When I got to the airport, my flight had been changed again to have 3 layovers and getting back the next morning. When I spoke with a representative at the Rio airport she said she couldn't do anything for me but to ask at my next layover where they could switch me to a direct flight. When I asked at that airport, they said they didn't even fly direct flights. Worst airline experience I've ever had.

Cons: It took two hours in line to be told our flight was cancelled. After waiting another hour we were told they did not have alternative flights for us. They refused to have conversation and would randomly leave to the back office for 20 minutes at a time or stop assisting people at all. There were people screaming at the ticketing counter and security was called. In the end we spent 14 hours waiting there for a new flight, got split up and sent to different countries, had to miss work, and were not given any flight credit, accommodation, or even an apology.

Keeping in mind that my departure flight was from Bogota with the same airline. So I lost my return flight and avianca wouldn't give me any discount on getting a new one.

Pros: I liked how accommodating the staff was with seating for my family, as I was traveling with two young children and we weren't seated together. There was more leg room than most other domestic air travel companies I have been on. There was no upgrade charge for every little thing, such as blankets, pillows, etc. We were fed on each flight, and alcoholic beverages were at no additional charge. The exit tax to leave Costa Rica was included in our ticket, which I was not aware of until I was leaving the country. (nice surprise). Over all, most other airline companies in the USA have made changes that improve their bottom line, but they have completely ruined any favorable aspect of traveling with their airline (American Airlines, Frontier, Southwest, Delta, etc). Copa has done a great job of providing great service and cost for travelers. Please do not change your business strategy by removing some of the above mentioned benefits I enjoyed in order to improve your profit margin. It is refreshing to know there are still air carriers out there that retain the service that is hoped for by most travelers. Also, Roxana and her entire flight crew were outstanding. Thank you , I will fly with you anytime I have the chance.

Pros: I bought a return ticket from Panama City to Rio on Kayak and was not notified that a Yellow Fever shot was necessary for re-entry to Panama. Turned back at the air port in Rio I had to spend an extra 13 days in Rio de Janeiro at my expense, three to see doctor and get vacine, plus ren day waiting period.
Cons: To change ticket I had to pay change fee plus fare difference. Copa said it was not their responsibility to notify passengers of health alerts and Kayak should be responsible. Needless to say I was on the hook for the time and the bill. I have flown Copa with satisfaction a number of times but this is enough to discourage me from ever flying them again and possibly ever using Kayak again.

I ended up missing my flight because of their disorganization, their lack of communication and professionalism, and then, was not helped in the least. Pros: Again, the seating is more than adequate. I discovered a person who couldn't read her ticket stub correctly had taken my seat, but instead of insisting that she move, I asked if I could have an emergency exit row seat and was told "Yes," I could. I had to whole row to myself. Those seats, while as comfortable as the rest, made the screen mounted on the back of the seat ahead of me a little hard to see because of the greater than usual distance between the seats. But there certainly was a lot of legroom!
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was an aspect not totally in Aeromexico's control - the disembarkation system and the ugly process of Mexican immigration. The plane was left parked on the tarmac somewhere in nowhere'sville, making a trip to the terminal by bus necessary. The bus waited and waited and waited for a wheelchair to arrive from the main terminal to allow two elderly passengers to be removed from the plane. All in all that process took more than a half-hour (making the two-hour connection time more anxiety producing). Then the bus sat outside the terminal for another 10 minutes with no explanation being provided to the passengers worried about making their connection. To top it off, once the bus doors opened the passengers were ushered into a large hall filled with hundreds of passengers all having to get through Mexican immigration - during lunch hour or something, for there were only six officials actually asking questions and several empty inquiry windows that could have been operational. I finally got to an immigration clerk just 15 minutes before my connecting flight was to take off - breezed through the interview and got the passport stamped, and then had to run to dump the luggage onto another conveyor belt leading I hoped to the connecting flight. An Aeromexico staff person asked me "Seattle?" and when I answered "YES!" was ushered to a waiting electric golf cart that whisked me close to the ramp to Gate 57. Without that additional help I'd never had made the flight. Mexico City is NOT a place to try to do a plane connection in less than 3 hours!

Cons: I paid $30usd for my sister and I to have priority boarding and more spacious seats. We were boarded in zone 3 and had the same seats as the rest of economy. I contacted aeromexico for a refund and was told to email my complaint to 2 separate email addresses for a refund. I did as instructed and but did not receive a reply. I disputes the charges with my bank and they immediately paid me back. Aeromexico, you are a joke and I hope your sceem to fraud people out of their money comes to surface soon.
Pros: The flight was a Delta code share. It said non stop even though we had to change planes in Monterrey. It was unclear which terminal the flight departed from. A fellow passenger was given a boarding pass JFK to Guadalajara. In Monterrey they wouldn’t let him go through security. We went to the gate to find an agent to help. Of course there wasn’t one. I asked security to,page an agent. One arrived several minutes later, seemed to understand, and escorted him through security. On our return, the email I received to check in for the flight said we were flying JFK to Guadalajara. In fact we were flying the opposite. Clumsy and confusing. The food was dreadful (at least there was some?). The service onboard was courteous but not friendly. All four flights departed and arrived late. The jet bridge wouldn’t work on our arrival back at JFK and we were stuck on the plane another 30 minutes.

I tried to call TWICE to make sure that I could change dietary preferences because I have food allergies and I was told both times that I was unable to. This is not fair for the price paid for flights. I am very unhappy with the fact that there was food served onboard and that, when I tried to tell the airline what I could and could not eat, that they did not change my preferences or even give me the option.

A goalkeeper was super arrogant with me, gave me no support and even told me that if I was in the United States I would be waiting for 3 days at the airport sleeping on the floor, so it was ok.

It would be better if the employees knew the rules about their work. Everything very disorganized from the gate number to the carry on allowed in the plane. I will never fly with Gol again.

Cons: Starting by the fact that if the system was actually working we could’ve done check in in the machine, and cut the 2 and half hours of line for check in and luggage drop off. The check in crew was not efficient at all, they would take 10 to 20 min to every costumer, no organization and poor trainin.

Cons: Seriously, a sandwich and some indistinguishable "dessert". Honestly, I can't tell you what the 2nd item was on the try, even after trying it. I get that the flight was only 3 hours long, but a sandwich is not dinner. And, it tasted horrible. I took 3 bites and couldn't stomach the rest. It was laughable that they offered wine with it. Had I realized this was the option, I would have brought my own food. My husband, who eats literally everything, couldn't even eat it, and it was a cheese sandwich. How hard is it to make a bad cheese sandwich? Well, apparently, GOL knows how to do it.

Got there by 9:15 only to find out it’s been closed for checking bags. I beg , implore and there’s nothing to be done. Pay extra for 2 extra bags, for what? Nothing. Lost about $75 altogether non refundable. SUCKS.

Pros: Knowing that GOL is an LCC, I was not expecting much. However, after realizing that every seat had the legroom typical of a Extra Comfort seat on NA carriers, I soon became won over. Regular recline functionality (missing on some of the larger LCCs worldwide) and a free drink and snack (also missing on many LCCs), TOO was truly a relaxing flight. 10/10. Would definitely fly again.
Cons: I mean, there was no entertainment available (to my knowledge) but there was allegedly Wi-Fi (I didn't try).

Cons: the drink service came through pretty late in the flight. i asked for hot tea. a few minutes later i was provided with extremely hot tea. about 10 minutes later it was a temperature i could tolerate drinking. about 1/3 through the drink i was required to throw away my drink because we were preparing for landing. i understand that, fine. bad timing. it’s just a drink. what was unsatisfactory is that the attendant rudely commented “you have to give us your drink. it’s not that long of a flight.” the comment made me feel like i had done something wrong even though i had just been drinking my tea as soon as it was at a drinkable temperature. i was not impressed with the attendant. also, there weren’t any biscotti cookies.
Pros: The crew was amazing - agreeing to work extra because it was Christmas eve and they wanted us all to get to our destinations for Christmas. They were very gracious and helpful.
Cons: We were over an hour late to leave. I understand the reason for the delay because of weather. What I was disappointed in is that the delay was not announced until our actual scheduled time to leave. It meant people coming to pick me up didn't get the change information in a timely manner.

Cons: I booked a LATAM flight for a 10.5 hour flight specifically because they have better in flight entertainment. I arrived at the airport and found it it was operated by AA. 10.5 hours with zero in flight entertainment. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
Pros: The first leg had awesome pasta.Then, on the 2nd leg, Philly to Denver, they had a "pay for meal" option for turkey with Chutney sandwich - again, delicious. I should add that the service was very good as well.
Pros: Flight crew had a great sense of humor - they were extra friendly while boarding as well, made traveling with AA the best! Boarding was delayed due to previous flight but our pilot even managed to get us to Denver early! Wish I could have this crew everywhere I go!
Pros: Not very much positive to say unfortunately. The staff were good and did as much as they could to keep up feed and happy.
Cons: The plane was extremely old and dated. Never been on such an old plane with no up to date equipment or facilities. The chairs were very uncomfortable and the food was awful. There was no personal entertainment screen for an 11 hour flight and only one of the safety demonstration screens was working during take off. Also no plugs at all.

Cons: Watched a very weird interaction between Muslim (with a hajib) women with a kiddo and desk crew. She wanted to sit next to her child on the flight and needed to switch seats to be able to. Woman was very gracious and understanding that she was asking for an accommodation. Ends up her flight to Philly had been moved to a different gate after they had found a volunteer to switch seats. Volunteer was totally unfazed but Desk crew made it seem as tho the Muslim mom was at fault for the time and trouble they had had to go through to accommodate her. She apologized profusely and was very appreciative for the trouble evernote had gone to for her. . As she walked away the crew looked at each other and shook their heads. Pretty crummy way to treat customers!

Cons: Good service to switch flight pattern from greenville to new bern but still a delay that cause a 2 flight connection. Lots of on-line issues with check-in, overall a stressful day, hopefully it will all work out!

Cons: I can't rate it because they canceled my entire itinerary without so much as an email. I did not take my flight to Wilmington via my original flight. I had to book another flight because the change fees were too expensive. I did not know that my return flight to Denver had been canceled until I was checking in a few hours before my flight. I was told my ticket had no value. Awesome! It really stings that I then had to book a new return flight, and because I am a teacher who makes about $23,000 a year, I had to book the cheapest flight, which was with American. I do not plan on giving them any of my hard-earned money in the future if I can help it.

Cons: Three planes with "maintenance" issues and not able to fly? Including flights that weren't ours. Boarding, re-boarding, leaving four hours late and waiting an hour for bags in Denver.
Pros: Flight not entirely sold out. So they let my 14 month grandson have an empty seat between my daughter and I. That was a great gift since he doesn't sleep and is jumping and crawling all over the place. And I'm sure the other passengers were breathing sighs of relief!! Also super smooth landing and nice flight attendants.
Cons: Flying with an active 14 month old toddler boy and of his "stuff" is nothing less than anxiety provoking. Not much the airline can do..
Cons: Had to board three times, two different planes. I understand mechanical problems, but 3 hours later, and on another plane, the captain starts making stuff up, saying that the only reason we hadn't moved in the last hour was because people were using the bathroom, then something about having to deplane because the plane couldn't back up with us on it because of some sensor? And then, surprise ! All of the sudden they noticed there was an issue with his and some of the crews' hours and we had to wait till they could locate more crew. But they gave us each a 1/3 glass of water and later a $12 food voucher which didn't even cover a meal and beverage. Whoop-de-do. 7 hours later we finally boarded for the third and last time. The crew on the other hand stayed professional and friendly.

Cons: The customer service from AA representitives in the airport was completely unnacceptable and the absolute worst service I have recieved in an airport to date! One incident during this trip was as follows: When arriving in Charlotte and running to catch my connecting flight, I arrived as the lady at the desk was closing the door, she looked at me and rolled her eyes. When I went up to the desk along with the other passengers arriving from the same flight as me the AA representative said "Hurry up , I want to go home!! At a point I'm just going to cut you off and that will be it!" She was of no help to me in anyway amd was forced tonstay the night in charlotte ; Normally this would not have been such a big deal, However I am on emergency leave from the Navy rushing home because I have a very serious family emergency, that representitive was very lucky I held my temper! From now on thanks to the poor unproffessional customer service I received I will no longer be flying American Airlines!
