Kinda curious how you forgot to load a plane with food for purchase and how did the crew not notice in advance? I would think that is one of their checks of the cabin. Not mention who ever signed off saying they filled the plane with food for purchase lied. Very frustrating not only for the crew but for the passengers."

Cons: "Plane was around 45 minutes late in arriving at our Minneapolis gate. Flight was further delayed by something (unspecified) being "frozen." WORST part was that the temperature in the seating area at the gate was horribly cold. Departing passengers at a neighboring gate were bound for Fargo and sat with their parkas on and with parka hoods up. We Houston-bound had packed our coats & boots and were shivering. Then when we finally boarded the crew announced that the plane's water system was broken and so we would have no hot coffee or hot tea or hot anything. No water, also and obviously, in the restroom sink. But sani-wipes were provided in the sink basin."

Cons: "Boarding process was ok (they bused us over to the plane and then had us walking out halfway to the plane's stairs before frantically sending us back on the bus because the plane wasn't cleaned yet). Not a big deal but we were traveling with a 10 month old so miscommunications like that cause a larger inconvenience than usual. The real downer on the flight was when we needed hot water quickly to warm our infant's bottle. The stewardess had begun beverage service and was about 8 rows away from us. My wife hit the call button, expecting the stewardness to come over somewhat quickly. Instead, she just continued beverage service and got to us about 15 mins later. By that point it was too late and the baby was wailing from hunger. When we asked why, knowing that we had a small child, the stewardness didn't just push the cart forward and attend to us more quickly, she said she didn't want to do that. No apology, not even a sense of remorse. At the end of the day, a customer's experience will always be tainted by poor service and that is what we received on our flight."

Cons: "Agents at the ticketing countet were the rudest i have ever encountered in my years of flying. Had a problem and when i asked for their assistance was given the Delta 800 number and told to call and they walked off. When i called it was a 2 hour wait for an agent. Thank goodness for their app as i was able to.change my flight with the My Delta app. Also they had overbooked the flight and rather than giving assurance to people just told us to wait and "line up orderly"."

Cons: "When the flight was on time, we learned it was overbooked. Agents stated that if people would not willingly accept their offer to fly at a later time random people would be denied boarding. This was a stressful element as there was no other flight that could make me arrive on time. Plus, threatening to deny boarding to paying customers for airline related overbooking does not seem like a fair or good business practice. Then there were mechanical issue with the plane. After waiting over an hour for repairs they realized they needed a new air craft. This further delayed the flight. Not only was the flight extremely delayed at this pint but throughout the waiting time we were given very little information and were constantly told they couldn't give us an approximate time of departure. This was extremely rude and makes the experience of dealing with a delay even worse. I would suggest giving us more information about what is happening. Saying we don't know when the flight will leave is just unacceptable. To make matters even worse after we were finally boarded we had to wait an additional 40 minutes sitting inside the plane while they boarded refreshments! I know there are delays in flights but this same thing happened to my flight on my way to Paris and it caused me to miss my international connection and had to be re-routed."

The flight attendant was walking around withh seat belt extenders ; why are you accommodating severely overweight customers at the expense of others?"

Then the boarding staff were so rude, they act like they own the plane and they are god. They would not answer anyone questions and just pointed at the screen. The airplane staff hello at least. But the food very so bad, even easyjet has better food. Also their understanding for the english was so poor but the air stewardess told me " we speak American" !!!!"

An older man actually found me a spot It was on this leg ( not the La Guardia to Chatlotte ) that the food tray kept opening after trying to close them ( old latches ) US airlines flight attendants don't understand how to talk to travellers . Asian airlines have excellent flight attendants"

Cons: "When I booked my flight, I used Kayac like I always have in the past. To begin with, I selected several flights that were listed, only to have it tell me that this flight is no longer offered, which I assume is engineered to get me to select a more expensive flight. Once I finally found a flight that was still available, I selected it and began the process of providing information and selecting seat assignments. On 2 of the 4 legs of the round trip, there were no more seats available except for upgrade seats, which resulted in an extra $100.00+ in charges. Then when I finished the transaction, I noticed an extra $200.00 charge added. End result was that I ended up paying over double what I would normally pay for this same round trip that I have made many many times. I feel, no I know, that some customer relations person will look at this comment and reply with a pre-generated response apologizing and hoping I have a better experience in the future and thank me for using Kayac. Big companies like yours look at one customer as no big deal. I'm a Physician and have the ability to reach out to multitudes. I'm going to make it my mission in life to reach out to as many people as I can through word of mouth, signs in my office, Internet and social media to let them know about the deplorable practices of your company."

I bought a ticket for ANA but operated by United Airlines. but I was not expecting this awful experience."

Cons: "My flight was delayed by nearly two hours, causing me to have to miss my connection. Though they knew for hours that the flight would be delayed, they did not have enough people working at the check in counters. There were not that many people in line, but I had to wait more than 20 minutes before being able to speak to someone. The representative informed me that I would have to be rebooked onto a later connection because the delay would cause my to miss my original connecting flight, and when I told her that I needed an earlier time to avoid missing a meeting, she just said "I have nothing earlier." She was barely even apologetic. Then she was unable to print my boarding pass for my connection. I had a 2 hour and 45 minute layover in Houston whereas in my original flight it was 1 hour."

I wasn't carrying any roll-ons or large items but many of my fellow passengers were carrying multiple items in the hope of either getting them on or having them checked for free. Complete shambles with later boarders running up and down the aisle trying to fit their carry-ons into overhead lockers. Solution: Enforce one item only; Apply free checked items at the gate early. Apply a fee for items that don't fit and were not offered up for checking."

UA staff also, at the outset of the flight, attempted to confiscate all food and drink items from passengers, so that UA could immediately sell food and drink items to passengers."

I was shocked. Also on line I was led to believe a carry on was included, but again I was charged. Seating was terribly cramped. I will do my best to never fly Spirit in the future."

Cons: "Seats were tight and uncomfortable. The kids behind us banged their tray tables on the backs of our chairs for the whole flight, sick people couching non stop, nothing the airline did wrong just not the best overall experience"

Cons: "Horrible customer service. They rescheduled the flight 6 times. they kept lying on the status. Finally departed at 3 AM (instead of 7 PM). Totally arrogant behavior by their ground staff. They have food coupons that no one accepted in the airport."

Cons: "40 pound limit of. Bag I paid $50 for and 41 pounds means another $30. No drink or peanuts."

Pros: "I was kept in line until it was too late to allow me to get a boarding pass. The 3 groups of travelers before me took an unusually long time as they could not understand why they were not allowed to get boarding passes. The CS Manager did direct me to an airline that I was able to buy full price ticket from."
Cons: "The same excuse was given to every traveler that was in the line with me. I listened to it explained to at least 10 travelers that day. Since that time, I have yet to hear any positive feedback from anyone that travels frequently. You seem to pray on people that do not travel often. The ticket that was purchased for this fight was bought by my wife. She was trying to do me a favor. Cons: "If you any sense, you'll never fly on this airline. I have had 4 or 4 flights end up being the worst flights ever. It is worth the extra money to fly on another airline."

Cons: "I didn't like that the seats were so thin and they didn't reclin at all, I barely even had space to move and get comfortable. The tickets were cheap but they made up for the cheap price with baggage prices, they charges for every bag even the carry-ons."

Pros: "The actual flight was good. For the most part, the flight attendants were good."
Cons: "I waited about 30 minutes to drop off my (prepaid) bag, although there were only 12 people in front of me on my initial flight. It took over 1 1/2 hours to drop off my prepaid bag and get a printed boarding pass on my return flight. Customer service is really awful."

Cons: "I was charged $10 twice for my bag and $10 for my seat, going and coming, since it wasn't a non stop. What a rip off. I had to get off the plane and get back on the plane and sit in the same seat and be charged another $10. NOT A GOOD way to treat customers if you want them to return."

Pros: "The crew and boarding was fine, the plane was clean and looked in good condition."
Cons: "The seats were cramped! the seat in front of me was literally 12 inches from my face. You are packed in like sardines, can't move, very uncomfortable. When I put my tray down it hit my stomach. Don't expect food or drink, it all cost money. The pilot was selling stuff too before landing kinda ridiculous. Baggage all cost money on top of the flight. It seems that they really try to nickel and dime you."

Pros: "Do yourself a favor and never fly Spirit Airlines unless you have a lot of time, no bags, extremely patient (like Jesus patient) and you're never hungry. I'm basically describing a corpse because that's what it would take to enjoy flying Spirit."
Cons: "The plane was delayed 6 hours (something about their system having issues and pilots being overbooked). We weren't given an explanation till after we finally got on the plane. We were offered a free soda or water as compensation. Horrible!"

Cons: "If there's anything consumers hate it's extra fees. And Spirit wins the prize with piling on extra fees. This is an airline I will absolutely never choose again because of their hidden and deceiving fees they charge once you've booked your ticket. It's a complete scam airline. Stay away!!!!! Oh and the seats were awful!!! New plane with the least expensive interior."

Pros: "Spirit's $199 round-trip fare was very reasonable, especially since I was traveling Christmas Eve at the height of the holidays. (I should add that Kayak.com's review, which they emailed to me, is poorly written. If they're assigning my critique 5 categories, Excellent, Good and Okay are clear.... but "Poor" and "Mediocre" are too similar. Kayak ought to buy a thesaurus. Which is a worse or better rating, Poor or Mediocre?? Way too vague!)"
Cons: "At my gate at LAX, I got on line because Spirit said my flight to Houston was boarding soon. Then the video screen said, "Flight and boarding time delayed 45 minutes." Fine, delays happen. I rejoined the line later, but the "delayed 45 minutes" had vanished from the video screen, which now said "CLOSED." Damn, did I miss my flight because the delay was cured and the original boarding time reinstated? (No, but it looked that way.) None of Spirit's constant speaker announcements explained anything. So my fellow passengers and I waited there confused. Finally, with the long line barely moving, my gate's video screen changed to "Spirit Flight to Denver boarding in 1 hour." Did I miss my flight? (No, but it looked the way.) Congratulations Spirit, on putting the 100 passengers standing in line into a panic. Your pathetic lack of communication is abominable. Haven't any Spirit employees ever flown your airline and noticed how inept the service is? Even my flight attendant was curt with me when I politely requested a soda. Moral: Spirit's price is wonderfully affordable, but you get what you pay for."

Cons: "I checked in the day before my flight and saved the boarding passes on my phone, but apparently Spirit does not scan boarding passes. They then told me I was late checking in, even though I did the day before. They rushed me off to the gate, and had me initial a tag for my luggage saying it was because I was late checking in. I did so, and ran to my gate. I arrived in Fort Lauderdale, my destination, to find that they sent my luggage on a different flight. It was difficult for me to obtain the time my luggage would be arriving, and when I finally did, I had to make a special trip to pick it up (45 minute drive), because the delivery fee was $60 cash. I called customer service and got no where with them, as they defended their employees rather than apologizing for my dissatisfaction."

Cons: "I have been flying for over 30 years and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. When I first arrived at the check in line the lady behind the counter was very rude. The fact that you charge $50 for a carry on is the worst company policy I have ever encountered. Then on the flight everything was terrible. The flight attendants were rude and didnt care about customer needs. The seats are small and uncomfortable. The plane is old and was very wobbly. I will never fly Spirit again and I will tell all my family and friends that this is the worst company in the world."

Pros: "The aircraft was new and up to date. One of the flight attendants was very rude to you customers. Charging for WATER is reprehensible. Shame on your management for even considering that."

Cons: "Bumpy and scary ride. Crew won't let you go to the bathroom when sitbelt sign is on, and it is always on. $52 to check a bag, no complementary snack or beverage. Crew is rude."

Cons: "When the flight arrived at the gate there was no one to bring the sky bridge and everyone had to wait to get off. And then the door to get to customs was locked and no one has a key to unlock it. Overall flight was on time and pleasant."

Pros: "It was a short flight, no delays, speedy boarding, and actually ran ahead of schedule."
Cons: "The entire flight was an advertisement. The flight was about an hour and a half long from gate to gate, about 50 minutes were spent with someone from Sprit over the intercom trying to sell their credit card or other irrelevant and annoying announcements. There was a point when they passed out flyers down the aisle for credit card sign-up. Maybe it's just me, but I just wanted to sleep for an hour or so, flying during the holidays is stressful, so for over half the flight to be spent being talked at by the loudspeaker about the benefits of a credit card was a pretty annoying negative."

Cons: "The hidden add-ons -- from seat selection ($23 for an exit row), food/ beverages, to luggage ($42 for a check-in bag; $100 at the gate for carry-on) -- off-sets any savings you might have thought you were making with a booking here versus a larger commercial airline. Two other problems: the security lines are much much longer than those in united (it's worth paying extra to bypass these), and be prepared for baggage delays. We waited 1 hour for our checked luggage to arrive !"

Cons: "Everything. Staff was not courteous and rushed me. Charged me for my baggage though I only had one carry on. Didn't offer any sort of in flight beverages. Last time I fly spirit"

Cons: "My luggage was sent on another airline and another city. When I initially asked the desk attendent in Houston for help, she literally said "No". Spirit overall has poor customer service but this shocked me. Although Olivia who worked that same evening was amazing. I've been flying for 25 years and had never had an issue with any of the dozens of airlines I've been on even more budget airlines than spirit. This is my second time flying Spirit and I will NEVER make the same mistake again."

Pros: "I don't like that I had to pay for a carry on. It wasn't clear enough to me online to know that prior to flying so I had to pay full price for a carry on. I had to have. Printed ticket. I was not able to do it electronically. That was not clear either. At the end of the day I could have flown a better airline for a slightly higher cost without all the hassle. I will not fly spirit again."

Pros: "The girl that helped us with our suitcases at boarding time was nice and considerate. The airplane staff was pleasant and had a smile on their face. They were also very accommodating."

Pros: "Crew was alright but wanted to charge me for a cup of water to take my medications with."
Cons: "The rows are crammed too close together. There was not enough room for my legs while sitting down, as my knees were jammed into the seat in front of me."

Cons: "The plane was pulled to the gate at the time that we should be boarding, the staff did not speak to anyone or advised why we were still awaiting confirmation to board, the gate would not connect to the plane , once we boarded there was an issue with an over head bin that would not lock ( that was quickly resolved once maintenance was called, then maintenance was called again for a separate issue , and we left FLL late ."

Pros: "The whole trip, the plane was great and I had plenty room. everyone on board was great. It was a smooth ride and I was very pleased with the full trip both ways."

Cons: "Poor service. They need to care for their customers."

Cons: "I call Spirit the "gotcha" airline. If you don't plan ahead, this airline will drain you of your funds. Basically, robbery without a gun. Shameful the way your customers are charged for the fees you apply. I now join the ranks of one and done with Spirit. Learned my lesson. Never again! NEVER!"

Cons: "No complimentary service on the flight. Not even water and peanuts. Seats didn't even recline. Need to make announcements once boarding is complete to allow passengers to move into empty seats to avoid seating 3 to a row while there are lots of seats open."

Cons: "Re-defines the often used term for airlines as 'cattle cars' Tiny seats scrunched together. The baggage fees and terms are absolutely predatory. They don't do it, as they say, to improve efficiency. It is solely to suck you into buying a ticket, then (bait and switch comes to mind) they squeeze lots more money from you. So - how do they really justify charging as much or more for few small bags as the overall ticket price?? Absolutely predatory and lots of people are blindsided by it. In wait to board, one woman said she actually paid for baggage at time she booked flight, then when checked in, they weighed her bag ad wanted additional #50.- because it was 2 lbs over weight. I HATE Spirit and only fly it when no other good option is available. HATE HATE HATE!!!"

Cons: "They will flout their own policies in order to fleece passengers for extra monies you thought you saved on the cheap air fares. You have been warned, if you have had a bad experience, please prevent others from having one by completing one of these surveys."
