Cons: "Our depart time was 1pm and our actual departure didn’t happen until 11pm. On and off the plane multiple times for mechanical failures for 10 hours. Delta had no plan and there were no hotel rooms. They diverted a NY flight through Atlanta waiving the covid restrictions to get us all on the plane. They Put us in a hotel In Atlanta, which was nice and convenient, but it was 2am when we went to sleep and backup at 6am to catch our flight. Not the way we wanted to end our amazing Key West vacation."

Cons: "We went in LGA to the Baggage drop off and the employee there was super rude. On the flight to New York with Delta we had to check our carry ons at the gate because it wasn't enough room for bags in the airplane.so we asked when we checked our one suitcase if we can/should check our carry ons to avoid having to do it at the gate. The delta employee told me sure no problem. He checks in my one suitcase I purchased gives me the tracking paper and says ok have a good flight. I asked him so what is with our carry ons and he told us that that would cost 25$ and we can't check those in at the drop off?!?We ended up taking the carry ons with to the gate and then off course there wasn't enough room on the airplane that we had to check it in. And surprise it was free?? We had never issues with Lufthansa, icelandair etc. with checking our bags at drop off to not needing to carry it around and than still end up to check it at the airplane. Every airline has been more than happy that we volunteer to check our bags that they don't have the trouble at the gate."

Next flight was not much better, oh and wifi did I t work on it also - last 3-4 delta flights I've taken have been late and didn't have working wifi - starting to think their system doesn't work at all - seriously going to take any other carrier but Delta going forward"

A pleasant flight overall with my first impression being an airline with current popular music playing in the background and flight attendants cheerful. Since I was traveling alone, I opted to not purchase my seat prior to my flight date, instead I chose my aisle seat within 24 hours for free. I checked in my one bag and found out I had pre-checked so my security check went so smooth at the new terminal 2 at LAX. Looking forward to my flight back on June 15."

I have not met a person yet who has been able to figure out the American Airlines app for entertainment.

Flight was delayed by one hour, then another 1/2 hour then cancelled and changed till the next day. We were not allowed to get our luggage & put up in a dirty hotel. I had cockroaches in the bathroom. When I finally arrived home…i noticed the airline had damaged the zipper on my suitcase. An awful awful trip thanks to American Airlines.

I flew United a few weeks ago and had to politely ask the person next to me both on return and departing flight to make sure the mask covered thier nose. A lot of people in the cabin weren't wearing masks properly and the crew didn't seem to care."

American should be really embarrassed at how far it has fallen."

If you serve customers from all walks of life including Hindus, vegetarians, Islam, Judaism, it should be expected that the flight attendant know if that is turkey or ham. Another thing is that there was no final check by the flight attendant. We landed with tray tables down, seats recline, and people were still on their laptops."

It is stressful to have to do it after landing, with no real place to write. The flights were both fine, but the layover in DFW was a nightmare. Thankfully we landed 30 min early, but we only made our connection with a few minutes the spare. We ran through the airport, and had to ask many people if we could go ahead of them at the security. We didn't have time to use the bathroom and buy water/food. I understand this is not the airline's fault, but I would recommend extending the minimum connection time at this airport."

The flight attendant, Angel lives up to her name- what an angel! I love her! She was so helpful and attentive and patient. My daughter spilled some juice on her shorts and not only did Angel help me clean up my daughter, she did not hesitate to pick up my daughter’s dirty shorts and neatly packaged it away for me! She went above and beyond her future to provide THE BEST customer service and flight I’ve had in over 20+ years of flying. Thank you, Angel, please continue to excel at exceptional customer service professional!

But I had no chance of sleeping through it because my seat would not lean back; in fact it was so far upright that I was almost leaning forward. I can normally sleep on any flight but this was like sitting in a tiny cage designed to prevent me from finding any remotely comfortable position or getting any rest at all. They should not be allowed to sell a seat like this."

We left 2.5 hours late due to "weather" (not because there are too many goddamn seats on the plane.) Then, before landing, we were asked to stay in our seats so people who are late for connections can get off first. Seems reasonable. THEY DIDN'T HAVE A GATE FOR US WHEN WE LANDED! The captain said 20 minutes til we can get a gate, but he'll try to get it sooner. He apparently didn't succeed, because it was 45 minutes (!!) before we got to the gate! As a result, 3 hours 15 minutes late. Officially this is "due to weather." Sure."

No, they tell you that you get to call customer service when you return home."

Cons: "Both flights were INCREDIBLY delayed. First, the flight from San Jose was delayed 1.5 hours because they were "waiting for the aircraft." After everybody finally boarded the plane an announcement was made that somehow the luggage crew had damaged the cargo hold, and that everybody would have to deplane. It would take 45 minutes for maintenance crew to arrive to assess the situation. People got up, got their luggage out of the overhead bins, and started moving to the front of the plane. The pilot then came back on the intercom and told everyone they would have to return to their seats. Roughly an hour later we finally took off. It would have been the decent thing to do to AT LEAST offer the passengers something (i.e. comp drinks or snacks), but the cheapskates at United DIDN'T EVEN APOLOGIZE. Multiple people missed their connections. Fast forward to IAH--> SAT. Another late flight. This time, everybody boarded the plane only to be informed that due to a problem with the plane's computer everybody would have to sit on the plane while they "rebooted" its computers. This was done TWICE. UNITED AIRLINES, GET IT TOGETHER. There is a very good reason you are consistently ranked one of the WORST US-flagged carriers, which makes you one of the MOST HATED AIRLINES ON THE PLANET. I really and truly pray that the US airlines and their lobbyists lose their battle to prevent foreign flagged carriers from operating within the US, because you all deserve to go bankrupt."

I get bad weather, I wouldn't want to go up in a plane in a thunderstorm regardless of the circumstances....but I spent almost a day getting to my destination that should of only taken9 hours tops. Delay upon delay, arriving right when my next flight was leaving. Very rude staff, I saw an attendant yell at a mom and daughter like she was their mom. Non-apologetic to anyone. Their goal is to shove you in the plane and shove you out. Are they safe airline? Yes, they will get you to where you need to be...but not before they make your life hell. I don't normally do reviews on anything, but United still has me frustrated even a week later. I almost forgot, they did give $20 to eat. Do you know how expensive airport food is?"

In the age of mobility this User Experience (UX Design) should be a priority. #2. When we were trying to leave Costa Rica again we had issues with your Bar Code Scanners. We were able to download on our phone but when we go to customs after waiting in long lines we were told that they were not accepting Spirit airlines bar codes. You were the only airlines with long lines. Not even the kiosk was able to print boarding passes so we had to wait in long lines just to get a print out from the service desk."

Nothing is complimentary (not even soft drinks or a bag or pretzels,) drinks are super expensive, there is no hanging options for your suits/dress (so don't bother to dry clean before you come) and there is no entertainment options at all. Also, when picking your seats do not pick the seats with only two thinking that you will have a window seat next to your travel partner- instead the third seat by the window is where you will be sitting with the flight attendant. Overall, it was the worst flight experience of my life."

There was horrible communication between the airline and the airport and we were held on the plane for an additional 30 minutes after landing which caused us to miss our connecting flight. They said it was our fault for missing the connecting flight even though it was out of our control. We were stuck at the airport and the next available flight was not until the following day. We received no compensation for their mistakes."

They were told to tell us that we had to switch flights because we wouldn't make the connecting flight, but in fact it was because the flight was overbooked. They said I'd get a hotel and then I had to take a taxi to the hotel where there was no room - as the hotel and had already informed the Spirit airlines staff. By the time I returned to the airport for a new hotel voucher it was 3am - and I'd been at the airport since 12am. Mostly it was also crazy to see the situations of other passengers with that airline. The staff were nice, but I wouldn't even feel safe flying with spirit again, much less like I'd be well served."

Therefore we were forced to rent a car (paid for out of pocket) and drive to another airport in order to make it to detroit"

They would not give us a new flight. They would not give us food vouchers. No car rentals. No housing. We were stranded in a foreign country for 12 extra hours with NOTHING. On top of that they were rude, unhelpful, and after the 12 hour delay, DELAYED THE FLIGHT AGAIN. They would not help with anything. They simply blamed the "ash" that apparently didn't affect any other airline but Spirit. Never ever using them again."
Cons: "My flight to Costa Rica was delayed over four hours due to a computer panel malfunction. Spirit "compensated" us passengers with a $50 certificate which was good only on another Spirit flight that you had to book within 60 days, and a meal voucher which only came after we had waited so long that we had eaten anyway. In my opinion, they wanted to appear as if they were trying to do something for us while actually giving us nothing of any practical value. My return flight to Fort Lauderdale was scheduled to depart at 12:30 PM. We arrived at the airport and waited over an hour in line to be told that the flight had been delayed until midnight due to a volcanic eruption. The only information they would give us was that we were supposed to come back at 9:30 PM to see if the flight would be departing. They did not offer us any amenities or any other options other than to sit in the airport for 12 hours and wait. At our own expense, my mother and I went and got a hotel room so we could at least be comfortable. We returned as instructed at 9:30 PM, and there were no Spirit airlines employees at the airport. They did not show up until 10:30 PM. We waited another hour in line, learned that our flight was delayed yet again, and basically sat in the terminal until we were finally allowed to board at 2 AM. Now I understand that a volcanic eruption is completely beyond anyone's control, however Spirit appeared to be the only airline operating out of this airport who could not figure out some sort of an alternative to accommodate its passengers. When we came back as instructed at 9:30 PM, we were the only passengers in the entire airport. Yes, the entire airport was empty except for us, and a few security personnel. And Spirit airlines did not even bother to show up until an hour later. Now, if this lengthy delay was really due to volcanic conditions, why did every other airline operating out of that airport figure out a solution? You would think that after such unpleasant experience, the airline would at least offer you some free snacks? Well, you would be wrong. They would not even offer us so much as a bag of peanuts or a cup of water for free. Let me also say that when my mother and I arrived at the hotel we had reserved so that we could wait more comfortably, we explained the situation to the girl at the check-in counter and she asked what airline we were flying. When we told her, she rolled her eyes and gave us a look that said "oh, them again!" According to her, this kind of thing happened twice a week on a regular basis I already had a very low opinion of spirit airlines because of their mercenary pricing tactics. They post a low fare to get you to buy a ticket with them, then they hit you with all kinds of ridiculous fees to make up the difference. For an airline ticket that was less than $400, we had to pay nearly $110 in extra baggage checking and seat selection fees. Then they switched our seats anyway."

Después de que el vuelo se atrasara más de 4 horas, nunca logré entender porque fue que nos atrasamos. Nos decían que íbamos a hacer una cosa y hacían otra. Pasamos de ilusiones y luego desilusiones durante horas. Amo viajar y nunca en mi vida me había sentido tan estresado como viajando con Spirit Airlines. No solo fue el atraso del vuelo, sino que también salíamos a las 12:45pm de San José, hora a la que usualmente creo que todos almorzamos, y no se les ocurrió darnos de comer sino hasta las 6:00pm (hora de Costa Rica) y yo no se si según ellos por darnos una latita de Pringles y un vaso de Coca Cola ya se nos iba a olvidar el terrible atraso que tuvimos. Cuando llegué al aeropuerto de Miami noté que habían roto una rueda de mi maleta y se lo dije a una empleada de Spirit Arilines que no sabía que hacer así que recurrió a otra y lo que me dijeron fue que eso no era problema de ellas porque probablemente había sucedido en Costa Rica y luego se fueron. Ahora mismo estaba tratando de hacer el Check In para mi vuelo de regreso y nunca había sido tan complicado hacer un Check In, ni siquiera entiendo porque no puedo hacerlo. Entro a la pagina de preguntas y soporte al cliente de Spirit Airlines y para responder a la pregunta de COMO hacerlo, lo único que saben decir son los beneficios que tiene, beneficios a los cuales me ENCANTARÍA tener si tan solo en su pagina dijeran COMO se hace. He pagado casi $100 en equipaje solo porque nunca nadie me dijo que si lo pagaba como un mes antes iba a salir más barato, que por cierto su pagina de internet es de lo PEOR que he visto, porque después de pagar mi maleta para ir de regreso, ni siquiera me decía si se había cargado bien a mi tarjeta o me daban una factura, simplemente volví al sitio para administrar mi viaje y ahora solo estoy rezando para que cuando llegue al aeropuerto en serio el pago se haya realizado correctamente. En fin, voy a tener que seguir viajando muy seguido a los Estados Unidos desde Costa Rica y puedo jurarles que NUNCA voy a volver a viajar con Spirit Airlines."
