They allowed passengers to board that were seated at the end of the plane while some 1 was boarding, causing tons of congestion. The boarding process was the slowest I have ever experienced in all the flights I’ve been on. The crew was ok, but slightly snappy/rude like typical New Yorkers. The flight from ft. Lauderdale to New York was much more pleasant."

You don't get assigned a seat until YouTube up at the airport... That's fine, not really a big deal. But because you didn't select a seat, they don't let you print or view your boarding pass on your phone, forcing you to go to the checking desk. For someone that has TSA pre check and travels alot, all that extra time adds up and can sometimes cause you to miss your flight. Because there is on "fast line" when you check-in like there is at the security check point. I only have this problem with Delta, never American airlines..."

And the flight was only supposed to be delayed 15 min, and we didn’t take off until 45 min later, which made us miss our connection. Very disappointing service/ flight from WestJet!"
Pros: "I fly frequently and this is the first time I've travelled with West Jet. The big difference was the staff. Unlikely many airlines the West Jet crew - in flight and the ground crew - were all very friendly, helpful and actually seemed like they enjoyed their jobs. I called West Jet prior to checking in on-line and my call was answered within a minute by a real human who was so helpful. That's the polar opposite of so many airlines like Air Canada."

Air Canada gave $200 for a two hour delay to our friends, we were screwed over and offered nothing. So disappointed. Pros: "WS Care Center staff Minmico (think it was her name) arranged the 4:15 flight instead of the 6 pm flight but only because I requested her to check that flight when I returned to the CC to find out if it was possible to get on an earlier flight. I should have been advised when I first arrived at the CC from my delayed flight from Toronto that I could check back at the CC to see if there was a cancellation. Minmico allowed me to use her phone a couple of times to call my husband to advise him of the changes in my flight, which was very helpful. She tried hard just prior to the flight departure to have my bag delivered to the 4:15 flight but was unsuccessful. She gave me food vouchers, which I liked. I also thought the WS CC staff in Abbotsford was very helpful explaining the process for making a baggage claim when my bag didn't arrive due to my last minute flight change - the $100 voucher was appreciated when I picked up my bag the next day."

Crew did not communicate in a timely manner about when we would be flying.The plane should not have been in operation if the computer didn't work and passengers should not have had to wait on the plane for two hours while it was fixed. I missed my WS connecting flight to Abbotsford from Calgary and was only rescheduled on a plane departing 6 hours later! No one at WesJet Care suggested there may be a cancellation on an earlier flight - I had to arrange it by returning to the WS Care Center. I just barely made it onto an earlier 4:15 pm flight but without my bag which was put onto the later 6 pm flight. I chose to return the next day to pick up my bag."

This was not indicated to me when purchasing the ticket and absolutely horrible policy of weet jet and kayak by affiliation. How can you be selling tickets and not clearly indicating whether or baggage is not included. Also when we checked in it did not indicate this fee. It wasn’t until we got to the airport were we notified. Not that it makes a difference because obviously if we checked bags original departure we would obviously need to bring them back. The whole thing seems sleazy. Otherwise the service was pretty good."

When we tried to explain the previous flights she responded with “I just explained this to the other passengers...it’s not allowed.” We didn’t argue, and gave the bag to the personnel in attendance, but the tone for the duration of the flight continued."

My husband and I are both enrolled in the AA frequent flyer program and had at least 6 people cut in front of us while on-line. When we finally approached the AA representative, Dayana Gómez, She was rude and not helpful. Our seats on the UIO-Dallas flight did not even recline. We sat completely upright for the duration of the 6 hour overnight night flight into Dallas."

This is embarrassing at the gate especially since it looks like we are cutting the line. What good is this "privilege" if you have to assert it every time or hold a credit card in hand with your carryon and boarding pass. This should be included in our ticketing at the time of purchase and upgraded on our boarding pass if we use the damn card for the purchase. It is now not a "privilege" but an inconvenience."

Imagine no one alerted you to the fact that you were not taking Finn air, as all of your travel documents indicated, but American Airlines that had set up operations with Finn air as a front to cover their poor allegiance and performance as of late. Classic bait and switch at the tune of several thousand dollars. This is worthy of congressional over site."

Cons: "We arrived at St Stomas airport 85 minutes profile to our flights departure. The female manager, Latoya, at the desk was overly rude and completely out of line the way she was speaking to guests. Apparently American Airlines requests 90 minutes before departure to check you in, however their website does say they will try to accomadate customers that have arrived late. This employee refused 24 people access to the flight that we had booked and paid for. She related that she could put everyone on standby for the next and final flight out of Saint Thomas and standby for multiple connecting flights from Miami to many different parts of the country. This is because American Airlines over books their flights on purpose and has no problem leaving people stranded at an airport. Another employee related that it was easily accomplished to confirm is for the flight as we would have plenty of time prior to boarding since the aircraft had yet to arrive from its original location. American Airlines would not speak to any of the paid customers and would not look into other flights to see if there were other options to get customers home. When we boarded the plane there were still 4 customers that American Airlines stranded at the airport with no more flights out of the airport that day. This was an absolute disgrace and it was disgusting to see how the American Airlines staff were treating people. Their companies customer service has nothing to say other then sorry. I will never fly American Airlines again and now know why so many other people also feel this way."

The depart time for the sju flight was 3am i have to be in the airport 2hrs before so this was a allmost 24hrs flight for me because i reach my destination at 4pm. I expect comunication from you."

Cons: "At the airport check in, over 100 of us stood in line to drop off bags for TWO HOURS with no Spirit staff in sight. When the staff did arrive, they were slow about helping us, laughed and joked with each other ignoring us, and not even apologetic. Once they began taking bags, they weren't friendly or even very attentive. The flight attendants paid little attention to the customers...stayed all up front eating, talking to each other, or on their electronic devices. The seats are very cramped, uncomfortable, and had no pocket or way to recline (unless you paid extra). There was no complimentary snack/beverage options...not even water...and this was for a 3 hour flight. The overall staff was not friendly or inclined to be helpful."

Once she looked up my flight she and the manager said I couldn't get on because I was 43 mins late and they are allowed to cancel your flight if you are later than 45 mins from the boarding time. I was TWO minutes later and the security line was not long so I know I would have made my flight but they refused to give me a boarding pass. It was the worst service I EVER received and I bet they just wanted to give up my seat so they could resell it. I will NEVER fly spirit again."

I understand the idea of 'low ticket prices' and 'less accommodations' but your company put us on an unbelievably small airplane treated us like herded animals. You are a business and are supposed to treat your clients like such. Completely unsatisfactory."

To carry on a bag is minimum $55 and maximum $100. To check a bag is $50. Please tell me, who flies internationally from Guatemala to Boston WITH NO BAGS?! Additionally, soft drinks, which should be complementary are priced at $3. Their motto is don't pay hidden fees for things you don't use, but tell me, who doesn't want a drink on a 2.5 hour flight? The seats were the skinniest, thinnest, most uncomfortable seats I have ever had the displeasure in sitting in and there were advertisements on the overhead compartments, as if I were riding on the NYC subway. Although when I purchased the seats I selected to have my husband and myself sit next to each other, during check in, they tried to charge an additional $10 to rearrange our incorrectly-ticketed seats, so we could sit together as I had originally hoped. We then had the worst layover experience I've had to date, and I've traveled extensively domestically and to 14 countries, some multiple times. We had a 40-minute layover in Myrtle Beach, where 130 people remained on the plane to continue on to Boston. However, nearly all those passengers had different tickets for the second flight and although we did not deplane, we were expected to move ourselves and our baggage to our secondarily assigned seats. For some reason, for our flight to Boston, my husband and I were separated. I would never have voluntarily chosen to be separated from my husband, and I have no idea how we had seats next to each other for our two previous flights, but then were asked to separate for our third 2-hour flight. How is it possible with modern-day computer technology that we could not just remain in our same seats, when we were remaining on the same plane? This was the worst travel experience I have ever had the displeasure of enduring and I will NEVER give my money to this airline again. This airline is a complete scam with all of its hidden costs, lack of customer service and completely inhumane treatment of its passengers. I strongly warn everyone to stay far away from Spirit Airlines."

Not to mention the big airlines don't charge for a carry on and they only charge $25 for a checked bag. It's such a scam that they offer low flight prices only to jack up the price on luggage!!! Roundtrip, we spent $210 on luggage in addition to our ticket price!!!! I could have flown with one the big airlines and saved money after all that! Then...my return flight home was cancelled by Spirit due to weather, which I can totally appreciate happens. The issue was that the next available flight wasn't until 3 days LATER!!! Yes, you read that correctly. They offered no hotel accommodations, no sympathy, no other options and were completely unaccomodating outside of refunding me the price of a one-way ticket. Don't fly spirit unless you like being frustrated!! I will never ever fly them again."

Little offerings of snacks as has become the usual on flights. Everything seemed to go smoothly. I like how friendly they were with pets. Even a pet that had no crate, of which I am sure they made an exception. The dog was totally well mannered. I like flights that are kind to pets."
