Make sure to have long periods between connecting flights

Go early to the airport. Pay for your baggage early to get a discount.

Plan in delays. Local St John airport security is very slow. Try to get earliest possible flight out to allow for delays and still get home in a reasonable time.
RogerFlew with American AirlinesBGI-MIAApr 2025
Get something to eat before you leave and have something on the plane because they only give you a cup of juice and 2 ginger biscuits on the flight

Be prepared for long security times, you have to clear customs in Aruba, and there can be a substantial line if you get there at the wrong time. They tell you to be there 3 hours early for a reason.
DanineFlew with DeltaSTT-ATLFeb 2025
Arrive early. Pack light if you can. The airport is small and you may not have immediate seating available.
VictoriaFlew with JetBlueGCM-JFKFeb 2025
Make sure to get passport checked by gate before lining up. They did not announce it and the boarding process was chaotic.

You clear US Immigration, TSA and customs before your flight from Nassau so when you arrive in the US you can go straight to your connecting flight - or leave the airport if that is your final destination. Easy!

You are better to fly out of Nassau. Take a small puddle jumper or the ferry to Nassau and you have your choice of many large airlines.

Arrive early to give yourself time to browse Duty Free etc.

Those flights are always full. Don’t bring to much carry on items
RobFlew with Silver AirwaysMHH-FLLMay 2024
You better have at least five hours in between when your flight is expected to arrive from marsh Harbor and Fort Lauderdale to have any chance of making any connecting flights from Fort Lauderdale to another destination.
VickieFlew with Spirit AirlinesSJU-DFWMay 2024
If you have a lengthy vacation Spirit may not be the best since you can only take 40 lbs in your checked bag.

Only fly Delta, Canada Air, or British Airways to T&Cs. Never book flights for Saturday and Sunday. If at all possible schedule your departure in the morning, not in the afternoon. Note that the staff in T&Cs is struggling and the facilities are awful. Do not expect to have power outlets or wifi. The only airconditioned "terminal" is upstairs. Go straight there and grab a seat as soon as you get through security. Don't eat the pre-made food from the convenience stores, order from Gilleys. The owner's son for Gilleys' restaurant is amazing. Delta's staff is amazing. Everyone else is miserable and hateful. Best of luck.

Bring your own snacks and water; you have to pay a lot of money for their low-quality food. Download media to your device ahead of time, or bring a book so you don’t have to pay for the overpriced WiFi.

If you wanna eat something in Domino’s Pizza or Wendy’s in Montego Bay airport, you have to spend at least 30-35 min in line, be prepared

the Wifi never works to watch movies on your own device so be sure to download them to your device before-hand.

Reduce size and amount of carry-on luggage, While in Trinidad please stay close to Gate, boarding may begin with any announcement, While you're in transit for less than 3hrs.and not leaving the transit area passengers are being rough up by customs and security.

The flight is 3 hours and 19 minutes long. I would not fly Spirit unless you are willing to incur the additional charges for either extra wide seating or bulkhead seating.

The ticket agents in West Palm Beach on Friday afternoon Nov. 7th were incredible in getting us on an earlier plane to Atlanta during the government shutdown. Had the taken our original flight we would have missed our connection. She did this on her own, We didn't even have to ask, and she did it all with a smile and showing genuine concern that we would be taken care of. We are very grateful and thankful. We fly often, and now we will be sure to fly Delta.

the over had ligth did not work'd for the all way

Flight delayed then cancelled. Misplaced luggage. Still do not have. Rented car 1100 mile drive. I had to buy some overnight Hotels clothes toiletries gas food at my expense. Still not home. Not sure where luggage is. Over 4 hours on hold to Felta

I truly love flying with Delta. They have always treated me with the upmost respect

Our flight attendant in FIRST CLASS was one of the worst I’ve ever had. She was not at all pleasant, nor particularly good at her service.

Everything went well and was good. Nothing exceptional, but no complaints either. Cheap seats are pretty comfortable.

DELTA does a terrific job making sure you are well taken care of during the flight, gives you assurance before the flight through numerous email notifications about your upcoming flight & lastly good follow up after the flight making sure your needs were mat. It has been, is & will continue to be my carrier of choice in all my future travels. Good Job DELTA

Staff were friendly and happy. Delta could make sure passengers that don't have the app know of changes. Without Kayak I would not have known about the change of gate or the delay. Kayak was faster to notify me.

They ended up paying for the bag twice, but the counter wouldn't take my baggage receipt. Left it to me to resolve. Not sure how to resolve the issue.

The customer service before board was very rude and when I expressed my concerns about making the connecting flight she laughed and told me I bought the wrong ticket. I explained once it showed the flight was delayed it no longer let me change seats or anything. I was trying to upgrade to make sure I would get to the next gate on time.

Great crew, excellent landing, good food. Over all great experience. Thank you!

Older aircraft, no meal, only food was for purchase. Not impressed United.

United needs to step up their game. Delayed flight leaving Seattle, San Francisco. Older aircraft, not very comfortable.

Always wish for more healthy, gluten free options. We have to bring our own.

Having a long layover, I was very appreciative of the ability to stand by for an earlier flight. Other airlines like Delta have refused this to me in the past, just to be mean (because my ticket class wasn't high enough). United went out of their way to help me get to my destination early, which I really appreciated given that it was the third leg of a 24+ hour journey for me.

This flight leg was fantastic - super comfortable and a great selection of things to watch on the TV. Staff were excellent, really above and beyond.

Other than a way way too cold cabinets for the entire flight, all was great

One bag is incorrect and not acceptable for an international flight. The food was not just good. I won't fly with them again.

The flight attendants were very rude, beyond comprehension. I took a business class from London to SFO for the first time on United. When I asked for a second piece of bread during dinner, the serving attendant threw a 3rd bread on my plate and said, “here. You can have this one too”! I couldn’t believe the rudeness of the attendant. Most all attendants were very rude, unhelpful, sing the food was absolutely disgusting. Never fly United internationally in business class. My flight back to SFO was a nightmare!!

Not pleasant trip cross country when the entertainment and WiFi system not working. No entertainment for entirety of route. Staff was rather nonchalant in that they dismissed the problem due to age of plane. It would have been nice to know this up front so I could have come prepared to read or download movies before boarding Coincidentally or not, there was a similar issue with the entertainment system on my previous flight I took on my fist leg of the trip. There are no seat TVs, so you must rely on the app when it works. United can do better. Also, what use it it to pay for boarding group 2 when half of the passengers are in the same line as you?

we landed at cmh ten minutes early but had to sit on tarmac for twenty minutes because a plane was at our gate despite the fact that 3 other gates were open.

flight was good until we arrived at cmh ten minutes early but then sat on tarmac for twenty minutes because a plane was at our gate, so we had to wait despite the pilot tellling us that 3 other gates were open.

The experience with American Airlines was good, although the Philippines Airlines flight was much better (better seats, better food, better entertainment options, overall better). Again, the MIA to LAX flight was fine, but nothing in comparison to the comfort and accommodations of the Philippines Airlines flight from LAX to MNL.

I have a gluten allergy so did have any food

I have a gluten allergy so didn't have any food

Loved the crew . Absolutely no complaints. Except for luggage lost

Everything was good The connects, with no blame to crew. Or pilots. I understand they are short staffed. Everything went well for me. I'll be using you guys again in May if not sooner.

this plane was really old, had exit row seats and tray was in arm of seat so super uncomfortable to use. another seat they could t even use the tray it was broke. seat i. front of me had duct tape on it cause seat was ripped open... this plane should either be updated or retired.

Baggage handling poor. Second time this has happened. My bag went to San Francisco instead of Fiji. No apology. Luckily Nadi airport staff are fantastic. My bag arrived in Fiji the next day.

We loved the steward on the plane. He made the night enjoyable

The flight was two hours late due to a computer fault and resulting maintenance. Nothing was offered as compensation beyond bottles of water during the time we were deplaned and waiting in the terminal.

Very pleasant flight attendants. Gate crew rather loud chatting with each other.

Four plus hour flight delay in New York caused us to take off after 11:30pm. We didn’t arrive at our hotel until five hours after check in. Started the trip off feeling exhausted.

Friendly crew. Poor food service maybe due to full flight. All in all, you get what you pay for.

Plane was in bad shape. TV’s and WiFi didn’t work. Plane need a refresh. Not enough room for bags.

Everything was great. I liked the text updates so that I never miss a gate change & I have all the latest info.

I don’t usually fly budget airlines or airlines in the United States. It was as good as any other airline. The seats are comfortable and the airline attendants are not rude & surly. Very nice flight (s).

They have the most inexperienced / rude flight staff I’ve encountered

very difficult boarding process - aggressive passengers not the friendliest crew

WiFi was not eorkig (again) And the plane was from 1990 with the screens which were.not touch and most didn’t even work and if lucky could tune in tv

They could give you a snack or at least something to drink during the flight. The flight was also delayed.

They cut off check in at 1 hr, while we were in line, & sold our seats.

Poor poor, airline people are rude unfriendly and unhelpful, they need to be trained to be customer friendly and gelpful

Delays, changing flight times and screws us up when connecting with another flight . It’s the same ole story. Bahamasair don’t care and no one holds them accountable.

Poor, every time it’s Delays, delayed by 3 hrs to depart and still waiting in airport as another delay with no updates , Bahamasair is the worst and they are not interested in improving.

I love everything about bahamasair. Especially the safety they have for the people. I don't care how long they delay once I reach safe that's all. They made me not afraid to fly anymore

I love bahamasair safety always blown away. They made my fears from travel so much better. Bahamasair #1 Highly recommend We don't just fly here. We live here Pilots and crew keep up the good work.

Going the plane was late and then Bahamas Air chartered another plane to take the passengers to San Salvador.

4 hour delay Noisy passengers Tight seats Missed connecting flight in Ft. Lauderdale

We were scheduled to travel at 12pm. The flight got delayed with no updates until 11:30am. They advised that we will receive an update at 1pm. However, the flight was then delayed until 6pm with no clear indication as to if that was the departure time. It was NOT! They decided to combine two of their scheduled flights into one due to the smaller number of passengers. If you do not wish to be inconvenienced, “STAY AWAY FROM THIS AIRLINE”!!!!!!They do have a track record of this!
