at customers (in a separate office area though, it was all yucks and laughing). These were people of all nationalities. Africans, Asians, Europeans. We were lucky because we had the means to purchase new tickets. Others clearly didn’t. I really don’t know what happened to some of them. One moment was very symbolic of the entire experience. Another vanquished traveler was paying $843 for a new ticket with cash. He handed her $845 but she, of course, had no change. Instead of the $5, he gave her two $1 bills. I had one in my pocket so gave it to her as well. She held my $1 bill up and pointed to the corner which had a very small piece torn off…no ink was missing…and sneered “I can’t accept this. She did this simply because she could. We were powerless. She knew it and reveled in it."

The passenger behind us was trying to sleep and complained to the crew about our shade being up even though she was not wearing the eye covers the crew had given everyone. The crew asked us (politely) more than once to put the shade down, but the electric light was not sufficient for our reading. I don't fault the crew for trying to accommodate an unhappy passenger, but it was an imposition on us as well."

The excursion departs at 12p.m. This flights arrives at 11.25 a.m., but the lines in immigration are stupidly long. We arrived at the counter at 12.15. In a very unfriendly way, they explained the excursion had left, and no possibilities for joining it in Town. So, we were stuck at the airport for several hours. How stupid is to offer an excursion to passengers in layover, but program a flight with 300 passengers to arrive just in time to miss the excursion? Somebody has to think this over. This excursion should leave at 12.30, and it would avoid dozens of passengers stuck and unhappy."

Cons: "1) Since we had a long layover at Istanbul, the airline provides the option to take you to a free hotel to spend the night. I knew this information based on online reviews, but the airline itself never did anything to offer this, I had to walk around on the airport, for like 2 hours I could not find decent help and some instructions in broken English. I had to pay 25 Euros to get mi visa stamped and walk out of the airport. The Turkish Airlines attendant that set up the free hotel for us, walked us to a shuttle that would drive us to the hotel, but the shuttle driver got lost? or something happened that caused for him to drive around town for more than an hour, speaking on the phone loudly in Turkish and completely ignoring us when we asked questions, This got a little scary since we had no idea what was going on, at some point we were in the middle of a dark residential area, and listening to the driver yell on the phone (god knows what). Luckily a driver came over and guided us to the hotel, but seriously, they should be careful about who they hire for these kind of tasks. (I posted a video on instagram with footage of the guy driving us around in case my family needed to find me)."

What I got was SAW after I paid for a booking that said IST. Sabina Gokcen is one hour away further on the Asian side of Turkey. I did not want this airport! There was nothing I could do about this but bite the bullet & accept what I got since I was not allowed to have any corrections made after paying for this ticket. I am highly disappointed with Kayak. The first time you have disappointed me greatly!"

Pros: "The flight started with a visit in the recently renovated KLM crown lounge in Amsterdam airport. I liked the various seating options and of course the upstairs bar. The service on board was attentive and efficient, the food options I really liked (especially the Chinese dish) but also the little touches like the nuts & gouda cheese which were served in small porcelain bowls. The seat itself was very comfortable when sitting and the structure gives a lot of privacy. However for couples or friends travelling it's a bit cumbersome to have a conversation even when sitting in seats next to each other. Overall my expectations were fulfilled."
Cons: "This seat is not ideal for sleeping for taller persons (I'm 185cm tall) as the space to put the feet is very narrow and it's uncomfortable when lying on the back (as one cannot put them in the natural resting position). Cabin temperature could have been a bit lower for my taste. Crew needs better training with regards to transfer procedure in Chengdu."

Pros: "Air Canada is a respectable airline but the plane is not spacious at all. I mean, yes you pay for what you get, but damn the aircraft seats are so small. Then for people taking the morning flight, who probably haven’t eaten breakfast, you give them a measly omelet with a nasty side of spinach ? for the entire flight ? and a measly bag of pretzels ? Your starving the people which isn’t nice at all. Getting through baggage and getting in the flight was quite smooth and the air hosts were excellent. Entertainment was ok, there’s way to many Asian inspired films on there that I find are uninteresting, but hey, to each his own. Now coming back however was far better, the food was good, although can we stop putting soggy food into the mix, I know the food is premade but the mash potato is always so soggy and the vegetable mix has no flavour. Drinks are always great on the flight, entertainment was the same, hosts were great, pilot knows how to fly the plane, thank goodness, and overall it was a good flight back. Make the tiny adjustments I suggested and you’ll be at the top of your game Air Canada ! Merci !"

Cons: "Boarding took forever. There was a child that screamed the entire way. Wish flight staff was trained on calming children, even though I know it was just bad planning on the parents. Also wish there was a hygiene policy. Half the flight was not wearing deodorant, and you could tell."

Cons: "They only had two people at the counter to check in passengers for two flights that took off fifteen minutes apart. they closed the ticketing/ checkin counter downstairs an hour before the flight was scheduled to take off. the same people moved up stairs to work the counter at the gate. it took us an hour and ten minutes to get check our bags. Once we got to our destination, only one of two bags was with us. the airline won't even deliver the missing bag to us. they will only get it to the destination airport if they can find it."

As a Canadian, I can follow French, but let us remember that English is the international language. To use French is not fair to other nationalities, who expect English. 3. Seats far too close together for a long flight. There was more legroom on the Jazz flight from Montreal to Ottawa! 4. Entertainment kept breaking down. Headphones for my wife did not work, and eventually both of our screens went dead. Her's quit right in the middle of a movie. Bad!! 5. Boarding passes had zones on them, but these were totally disregarded in boarding. This resulted on overcrowding, long waits, etc. Hard on older people!"

Pros: "On both legs of our flight to and from O'Hare to China, we had delays. The first was due to an ice storm in Toronto, where we changed planes, then the second due to compromised air space over the China Sea that Air Canada wisely chose to delay our flight rather than take a risk. The delays were handled professionally and pleasantly. It wasn't their fault. The agents and flight attendants were very attentive in trying to help us get our connecting flights, such as switching us to the front of the plane before landing so we could get off quickly. Alas, it didn't work, but they tried. Our checked bags came off quickly. I felt that we had more legroom on our AC flights than I have had recently on American aircrafts. Temperature was comfortable. We were regularly given water, drinks, and we had complementary meals with beer or wine. Food was pretty average, but the beverages were good. I would definitely fly with them again."

I am allergic to milk (common allergy), you put milk products everywhere. Vegan is the only option, sadly it is usually some sort of Asian food and I am not Asian, have a gag reflex when I smell Indian food. This was not Air India flight, but smelled like one!!! Will avoid flying with United. Somehow, although I booked on purpose with Brussels Air, without my consent (!!!) I was sold tickets for United operated flight. Please, don't tell me that customers are your #1 priority, because they are NOT!"

I was anxious that a piece of TP was going to be stuck to my shoes when I returned to my seat. The flight crew did clean it up. I'm not a frequent flier, but was taken by surprise that I didn't need to check in before getting to the airport. I was amazed that the airlines take it upon themselves to assign seats. I think that's a poor decision as a mom and her 2 small kids were scattered about the plane. Fortunately, people were willing to shuffle around to allow the mom to sit with her kids."
Cons: "United Express flies out of Terminal A at Newark (EWR) and routinely they do not have Precheck lanes open. Despite flying on the Saturday after Thanksgiving they only had one mixed security line open. When I asked TSA they said they simply weren't staffed to have a Precheck line open. Everyone was working diligently but this happens every time we fly United out of Newark. Traveling with 2 small children it is incredibly frustrating to have to go through the full security line, take off our shoes, and take all of our electronics out of our bags."

Cons: "Even though I have an account with United, and confirmed that I was a vegetarian both online, and on the flight heading to Europe, my meal wasn't entered. It worked out really well because I was sitting close to the front and they had pasta dishes available, but this is not the first time that United and its partners have "lost" or "mishandled" my vegetarian registration. The flight attendant even remarked that sadly, she hears this 'complaint' constantly. The food was good, but there's no reason that my meal request can't stay in the system."

Cons: "Starting at Brussels airport I was questioned as if I was a threat. The lady wore an UA uniform. She asked me questions like these: where do you live when you come to Belgium? What do you do when you are in Belgium? Why do you come to belgium often? Then we were 2 blacks in the last line and we were all selected for "random" check during which the agent touched all parts of my body!!!!! Last, after I ate the food served on board, I went to the bathroom twice, I took I modicum before!!!!"

Pros: "For me, the food wasn't too bad. I had an Indian food meal on the way over, and on the way back a vegetarian one. They also handed out some good sandwiches and snacks, cheese pretsel sandwich, icecream. At least they didn't charge for the water, like on the first leg of the trip!"
Cons: "There was one crew person in particular who was really crabby. I get that they work hard, but..... For instance, I didn't hear what the choices were for dinner due to the overall noise of being on a plane. So I asked her to repeat and she yelled out the choices in an irritable manner. I had ordered a special meal, and she added, "I have no special meal for you." Really negative!"

At Dulles Airport, I checked in at the Brussels Airline counter, only to be told that since I was on a flight operated by United, then I had to go to the United Airlines counter to check in. At UA, I was handed a boarding pass which advised that my seat will be assigned at the gate. I saw on the monitor where the available seats were-1 window, the remainder middle row. I got the feeling that since I bought a ticket which cost less than what the other United Airlines customers paid for, then I was being relegated to seats that the other travelers didn't desire."

Cons: "The DVD player at my seat did not work. I was the last one to leave the plane, with the help of some crew members; but no wheelchair was waiting for me. A staff called but was told that no such an order was received and no one was then available to bring me a wheel chair. Later someone in the Cleaning crew made a couple of calls and finally ,10 to 15 minutes later, a wheelchair arrived."
Cons: "A 1 hour delay in Brussels, combined with the complexity that is Dulles resulted our missing our connecting flight. The United employee who rebooked us for the late-night flight five hours later put my wife and me on separate rows, requiring a second wait in the lengthening lines to sort out. Avoid Dulles. Avoid United."

Cons: "Literally everything else. Customer service was worse than Comcast's. Luggage was lost and has yet to be found even though I was promised multiple times that it would be taken care of. Will never fly United again."

Cons: "I had switched airlines, and before boarding, I had to receive a new boarding pass for United, but it was unclear that I had to do this beforehand. The food seemed to be minimal and not thought out."

Cons: "Food didn't look great. There was a vegetarian option, which was nice to hear, though I opted to just eat food that I bought since the food looked like TV dinners. Also snacks were like pastries and cheese/meat sandwiches, which I didn't try. I would appreciate healthier snacks, like fresh fruit, or failing that, dried fruit and nuts. Also there were no electrical outlets, which made it a lot harder to get any work done on the flight. For such a long flight this was disappointing."
Cons: "Upon arrival the flight attendant left me stranded on the tarmack without a wheelchair for 20 minutes. I have serious balance issues and was terrified. My connection was very tight and I barely made my plane to Portland. The pilot finally saw the problem and got the assistance I needed. This was the most frightening wheelchair experience I have even had."
