Pros: "This is the worst day of the year to travel. Hundreds of people waiting to catch flights to Seattle, which were delayed with no news of when they might fly. Alaska Airlines staff had way too to handle, but still found time to help a disabled person/passenger in need. Thank you."
Cons: "TSA had no time to help a disabled person, rather abruptly sending me from line to line to line, because I was disqualified from going through walk-through a certain scanner. Then was un-necessarilly angry with me for putting my Kindle on top of my laptop, to go through the scanner. If TSA had given clearer directions, I would have known how to place electronic devices in the plastic tub. Also they took my wallet from me to go through the scanned by itself. As TSA staff pushed belongings down the conveyor, the little dish holding my wallet turned over, credit cards and the like started to fall all over and under the machine. I started to collect my congtents and was told to stay put, and hold out my hands so they could swab my hands for explosives, and to not move while they put the swab in their sensing machine. Makes me want to not fly in the future."

Other airlines have offered discounts on future flights because of such delays. Alaska offered nothing. Overall, a 3 hour delay with lots of apologies."

Pros: "Glorious leg room! Some airlines have crammed their seats so close together that even someone of average height has their knees jammed into the seat-back in front of them. Not so on Alaskan Air. I had a good 4-5 inches of space between my knees and the seat in front of me. Can't say the same for a lot of other airlines."
Pros: "After custom, I put my check-in luggages to connecting flight conveyer, I was told to go to gate without boarding pass. I was concerned about availability of seat. I was waiting more than 1 hour at gate but no crew showed up. It was about 1 hour before scheduled flight to Sacramento. So I asked nearby crew again, I was told then to go to Alaska Airline customer service. The crew was very helpful to give me a boarding pass there."

Cons: "Holding a plane for 20 minutes for flight attendants to show up. The flight was only 1.5 hours, we didn't really need flight attendants. On top of that, flight attendant Angel was pretty rude, told another flight attendant that she should make people wait when trying to get back to their seat and the drink cart is in the aisle. Ended up paying for in flight wifi to tell them my flight was late. Overal this was an awful flight."

Will never fly with American after their abysmal attempt to keep us safe. I did not feel safe for a second on that horrendous flight. Definitely getting a COVID test and I will know where I got it from if I test positive. Also the seats are uncomfortable and it was a very bumpy flight (I understand that part cannot be avoided). I don’t understand how you cancel flights and bump people to other flights only for them to be SUPER packed. I thought at the rate of cases rising airlines should be doing a better job at taking safety precautions. Not American. Why do they think it’s a safe idea at this time to have my wife and I packed in with a total stranger for four hours? No social distancing whatsoever! Overall I cannot say a single good thing about this flight. Worst in my entire life"
Cons: "The flight was 2 hours delayed because there was a mechanical issue on the plane. We sat and waited on the plane for 1 hour while the Maintenance crew tried fixing the problem. After sitting there for one hour, they told us the problem wasn’t fixed and we have to change aircrafts. The other aircraft was all the way in terminal D (we were in terminal A) and the boarding process took a long time. Overall it was an awful flight and experience with American Airlines. I missed my mother’s birthday party because of the 2 hour delay."

After the passengers got off the plane, the man at the counter came on the P.A and said it’ll be a few minutes, they’re catering the plane now from the back to the front. The flight crew still needed to get on a preform safety checks. He apologized again. Then it was 8:40, time to take off and we’re still waiting to even board. The man at the counter said again, thank you for your patience and relayed the same message, only this time the flight attendants were walking away from the gate. Around 9 some lady higher up told the man to announce that the flight crew had timed out and stand by crew was on the way to the gate, said sorry again. A little later the man says sorry, there’s a gate change. You’re going to K6 now. When we get to the new gate it’s almost 9:30pm and while we were all gathered at the gate, the flight crew that supposedly “timed out” showed up and proceeded to get on the plane. Passengers started getting mad and saying we were lied to and to just tell us the truth. Chicago PD started showing up. We finally got on the plane but it would be another 30 minutes before we moved because of issues getting our bags off the original plane. We ended up being almost 2 hours delayed."

We had 5 people in our group, including 3 children under the age of 10. Instead of taking off on time or just a couple minutes late (and oh by the way, the flight to SMF was scheduled to land early because of favorable winds) the flight left the gate early while we were sprinting from gate C31 to A17, missing the door closing by minutes and stranding our party for a three hour wait for an aircraft that went to SFO instead (75 miles away from Sacramento). As the coup de gras, our luggage didn't make it on the plane to SFO so now it's sitting in Sacramento awaiting delivery. I know there were a lot of upset people with the weather delays yesterday, but a bit of foresight or accommodation by American or a particularly savvy gate agent could have prevented the 5 of us from being among them."

If the mechanics can’t quiet things down and tighten the compartments to stop things from making that much racket then Spirit needs to take the plane out of commission. Not a smooth quiet flight for sure. It would be hard to recommend Spirit airlines to anyone."

Cons: "Showed up, got charged for checked bags (extra $30 if you are over 40 lbs). Was charged for a non personal carry on bag. Legroom was non-existent (worst of any other airline I've flown), and had both my knees hanging out in the aisle and taking over the next seat over. Also wanted to charge $3 for water. Was informed there was no other drinking water available. Overall experience was poor and will not be returning. Do yourself a favor and buy a more expensive ticket; by the time we were said and done, we paid $125 for bags so a decent airline with service would have ended up more cost effective anyways."

Cons: "I would like to use every expletive to describe Spirit airlines but I'm afraid they would censor this review. The staff onboard are unprofessional, rude and lack customer service. The baggage handlers are like monkeys tossing around luggage. The desk staff do not give two craps for you and all of these incompetencies mean you WILL miss flights using them. Never again!"

Cons: "Charge too much for every little thing (bags). No communication at all from spirit. No confirmation of flight, no check-in, no time updates. I'm the end, there was no gate communication for why the flight is delayed and no one to discuss when the flight would get there and leave besides what was on the board. There was no email, text, call, or board update to indicate the plane would leave more than half an hour before the board listed time. Customer service had a nasty attitude and didn't care at all about our loss. Poor all around and will NEVER fly spirit again nor will I speak good of them in any manner"

Cons: "The luggage charges should come up in a pop up window or some other way to make online ticket buyers aware. Luckily I did not buy gifts to bring with me. Flyers can save a lot if they are prepared properly to bring the right carry on."

Pros: "The Airbus equipment was rather new and tightly constructed. The airline's decor and advertising was cheery and amusing."
Cons: "I didn't like not being told that boarding would begin forty-five minutes before departure, having to go to a very distant gate after checking in with ticketing to check my bag, and then being told that boarding was underway. I didn't like arriving at the distant gate on foot after security and a subway ride only to find the plane sitting outside and before departure time, yet the door was closed and several other passengers and I being told that we had missed the 7:50 a.m. flight despite having risen at 5:00 a.m. and proceeding with all haste. I didn't like that my non-stop from Atlanta to Houston with arrival time that would have allowed half a day's work changed to a six-hour layover in Ft. Lauderdale and the loss of an entire day and evening. I did not like extra charges for everything. I can see that the higher prices charged by other airlines are not really higher after you add up everything."

Pros: "Crew stayed friendly despite an annoying delay. Information about the delay was first shared quickly (by the pilot I think)."
Cons: "After not even boarding before our departure time and then being told to deboard and wait two hours, there were several concerns. 1) The staff who handled boarding weren't articulate in the process and came off rude. 2) By the time we deboarded, all the kitchens were closed and even snack places were closing. So everyone who was now upset and hungry. 3) When it was time to board again, no announcement was made over the loud speaker, despite several of us getting confirmation that would happen when we first got off. 4) If it was my company, and I would have noticed the terminal was closing the shops and would have offered complimentary beverages to passengers during the flight. Almost everyone I talked to or overheard directly expressed their dissatisfaction with Spirit airlines and vowed they would not be using them again. An unexpected free soda would have been a cheap way for you to sway some people to give it another shot."

Cons: "Unfortunately, I should have asked around in advance: everything is add-on in cost, so there are prices for an additional carry-on and a steep price for checked luggage. Beverages and the like are also an extra charge, as is choosing your own seat (which, if you are traveling with a family, is just ridiculous). The seating is hugely tight (if you want to pick your seats, it's $10 for each and $25 for any imaginably decent leg room--I say this as a very short person; anyone of average height would be miserable)."
Pros: "I had an aisle seat both ways to and from Las Vegas , ride was smooth, got back 21 min faster due to a tailwind,crew was nice"
Cons: "Well i paid 272 for the flight then 270 for bags, then my flight was cancelled and they gave me aisle seats and refunded me $101 for my bookbag n said i didnt have to check it...seats r small im 6'2", kinda cramped,service was A ok!"
