The seats did not help the comfort levels either, should have been able to recline a tad bid more. The carry-on-bag situation is getting out of control, you should crack down on people who bring too many bags or oversized bags that should be checked in instead."

On the return to El Salvador, ticket agents made me purchase a one-way return to the United States, claiming that I would not be allowed to enter El Salvador otherwise since I do not have residency there. Despite repeatedly explaining to them that I had done this multiple time before on other airlines, and that immigration in El Salvador does NOT ask for proof of return, they would not let me board unless I purchased a return ticket to the United States. As expected, I was NOT asked for ANY proof of return when entering El Salvador. The Avianca staff was uninformed, wrong, and rude. They showed no interest in listening to us or helping us solve this problem. I will now have to call and cancel this ticket, and fight to get the $25 ticketing fee refunded. Do not expect great service from Avianca."

I would recommend that they first see if there is an earlier initial flight that the customer could make, then look at finding later connecting flights. We found out about delay 8 hours prior, so we had plenty of time to get to the airport earlier. Total delay required me to take additional day off of work."

If this is the case with booking through third party sites, I won't do this again."

This has interfered with other travel plans and tickets that have already been purchased once I reached my final destination of Bogota, Columbia. I need to reach Quito, Ecuador by March 21st and I'm now back in San Francisco extremely disappointed."

Copa charged us $150 per ticket cancellation fee and remainder was provided as a credit on Copa Airlines. Copa will not refund the ticket cost. This was a special once-in-a-lifetime trip with friends. Not likely that we will make another attempt to fly to Quito or anywhere else Copa flies, so we have a 100% loss."

The attendant at the counter told me there was nothing he could do and that I needed to call Copa’s reservation number, which he couldn’t even give me he said I needed to look it up myself. Then before I had even called the reservation line he said he was closing the ticket counter and wouldn’t be back until 9:30. I called the reservation line who said that there was nothing they could do because my flight hadn’t even left yet and that I needed to talk to the attendant who had already left. I then waiting over 2 hours for the ticket counter to reopen only to be told that all of my flights through Copa had been cancelled and that I would need to pay almost $2000 just to get on different flights. I ended up having to use a completely different airline and spend an additional $1000 because Copa would not help and was extremely rude. This was the first time I would have flown Copa and I will never fly with them again."

Pros: "The crew was very friendly, helpful and kind. I was sad and tearful when I boarded just from saying goodbye to some people I love. One of the crew, Maria, was very kind and brought me tissues and asked if she could do anything for me. She also checked back in with me. I really appreciated her kindness and care."
Pros: "I preordered the kosher option, more out of curiosity, and the hope that it would be better than standard coach fare. It wasn't. It consisted of a pastry, a roll and some applesauce. A waste of packaging."
Cons: "My husband and I went to Panama specifically to go on a surf trip. Our surfboard bag containing three surfboards did not arrive at the Panama City airport until 3 days after we arrived. It entailed multiple phone calls and many trips to and from the airport before we got our surf boards. The COPA baggage people kept telling us they would call with updates as to when the board bag was going to arrive but they never did. We had to stay in an expensive hotel for three days in Panama City, which we didn't plan to stay in the city at all."
Cons: "Despite arriving at the airport in Panama 3 hours before our flight we were given no seats, and told it was likely we would be flying at 6 pm instead of 9 am (our flight to SFO). Eventually we got the seats at the gate without a word of explanation. And my husband and I were given separate seats. He got an exit row seat, though, with no other passengers seating next to him."

The bold ones (like me) moved into other lines that were moving faster and got service, while others in the general boarding line had to wait and wait. It was so sad. The food was really bad - the past and chicken were terrible."

On my way to Mexico they required that I show proof that I had a flight leaving Mexico. I did, on another airline, and I couldn't access my email to prove it so they would not let me board the flight., Again there is NO requirement to prove my returning flight, I had to pay a change fee to board the flight the following day, I lost a day of my vacation, because of the airline requirements THAT NO OTHER AIRLINE requires."

Food was subpar for an AA flight, especially international. Entertainment system has many defects and problems, for example "search" is useless. Uninspiring and forgettable film choices as well. The knob to control air flow was broken which made it chilly. To finish as I started, a more engaged and pleasant crew could have made all the other things more palpable and acceptable. They were just too cold, like the temperature in the cabin and distant."

My wife, 2 year old son, and I was boarding at the gate and they couldn't scan my son's boarding pass. They quickly went over to the computer station and gave my son another pass. We went to our seats and found out someone else is in our 2year old seat. Apparently they gave the seat to someone else at the last second because up to the point when I printed our boarding passes at the kiosk, our seats were still together (and I paid $41/per seat extra to try to keep us together). The other customer was nice enough to switch with our son so were able to stay together at the last min so it goes to show AA priority and service."

NO BACKUP CAPTAINS or 1st OFFICERS AT LAX? Then miraculously during our 3rd hour waiting for a Captain they discovered the 1st Officer was going to time out. So, rather than KNOW this while searching for a Captain, they waited for 3 hours and then had to find a 1st Officer to fill in. Result 2.5 more hours of delay. Even the Flight crew was in disbelief on this one. I think we should all get reimbursed and triple miles for this snafu. Not weather or mechanical - just poorly managed time -- BY A MAJOR AIRLINE - INEXCUSABLE!"

Cons: "Fight was operated by American. Alaska forced to wait in line and see assistance, then inform that because the flight is operated by American, they won't be able to check me in. Had to walk to a different terminal of LAX wait in 2 more lines and by the time they were able to assist it was too late to check in. Missed the flight, have to rebook a 3 hour later departure, move the meeting and take a flight back 4 hours later that has a layover and adds about 2.5 hours more on the return leg. Not to mention having to pay for the new seat."

When we got to the gate he announced the crew had timed out and that we should take our things and get down to wait for more information. Once at the gate we were told they were trying to put a new crew together for us, including the pilot. While we waited they did provide good quality deli food for us. I appreciate the food but the 5 hour delay, I did not appreciate."
Pros: "Our 'lullaby flight' was not completely full, so that made things nice, but what really made our day after being tired from traveling and finally getting on this flight was the steward. I don't know his name, but he's most likely one of American Airline's most senior stewards. His grey hair did not stop him from being one of the most positive and funny people to lighten up a flight. Thank you!"
