Cons: "The plane broke on the runway and was towed back to the terminal. They put me on the next plane and that one had mechanical issues too and was 30 mins delayed. Scary! I missed my connection to USA. T Aviamca made me pay $600 for a new ticket to Miami and then I had to arrange a new ticket with another airline to get to San Diego. The whole experience cost me the loss of a $3500 ticket, a $600 tickets, a $100 for a rental car, and the loss if my NY Eve plans. They dont care. Do not fly Avianca. Delta or Alaska would never treat a passenger thos way. Beware the Star Alliance. I will give up my Gold status with United in 2020 as a result of the behaviour of their so-called 'partner' airline. Imagine if I had been traveling with my family?! Wow!"

Cons: "My luggage arrived damaged. Avianca told me they can reimburse me for US200 in miles for the inconvenience. My luggage certainly is worth more than US200 in miles. Certainly it is very hard to damaged a Samsonite ultralight (carbon fiber) and also certainly it is worth close to US 500. I am going to arrive to my final destination in Toronto with my claim and see what happened. I hope Avianca will honour me to either repair my luggage in Toronto or exchange it for another one similar."
Pros: "absolutley nothing, total bullshit airline. Was delayed going, and was cancelled twice on return trip."
Cons: "1. Departure flight was delayed over four hours in El Salvador. Had to be put on another airline and they lost my luggage. 2. Return flight was cancelled not once, but twice. Spent over 27 hours in airport before I finally began flying. WAS NOT COMPENSATED FOR MY HASSLE and lost money on hotels and lost wages."

Cons: "No social distancing due to all of the seats being booked. My significant other was moved from her seat to another one across from me which was unfortunate."

Pros: "We were delayed due to inbound flight being late. Then weather set in, which delayed all flights outbound in ORD. The flight crew went above and beyond to make up for your delay."
Pros: "Flying out around bad weather; lucky we got out in time. Pilot did a reasonable job keeping passengers up to speed on what was happening. Flight attendants were friendly and respectful. CRJ-900 leather seats are more comfortable than your average economy seat."
Cons: "In flight wifi didn't work the whole trip. Plane was a sauna getting in and on the ramp, air conditioning wasn't working on the ground. Boarding took FOREVER with some less than competent wheelchair agents (I think)."

Cons: "It turned out that we were on stand by (without anyone telling us until the morning of the flight) and did not know if we were going to fly out. We could not select any seats at check in and only found out our seats a few hours before the flight. It was quite unpleasant and stressful as my husband and I were flying with our two children and faced a real possibility of not being able to sit together or getting bumped off a flight all together. It was a code shared flight between Lufthansa and United and each airline kept sending us to the other to get any answers or help. neither were helpful. It made it for an extremely frustrating experience."

Cons: "I didn't like that my friends, who bought their tickets at the same time I did, with their own cards and checked in at the same time as me, didn't get a seat number. I had one assigned when my ticket printed out, after I checked in at the airport after they did. They had to wait until boarding was almost complete before they were afforded a seat. Seemed really strange. With United already having a bad name from recent stories on the news, it made us worry. Don't like worrying when it has anything to do with an airplane."

Pros: "On my way to new orleans i was late to the airport because i was at the vet to put my cat to sleep. His sickness came on very fast and unexpected for a young cat. It was, to say the least, an awful thing. He was my best buddy and i was feeling pretty crushed. When i arrived at the gate the door to the plane was closed making my already bad day worse. Thankfully a kind hearted member of your groundcrew sympathized with me and had the crew open the door andlet me on the plane. I didnt know that EVER happened. It was the nicest thing that has happened to me at an airport ever. Thank You. On a bad day you guys at Spirit Air gave me a lift i sorely needed. Again, Thank You!"

Cons: "After flying a dozen times with a suit bag and a backpack that fits under my seat, I've never had a problem The lady checking tickets gave me an ultimatum, either you fit your suit bag in your backpack, or you have to pay $59 for a carry-on bag. No ticket checker has ever said this to me in the past. She was rude, direct and didn't leave me with any other choice. She ignored me after she gave me the ultimatum, while I'm asking if this was a new policy. She gave me the cold shoulder. I was very frustrated, luckily the suit bag fit in my backpack. Then when I got on the plane there was so much space in the overhead bins, so I took out my suit bag and placed it in an overhead bin while the crew was watching. The crew didn't say anything. Your teams need to be more persistent with policy."
Cons: "I scheduled to fly Denver -> Chicago -> Fort Lauderdale. They cancelled my flight and put me on a terrible flight (Denver -> LA -> Fort Lauderdale) without telling me. So I cancelled their new itinerary for me and flew southwest. Spirit sucks."
