Pros: "1.The crew was average. the seat comfort is different in different rows as far as legroom is concerned. 2. The crew member was not aware of the procedure involved in passengers involved transfers to various destinations after landing at New Delhi. They misguided some passengers(including me) directing them to exit through emmigration procedure, collect the baggage and report at domestic transfer desk. we had been issued Transfer Boarding Pass at Chicago itself for our connection flight to Bengaluru.There was no need to go through the emmigration at New Delhi and collect the baggage. The baggage collection procedure was a hell of a business. This can be verified from the various registers maintained at domestic transfer desk. it took almost 3 hours for getting the luggage going through the customs etc, 4. At the arrival lounge there was no AIR INDIA HELP DESK or representative to guide the passengers. Similarly, the sign board only displayed transfers/baggage claims arrows. and the suddenly one finds a sign board displaying domestic transfers. At this point confusion arises as the passengers disembarked from international flights are required to go to international transfers where there is no requirements for emmigration and baggage collection as the emmigration procedures take place at final destination if it has the facilities. 3, The numbers of passengers affected may be verified from the various registers at the airport. On three registers kept at various entry points, we had to make entries as regards passport No. baggage tag No. Fligh No. etc, etc."
Cons: "WE received an email from AIR INDIA that our connecting Flight AI 174 from New Delhi to Bengaluru has been cancelled due to operational reasons. The new connecting flight is AI 1174 from New Delhi to Bengaluru. 2. While checking in at Chicago we were issued Transfer boarding passes for second leg of journey from New Delhi to Bengaluru. It displayed Flight No. AI 174, instead of AI 1174. When this was brought to the notice of the official at the counter at Chicago airport he told in their computer there is no change. The baggage tags also displayed AI 174. 3. After alighting at New Delhi and going through all the hell when we checked in at domestic transfer desk, the official observed that out Transfer Boarding passes for Delhi-Bengaluru sector is for AI 174 and the luggage ( four bags) also contained the same flight number AI 174. 4, we were told we will now be issued new boarding passes for AI 1774 as domestic passengers. SIMILARLY, new baggage tags were placed on luggage. There we were also told that AI 174 a San Francisco to Bengaluru Flight via New Delhi is not cancelled and it is only delayed, Had we not been misguided at Delhi, we could have simply boarded AI 174 at Delhi and the luggage also could have reached Bengaluru in the same flight without we going through the procedure of baggage retrieval process at Delhi as it was along with other passengers luggage already kept AT DELHI AIRPORT departure terminal for uploading in AI 174. It is our humble suggestion that even by mistake if passengers go through emmigration procedures at one airport instead of the next port of destination, system should be in place to take care of the same by MARKING the person to again go through the emmigration procedure at the final destination.."

The plane was suppose to take off at 230pm and didn’t take off til 834pm. I missed my connecting flight. There was no accommodation for the people flying."

They don’t even realize new born babies, infants, old age and sick peoples are traveling. This airline is dumb, worst, poor, bad, I’m not going to suggest to my relatives and friends neighbors for air India airline."

Tried reporting this to the crew member and he just laughed indicating that the passengers on Air India dont deserve entertainment system. I have traveled twice in AI and both the times it didnt work. Even if you are getting some other mid eastern airways for additional price, please chose that rather than Air India."

Cons: "At the Chicago airport I have to plead for the seats together for my parents and after realizing that my mother had a broken arm ,they finally gave one. This situation became worst when the Air India Airline didn't provided wheel chair assistance to my parents at the destination airport in New Delhi. We had requested it way earlier with our Itinerary. This is one of the worst flight to book. If you are taking this feedback try to work on this and make other customers aware that beware of booking your flights with Air India when you need wheel chair assistance."

Cons: "During the time of boating there were two people who were randomly checking the passengers and having them weigh their cabin baggage and carryon bags. In my case I had some extra weight in my bags since I was carrying my work laptop and personal laptop with me. They didn't let me board until I talk to Manager. I wanted to file a complaint regarding it. Both my checking bags had less then 23Kg. No one at the checking told me to weigh my carryon bags. If they would have told me at that time I could have transferred my stuff. This was first and last time I was flying from Air India. I will tell all my friends and family members not to fly with Air India. TV monitor was not working in my whole flight. Even the next seat passenger had the same issues. Cons: "Awful service! The air hosts/hostesses don't care about you if you traveling economy. This was a 16 hour flight but they didn't even offer water for 6-7 hours. I used my attendant button at least 12 times and no one came to my seat. I had to hunt them down and found all of them holed up in the back of the plan gossiping and laughing. Adding to this, their entertainment systems were faulty and didn't work half of the time I was on the plane. The sound quality may have been alright but the headphones that they provided gave a really muffled sound so it was really hard to understand. I tried to use my personal headphones but the entertainment system would only allow for Air India's "special" headphones. The food was mediocre and they served their meals in spurts. Within the first two hours of the plane taking off, they served us one meal. Then there was no food or water service for at least 8 more hours. Then they gave us a meal 4 hours before we were supposed to land and then again a heavy snack an hour later. So basically, we were left to fend for ourselves for 8 hours with no food or water. I am dreading the journey back from Delhi to Chicago now."

Brought it to her attention and the response I got was, "Sorry, the flight is full and there is no other seat available". I had to sit through 14 hour long journey looking at other passengers or hear babies cry non-stop !"

Cons: "they use older aircraft. nothing works, the entertainment center, the touch screen don't work at all, if you want to look at the map, none of your neighbor passenger's screen is working, or you want to listen or watch something you will never get it, looks like only 30% of the economy class touch screen/entertainment center works. the food sucks. crew only serves food and do nothing more for passengers. most of the time they dont have non veg, they dont even ask for veg or non veg, they will give you what they have. they don't serve drinks, you have to get up and go to the crew to get drinks. once they serve food, they go back to their hole. they wont come to check the needs of the passenger - water or other drinks. you have to go and get it yourself. horrible horrible experience in a long haul flight of 16 hours."
